Very nice small hotel at an excellent location. Friendly and helpfull staff. Cozy restaurant wit hogh quality food.

The hotel does not have air conditioning. In de summer period rooms get very hot, and remain unpleasantly warm during the night.

The location is great, and parking spots right across from the hotel entrance, which was very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed over Easter break and received beautiful Easter bunny bags, which we thought were a lovely touch. Breakfast was nice, and the restaurant is excellent (recommend the pizza 100% - they have proper kitchen oven and an Italian chef who makes them). The room was very large and had a nice balcony.

The only complaint was that we booked a double room and in our case it was two single beds pushed together rather than a standard double bed so it was not very comfortable because there was a gap right down the middle of the bed and if we moved too much the beds divided but asides from this, everything else was perfect.

The views were breathtaking, the dinner at the restaurant was great with huge portions, the large bathrooms, the comfortable rooms, daily housekeeping

Breakfast was very basic, no hot options in eggs except boiled, cold breads (no other bakery products). But large spread of cheese. The only way to access anything in the Lucerne neighborhood is to take the ferry. Since it was raining during our entire stay, we couldn’t access the hiking around mount Rigi, which is a shame as that’s what we were hoping to do when we booked the property. So we had to commute in the ferry everyday, the ferry timings are not very frequent, which meant waiting for long durations.

My young daughter and I absolutely loved this place. We arrived in the evening after normal hours and the owners had been in touch beforehand and left our key with some instructions which was most thoughtful and helpful. The pool was right by the lake and such a joy to relax in after a long drive. We had a quite expensive but really delicious meal at the hotel next door (as it was the Seehotel's day off). Breakfast was nice but maybe could have included some hot options (it's possible I missed this!). We were kindly allowed to leave our car in the car park until mid-afternoon while we got the ferry to Lucerne and back. A perfect stay.

This is a family run hotel and you can notice this immediately as everyone was super friendly and helpful. We had a 'basic' room, but this one was spacious, separate bathroom and toilet and had a terrace with view on the lake. We also had a great evening at the restaurant with the twins Gabor and Adam and the food was great. Overall are stay exceeded our expectations, we will come back!

Our room was in between two floors, which was a bit difficult to reach with the baby stroller as the elevator didn't reach in between floors. But we booked the same day so we fully understand that this could not be taken into account and we did manage perfectly in the end. Nothing else to add, our stay was wonderful.

A wonderful homebase to explore the Luzern region, while soaking-in the Lake Luzern beauty. A daily assortment of breakfast items served daily, including homemade Muesli. Various coffee preparations (Cappuccino, Americano, etc..) as well as "a la minute" soft boiled egg offered by the host (the family matriarch), all served with a dose of beaming enthusiasm to perk up your day.

Can't speak about all the rooms, but the one we stayed in needs a little decor reset - dark color carpet, and hospital white walls - not exactly pleasing to the eye, n'est-ce-pas.

Beautiful lake view from balcony, staff were all exceptionally gracious and accommodating.

The manager and his wife were wonderful! We ended up eating every mean overlooking the beautiful Lake Lucerne. We got to know the waiters and they were so kind. We went for a day into Lucerne, and the manager recommended the best restaurant, Brasserie Bodu which we have since passed on to friends visiting Lucerne. We had a great day, but couldn't wait to get back to Seehotel Gotthard. We would definitely return! Thank you for making our stay special ...

I accidentally rented one room that had 2 beds (per booking.com description) however upon arrival we were informed that the booking was incorrect but the staff was so amazing that they understood the situation and helped accommodate my entire family. The hotel is family run and you can tell the love every employer has for this establishment. Although booking.com made a mistake on their website the hotel itself did everything in its power to make the issue right.

We had a wonderful stay at the Seehotel Gotthard! The room was fantastic, well lit with a great view of the lake just in front, and with a balcony. The staff made the whole experience even better, always friendly and smiling, and very prompt to help us with our requests (parking spot, quite last minute restaurant reservation). The restaurant just by the lake is superb, and we ended up eating there every evening. We also had access to the nearby pool, and of course the lake! We'll return the first chance we get :)

A single mattress on a double bed is more comfortable than twin mattresses, but this was indicated in the reservation (twin room).
