The hotel is in a beautiful elevated location overlooking the valley and the mountains on the other side. The rooms are spacious, have their own large balcony and good beds. They used a lot of wood inside which fit the winter use nicely. At the back you can easely access the woods behind the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful. They acted on our request to have an easily accessable room for our (large) dogs. There is a indor restaurant of a different but enthousiastic owner with a very nice outside terras. You do need to make a reservation in order to get de best tables. Slight warning. The road to the hotel and the parking is challenging. As a persons you must be mobile considering the steap road outside and the many staircases inside.

The prices are, like the rest of Swiss quite steap. The restaurant has to increase their professionalism, because serving a wrong dish or deepfrozen fish is not ok considering the prices you have to pay. Note that the problems were solved excellent.

Breakfast was delicious, the Peruvian chef is fantastic. At breakfast, they offer many types of cheese, marmalades, breads, food was delicious. The fondue was also marvelous! The view at the terrace is a dream, you can see the "Oxygen of the Alps" 180% degrees. I loved the hotel, and I would love to come back.

To get to the hotel, I recommend do not get off at the last train station in Leysin if you have luggage to be pulled, because there is a short path that is not paved. Instead, get off at Leysin-Feydey train station, from which is easier to get a taxi or walk, to easily bring the luggage to the hotel.

Pleasant welcome and all staff were very friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Comfortable room with everything we needed. A balcony overlooked the valley and mountains beyond as a stunning backdrop. The breakfast with excellent choices was enjoyed sitting on the deck with the scenic view. What great start to the day. After a short walk through the village we travelled in the gondola to the top of the mountain and doing a loop walk to catch the chairlift back down. The view from the sauna and spa bath overlooking the valley and mountains made a great conclusion to the afternoon before we prepared for dinner.

Dreamy location. If you go there using public transport, a small hill-train will get you from Aigle to Leysin, in what is a very steep climb. The view is magnificent as you can see the vast valley below and both green-covered and snow-clad mountains at a distance (in May). The sounds of bells from grazing cows in the neighbouring meadows make it a brilliant Switzerland countryside experience. The rooms were spacious. It's a pity we couldn't make use of the jacuzzi, but it was as beautiful as it seemed in the pictures. The restaurant food is excellent and the gentlemen waiting the tables were some of the finest in the world. They made our stay really memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast was delicious and had a lot of variety.

Since it is a small village atop a hill, there are not many restaurants and shops but who cares about that when you are in the lap of nature at its best.

We booked here as part of our honeymoon in May 23. If there was only the choice of ever staying at 1 hotel ever again this would be it! Staff were very friendly and accommodating on arrival and made us a charcuterie board as we had arrived before the check in time. Room was clean and comfortable with the best pillows ever. Food was lovely with a good menu choice and breakfast was superb! The views on the balcony were amazing complimented with the jacuzzi for a relaxing couple of hours in the afternoon. We loved everything about this hotel and would definitely go back. Had an amazing time !

Having to leave !

I liked everything. I've stayed there twice, and both times were absolutely amazing. The Twin Peaks-like beautiful wooden rooms, the comfy beds, the outdoor jacuzzi with the stunning view, the cocktails, the dinner, the large variety of food for breakfast, the vibe of the place, it's a real treat, especially if you have arrived after a long hike. Nothing is more relaxing. Not cheap, but totally worth it.

There's nothing I didn't like. If I have to mention one thing, then I think there should be more vegetables for breakfast.

Awesome breakfast - not too much not too little. Roberta received us when we arrived and in a very professional manner ensured that we got an upgrade of room as according to booking.com we had booked a room with view and balcony yet the initial room we were to be given was not that at all ( street side / no balcony etc) So yes Roberta was kind enough to change our room- though still somewhat looking at street and no Mountain View yet ‘ around the corner view’ plus yes, a balcony The hotel is quirky cozy and homely Elevator might need an upgrade as it was a bit on and off working The food was fantastic The restaurant staff at dinner time was a bit off - not really smiling and courteous enough I felt The room service - a burger for 38 franks I thought was overpriced The restaurant food choices were exquisite and well rounded choices as well as artistic presentation All in all we enjoyed our stay there!

Almost everything was perfect. The staff were all really friendly and went out of their way with the little touches and information they gave, including short cuts into the village. The food in the restaurant was amazing, lots of choice at breakfast and really good cocktails.

The only things i would change is harder pillows as the ones we had were far too soft (im sure if we'd have asked they would have helped but we were far too tired), and having coffee in the room

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice ambience and breakfast.

Thin walls - I could hear the couple next door talking and laughing until midnight. Not great value - I’ve paid less for a room that included hot drink-making facilities (this room had none) and more toiletries than just all-in-one shower/ hair gel. The tv remote was filthy - after Covid, that’s rather icky!

The outdoor jacuzzi overlooking the stunning mountains, the drinks professionally served, the sauna, the beautiful rustic chalet, the amazing rooms, the very comfortable beds, and of course, the amazing variety at breakfast were all exceptional. I can't think of a better place to stay, to be honest. We tried the food at the restaurant terrace (also amazing view), and it was absolutely delicious. I'll go back soon, I'm sure!

There is nothing I didn't like, we had the most amazing stay at this chalet/hotel. All our needs and wishes were catered for.
