Cleanliness, Spacious Bathroom, Riza (staff in the evening shift) was very kind, friendly & helpful. Location is a fine and closer to the tram station, but still distant from train station. Breakfast options were OK.

It was very warm in Switzerland (in Aug) and there was only a single fan in the room. There was No AC in the room. One of the staff in the morning shift was rude & even opened the door to inform us on the check-out, after knocking twice. We were about to open the door, but he unlocked it which was totally unacceptable. We had informed him in advance about the check-out time, yet he barged-in. Breakfast options could improve for better - it was same for both days.

An excellent family run bed and breakfast boutique hotel with 12 quality rooms. The self service breakfast had plenty of options to choose from and was very enjoyable. The owner's son Riza was the perfect host who made our three night stay an enjoyable experience - he even personally collected us in his car late one evening after we became slightly lost walking back to the hotel from the tram stop following a day out in the city! Limited parking if you're in a car, but a perfect location for Zurich Airport.

Whilst the bedrooms were clean and very well maintained, there was a limited amount of space for two cases, and a second chair or stool in the room would have been useful. The bathroom had an excellent shower, but there wasn't enough space to hang four towels, i.e. an extra rail or a hook on the back of the bathroom door would have helped. The occasional low flying aircraft from Zurich Airport wasn't a problem for sleeping.

The breakfast was awesome, but there must be some sausages or vegetables for vegen or vegetarians. It would be great if hotel provides sauna service as well. otherwise, the staff were friendly. It was reasonable to stay with family. Location was awesome, not so far from city center.

I liked everything. I really enjoyed, most specifically the view from my balcony. Outside sitting place as well. The dining area is awesome, during summer you can spend great time sitting outside with your family. It would be great to have children play area as well. Atleast a small play room would be awesome.

A wonderful relaxing way to spend the last 24hrs of our European Trip before a 31 hr trip back to Australia. This property was very easy to find and only 2 tram stops from the airport with a 2 minute walk from the tram. The staff were amazing in this beautiful spotless Boutique Hotel. The staff gave us suggestions of relaxing by going for a walk along the little waterway close by and then a lovely stop at little lounge bar for a relaxing light lunch. Then back to the Gate Boutique Hotel to relax in the lounge with full use of their WiFi even though we had checked out earlier in the day.

There was nothing we didn't like... NO COMPLAINTS at all.

Zurich is a pricey city and I was highly impressed by this lovely little hotel at a much lower price than others close to the airport. Easily accessible from the Bahnhof by tram, then a 3 to 400 metre walk. Very helpful young man on the front desk when I arrived and another equally so when I left next morning. I didnt eat breakfast as I preferred to reach the airport earlier, but I would really have appreciated the dining room being open for a meal the evening l arrived as it had been a long day and I didnt feel up to walking to the restaurants I was told were nearby.

The hotel is on a busy noisy road, but other than that there was nothing l didn't like. It was something of a surprise to find that Switzerland's power outlets are not the same as the rest of Europe. However, the hotel loaned me an adaptor so I was able to charge my phone.

We enjoyed our Stay at Gate Hotel Zurich. If you want a stay near the airport this is a great place. The two brothers who work at the hotel (run the hotel) are very friendly, and made us feel very welcome. The windows and the noise reduction is amazing. We hadn't noticed how loud the planes are that fly over this hotel and we slept perfectly. The next day we went on to the balcony, heard the planes and we were impressed by the high quality windows and other steps taking from keeping the noise out of the apartment.

The additional bed (for kids) is small and not very stable, it worked for us.

I loved how clean it was and quiet. the soundproofing on the walls do make a huge difference with the planes flying above. they did an excellent job with that. I had a twin bedroom and it was perfect. resan at the front desk was absolutely great. he did such a good job. the breakfast was great too and it was included. He was also able to assist me in a little laundry that I needed since I’ve been on the road awhile. so helpful! I went mostly to rest a few days before I was back on the road again! will def stay there again if I make a visit!

there is no phone in the room to call, but not that serious - you can just walk downstairs.

Great cozy hotel very close to the airport at affordable price. It was very convenient for us (family with 2 young kids) as we wanted to stay close to the airport inorder to support our travel onward plans to interlaken. Staff was very friendly, hotel is just 3 stops away from the zurich airport, commuting transport (both bus and tram stations were very close to the hotel). We could see the planes flying very low as the airport for closeby and my kids really enjoyed the view. Breakfast was delicious and fresh. We highly recommend this place if you are planning for a short stay in zurich and want to stay close to airport if you are planning to visit other places in switzerland through trains (to visit interlaken , luzern etc.)

nothing i could complain. except for the table fan that was kept in the room was a bit noisy which was disturbing our sleep. If hotel management could check the fans in room 103 and fix it - this would be one of the best affordable stays you could get in zurich.

I stayed in the penthouse apartment. It's huge and was nice with marble floors and walls. There was an integrated coffee machine in the kitchen with old moldy coffee grinds. There was also a full fridge, but the freezer was dirty as well. There is a full kitchen, but hardly no utensils to cook with, which is extremely odd, because how do you cook?! There was also a washer and dryer, which was great! We had had a three-week vacation through Switzerland and France, so we stayed our last night here and could wash our clothes! The apartment does have giant impressive balconies, but the views aren't as impressive. Our entire stay, we only heard three planes fly overhead that were extremely loud. Sounded like they were going to land on the apartment. The breakfast selection was great and the staff was very kind and welcoming. All in all, I would stay here again.

My husband and i enjoyed our stay the staff couldn't do enough for us. The location was good for the airport which was only a 25 min walk, the tram was a 10 min walk. The hotel is in a nice quiet area. Breakfast was fair with cereal .croissants, egg. fruit etc. We didn't use the car park but there are enough spaces on and around the hotel. The room is spaces ,clean and the bed very comfortable. We had a early morning flight so the manager prepared us some breakfast to take with us which we really appreciated.

We had the studio room which had two rings to cook on but there were no cutlery etc.When we had a look at the rings it wasn't even connected to anything [ no wires or plug ] so if we had wanted to cook we wouldn't have been able to.There wasn't any restaurants close by.
