The hotel is in the most stunning location with the most amazing view you could wish for. If you love the mountains, it is a slice of heaven to wake up and be greeted with such a stunning vista. The staff are friendly and welcoming, they will do anything to help. Breakfast was lovely, fresh fruit and choice of eggs or omelette all freshly made, again with a beautiful view from the dining room. Our bedroom was on two levels, with stairs from the door leading down to the bathroom and down again to the bedroom area, with a wonderful fragrance of cloves. Really great place to stay to explain the town of Ella and the walks you can do there

The driveway to the entrance is a bit scary! Also there was a slight problem with our A/C, but the lovely staff sorted it out.

AMAZING BED, AMAZING VIEWS! Also super quiet, staff accommodated our every need. The room was also nicely furnished and well-equipped. Breakfast was nice to have in the morning, though ask in advance for sri lankan breakfast, we enjoyed that well over the western breakfast. We read other reviews about the steep road and stairs, but if that’s a problem for you, you might want to reconsider going to a mountainous area in the first place :) Ps. Best bed of our whole Sri Lanka trip. Missing it.

A bit far to walk from and to the centre of Ella, so do rent a scooter or smth.

The room had a great view and you can sit out all day and work or just relax with nature right before you. The staff are absolutely first class - super friendly and welcoming who do their best to meet all your requests and even go out of their way to help. The property has a lovely garden as well, with a lot of fruit and vegetable trees.

The room was not very clean, particularly the dining table area and the floorboards, and there were a lot of insects around at night. A little more effort to maintain the place and keep it clean will make this an exceptional place to stay in at Ella.

Absolutely loved the people here. They couldn't have been more helpful. Helping us work out the bus system, helping us with a lift to our next destination, and just generally being amazing. The view as well was incredible and so worth being a tiny bit further out of the town, but it's a short walk up the hill to central ella.

Floors could do with a tiny bit more cleaning. But only a small thing in the scheme of things

Amazing soft bed and fantastic owner he couldn't do enough for us he ordered tuk tuks bought our train tickets and walked us up the stairs everytime we came back And what can I say about the views ......STUNNING its got to be the best views in ella

Could do with some bleach on the bedding and towels although obviously washed some of the white linen were stained

The view was incredible, the bed was so comfortable and the staff amazing. I even left my sunglasses in a taxi and they have tracked them down and will post them to Australia for me. Very grateful for the service from the staff, beautiful people and beautiful breakfast as well

Very good location with great view. It was very close to town. Very helpful & polite staffs made our stay comfortable.

No major complaints… there were some insects here & there. I guess it is quite common in such places. Otherwise it was good. Due to small crowd, doesn’t have much variety for breakfast. That’s not expected though.

The view from this place is INCREDIBLE, and the room is nice and spacious with a comfortable balcony. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly, with good suggestions and information about the area.

You have to walk up two or three flights of stairs to get to the room, but it’s honestly 110% worth it for the view. Not the best spot if you want quiet, as the buses all lay on their horns to warn oncoming traffic as they approach the hairpin turns on the road past the hotel.
