This is a real mountain inn. If you like being up high, 8km from the nearest town, but only 20m from the chairlift then this is for you. Traditional style bar and restaurant. Mountain views in all directions.

We felt sorry for the young couple managing the place - it needed a little investment in staff/facilities but they did their best. Wifi wasn't working and TV control was missing. Limited menu choice - the traditional alpine macoroni or rosti were not featured. Good breakfast choice though. Don't let this put you off. It's a great place to stay.

The owner is ok, welcoming. The view from the balcony is nice.

I would avoid the hotel restaurant, very high prices for such a basic food and service.

Great hotel, exceeded our expectations! Location: 20 meters from the ski elevator, great view of the mountains and sunset. Room after renovation: brand new plumbing and bathroom, new carpet. Very clean! Comfortable mattress, pillows, blankets. There is a coffee machine in the room, capsules are given every day. Cleaned every day. Good noise isolation. Large spacious balcony. The room is very comfortable in the heat. Breakfast was really good and something new every day. Every day we had different cheese, meat, sausages, fresh pastries and coffee from the espresso machine + Yogurt, granola, eggs, fruit, etc. Special admiration to the team! Maximal attention, caring, doing everything to make guests feel comfortable! Good wi-fi and free private parking. This hotel exceeded our expectations, we will definitely be back!

Location is stunning. We had a room with a balcony, on the corner, so had a wonderful view over the town and the mountains. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was good. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was good with freshly brewed coffee.

The village is beautifully situated on the mountainside 15 min drive from the valley on a safe and not very frequented mountain road. There are plenty of pictoresque wooden houses. The rooms with balcony and the terrace of the restaurant provide view of the mountains on the other side of the valley. All attractions of Higher Valais (Oberwallis) are within convenient driving distance. There are a few free parking spots (reservation needed). I found the hotel very quiet, even though I am quite sensitive to noise. The staff are very helpful and are trying their best, they are Italians with sufficient knowledge of German and English. Breakfast is very tasty and filling, as was the fairly priced dinner I took once.

Breakfast is served only from 8 a.m., which is way too late for a hiking area. To be fair, I was offered cold packed breakfast being prepared the evening before, but the quality of the warm breakfast would have made it a pity to skip it.

Great view and location for good price-performance ratio. Although a bit smaller, our room was clean and with a recently renovated bathroom. The staff were always very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the daily changing breakfast.

The hotel wifi was slow and somtetimes unstable, but usable for basic needs. The hotel rooms were a bit clairaudient, but within acceptable levels. More than one ply toilet paper would have been nice ;)

Amazing view from the balcony, the room was spacious, confortable and clean. Very friendly and easy going staff. The village is quiet and peaceful, very relaxing.

Great mountain view. Good size room with everything you need. The balcony is super. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds and super quiet, except for the church bell. :)

the owners were fabulous. so helpful even on Christmas and Christmas Eve. felt like home. great views. great value.

careful to mind the bus schedule into town. it’s very convenient and inexpensive, but if you miss the bus a taxi is your only option
