All the staff were very pleasant and very helpful. The hotel is well situated on the 21 bus route so Interlaken West is just a short ride away. Our room was quite small but it was clean and well presented. Breakfast is simple but ample.

The mattresses were quite thin and uncomfortable so we didn’t sleep very well. We were a bit disappointed that our upgraded mountain view room also faced a busy road and a Volvo garage. Interlaken is very expensive but the room rate did seem high for what was on offer. We were even charged for the two bottles of water in our fridge when it wasn’t made clear that these were not complimentary.

The hotel is in a silent area away from the city, but on a bus line, surrounded by mountains - nice views to all directions. It includes a nice spa with not one but 4 saunas! A nice garden, and plenty of parking. The breakfast buffet was exquisite, a selection of cheeses, meats, veggies, eggs, pastries, fresh juices, even featured Prosecco. The staff was friendly, especially Lea's smile and welcoming attitude was the highlight of our day. The room had a balcony, a fan, was roomy and clean, fancy shower, and a nice design overall.

A restaurant featured in the Michelin guide can be a bit pricier - awesome for foodies but lost on me. And the lack of A/C on hot summer days...

Staff were really helpful. The restaurant was excellent. The food at dinner was amazing. The restaurant staff were very attentive and their recommendations for food and wine were excellent. The breakfast was "functional" and covered the basics which is exactly what we were looking for. We chose the Salzano because it was about a mile or slightly more out of town within an easy walk to the lake - but others might want to be closer to Interlaken.

There really wasn't a lot to dislike about the hotel. The room and the bed maybe were a little on the small side but for us it worked out fine. The aircon didn't work so we had to open the window at night. The hotel definitely has that rustic charm, which is part of its appeal, but the room amenities could do with an upgrade.

The hotel was very beautiful. The room was comfortable and clean. The hotel is located not too far from all the major attractions, just a comfortable drive away. They had a ramp installed to enable luggage to be dragged up from the carpark. It was steep and narrow but did the job nicely. We were able to park on site for free in the parking lots shaded by leafy trees. There were even electric car charging stations available. Breakfast was pretty good, we had a choice of soft boiled, hard boiled and scrambled eggs which was more than some other places we had been to.

Not the fault of the hotel, the GSP system of our car could not locate the hotel, the address was not programmable. Google maps indicated that the hotel is "closed" and had us worried. However, "closed" was meant for the restaurant's kitchen at that time. So we were worried for nothing.

We had an incredibly exceptional stay at Salzano Hotel. The staff is family run, and from the moment we walked in, they were exceptionally kind, and by the end of our stay we felt like they were family to us. Fabian and Alexander took extra care to help us book day trips that fit for us, and they were such amazing people. The most kind. The spa was also absolutely amazing, 3-4 different types of saunas and steam rooms, ice sink, beautiful showers, an amazing chill room with a stunning view of Unterseen. The breakfast was also exceptional and FREE, beautiful meats, cheeses, jams, honeys, fruits, yogurts, cappuccino and espresso, fresh bread and more. We will be recommending Salzano Hotel to all our friends and family who visit Unterseen.

it is cosy. restaurant was fantastic. best trout salmon and asparagus soup ever. my tooth cracked and hotel owner and staff went out of their way to help me. they blended all my food, kept my dinner over night and heated it up for my breakfast. they got me an urgent dental appointment and dentist did a surgery. they helped me to get directions to my next destination. well run, good people running hotel. papa patrizia, mamma sonia and son fabian are totally fabulous people who serve from the heart.

Breakfast options were good. Parking access was also good. There is a spa on site but we didn’t have time to use, it is a nudist spa. You can access a discount card/ free bus travel locally by completing an online form. We used this to get into the town. There’s great easy walks along to nearby rivers and great for cyclists.

The Spa, Breakfast, the staff, the location, access to public transportation, all wonderful.

My absolute only complaint is that there was no AC in the room so I had to leave the windows open at night which made it quite noisy, being next to the road, I could hear cars all night. Plus the mosquitos made it in with me as well. :-(

Location was so wonderful. it was close to interlaken ost only 10min away by bus. there were so tasty and delicious breakfast every morning. people are so kind and supportive and we were so grateful for them. Definitely we will miss them and this place and will come back again!!!!

Awesome hotel! Everyone is super friendly and the facilities are great. Room was clean and had AMAZING Mountain Views. Breakfast in their cute Swiss restaurant was super charming, and the spa is very nice as well. Plus they’re really close to the freeway and the city, but far enough to feel secluded and private. We’ll definitely repeat.
