Holiday Inn Express Zürich Airport, an IHG Hotel

Good location close to the airport and train station to get to central Zurich. Room was a good size and I was happy with all amenities.

The hotel provides a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel which is a great perk. However, I arrived on a late flight and when I got to the shuttle stop the bus was full. The next bus (2320) was the last one of the night and I waited 30 minutes for it. By that time a big queue had formed and I knew we would not all get on the bus. Thankfully I got a spot but there were many people left at the airport to find their own way to the hotel, with no apologies or assistance from the driver. The hotel needs to provide bigger buses or multiple buses to meet the demand.

Due to a last minute cancelation, our party of four had to scramble to find accommodations for our last night in Switzerland. We were able to book two rooms despite it being last minute, and we were pleasantly surprised at how nice and comfortable the rooms were. Although we had to pay for parking, it was extremely convenient. That evening, we walked 10 minutes into town for an excellent dinner at a quiet local restaurant then ended our last night of vacation sitting out in the HIX patio seating area sharing a bottle of wine (our own). In the morning we enjoyed breakfast at the free buffet before taking the easy 10 minute drive to the car rental return. This HIX is next to the airport, so it isn't scenic, but the town of Rumlang is kind of cute and, again, a short walk away.

Overall Value- hot/cold breakfast included with paid shuttle to the airport, clean and comfortable room. Walking distance from the train station. Was able to take the train from Zurich HB to Rumlang and walk 7 mins to the hotel while lugging 1 medium spinner, 1 rolling carry-on and a duffel.

There was a peculiar smell in the toilet; not an awfully bad one but a certain human scent ( like your grandma’s or uncle toilet). It would be good to sanitize thoroughly to eliminate peculiar human odors. This was in room 229. I have a ultra-sensitive sense of smell so a regular person might not understand this.

The Hotel room and bathroom had a really good size, beds and pillows were really comfortable. Our idea to stay in this Hotel was because we had an early flight to catch so the location near the Airport and the shuttle to the airport in the morning were really convenient as well as our aim to have a really good rest in our stay. The facility absolutely met our aim and we were even surprised that breakfast was included and starting from 4:00 A.M. In addition, the room counts with several charging adapter plugs (American, European, USB), so convenient.

Would have been nice to have a mini fridge since I bought some cheese to bring to my hometown and while moving from hotel to hotel I always had the chance to keep it in the fridge.

We loved the room, breakfast, airport shuttle, and the staff (ALL) were extremely helpful....GIVE THEM A RAISE!! The staff gave us directions on using the train (First time in Zurich) easy, on and off, about a 7 minutes walk to hop on and ride right into the Zurich's town hub, . once there, great underground mall with 200 hundred stores. The viator tours are around the corner from the Zurich station, the tram runs right outside the trains station door. For a full day of shopping, eating, and touring. The hotel is clean and breakfast was great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price per night is GREAT!!!!

Great service - the girl came out of bar to check us in since we were waiting for the previous customer to clear.. have not seen this in many places as people working across bar, food, checking in. Food and drinks available very late in the evening is a great facility for travellers. Breakfast by default included makes life so much easy - fantastic service by a guy and lady assisting everyone with breakfast, cleaning up. Keep it up, keep the price a bit lower

Clean and spacious lobby. Room has all the amenities and is spacious and comfortable. Great access to the Zurich airport via bus. Bus stop is a 5-minute walk towards Radisson Hotel. We took the public transportation (bus) to head back to the airport. Very friendly reception staff.

The hotel shuttle (HotelBus) from the airport to the hotel was ok. The driver looked like he hated his job and was at best, a grumpy man. If we knew the name of the bus stop, we would have avoided the shuttle. The driver we experienced was on Aug 1, 2023 in the evening around 4 or 5 pm.

It was close to the airport and offered a shuttle for just CFH 6. The staff was great and the restaurant was very good and open almost all day!

I had booked this Hotel from India through Booking.com only for three days, while as our trip was for a week of Switzerland. I had decided that I will take some other Hotel after that. Me and my Wife liked the hotel so much and we completed our entire Sightseeing from here only, We stayed completely Seve Days in same hotel, because of service, good breakfast friendly staff nearby Train Station Room Lang and close to Zurich Airport. Hotel 'new' and clean, well designed Staff Excellent, attentive. Location, right by airport....only a Subway sandwich joint and supermarket nearby...maybe another small cafe across the highway. ZURICH is very, very expensive....this hotel was a real bargain at $130. BUT food is very expensive and the dish I got at the hotel cafe (happily, cafe open 24 hours!) was expensive and mediocre...I got the Chicken Curry. Perhaps other things would be excellent, as the hotel is otherwise excellent. But it was $30 bucks (and the subway was $21). AGAIN, VALUE Excellent, hotel new, clean, well placed, cafe open 24 hours, staff excellent !
