Everything. from the first touch to the last. Called on the train, they had a cab waiting for us at arrival. Fast check in, rooms were ready at 9am already, even though we were supposed to check in at 16:00. They got us up the slope in no time and when we came down we got to enjoy the spa. No words, just wow. lost my key in the spa, no problem, got right back into my room. Dinner in the restaurant. Great price. Epic food. room was awesome. Not too hot as is often the case in ski resorts. Insanely comfortable bed. The breakfast was amazing. Omelet was perfect. high quality food and a stunning view of the matterhorn. Nice ski lockers - Heated gear the next morning was a win. On checkout they stored our gear and even have shower facilities so you can freshen up before the drive home. Taxi service back to the train and left with huge smiles and incredible memories

I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Restaurant food was aversge

We absolutely loved our stay at La Couronne Hotel & Spa. From the moment that we arrived to the moment we left, everything was perfect. The hotel arranged our pick up from the train station, which was a wonderful help, had our room ready upon arrival and welcomed us to a beautiful afternoon tea in their breakfast / afternoon tea room. The hotel is centrally located and has wonderful facilities, such as a spa room, sauna, ice room, and gym and we made use of them during our stay. We will be coming back to this hotel and recommending it to our friends and family.

Everything was perfect. My stay is delightful except that Matterhorn hid behind the cloud during my 2 days. The sauna and outdoor pool were wonderful as I had it all to myself. Take note, sauna is unisex and textile free (cannot don swimwear) Bed is very comfortable.Towels are fluffy. Ample space for 28" luggage. Ample cupboard space. Bathtub is spacious. Nice touch providing a backpack and one of the few hotels in Switzerland I have come across that provided shampoo.

Do provide toilet rug and conditioner too if possible! Floor can get slippery after bathing.

We really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were a good size. There is a heated towel rack in the bathroom. They provide a bag with things you will need for the spa (slippers, towels, robes). They have afternoon tea and cake. All in an all a lovely stay!

Overall, it was a great stay. The only thing that was a little confusing for us was the spa. There is an area you can go in with clothes and an area that is without clothes. But, there wasn't much information on how the area without clothes worked and no one was in the spa to answer any questions. The outdoor pool was a little confusing to get to, but very nice! Overall, great time, we enjoyed it and would go back!

Everything was amazing from the staff, room, breakfast (even as a vegetarian), views of the Matterhorn while you have your morning coffee. The spa area with a sauna, snow room and indoor and outside pool was so nice and exactly what was needed after a long day of hiking. I think this is one of my most favourite hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s a short walk from town and the train station. They offer a taxi service to and from the train station if needed. They even offer a backpack in the room for any hikes which was an extremely nice touch.

Nothing, everything was perfect

We have stayed here before. Great view of the Matterhorn from your big balcony. With chairs and a small table, and then couple chairs in the room as well that overlook the balcony and the Matterhorn. No air conditioner but does have a fresh air climate control feature, but we just open doors and windows in September. Refrigerator, typical 2 twin beds pushed together. Would be nice to have just a sheet but they have just two separate comforters, typical of Europe. Bed slept great. Breakfast is really great with a view of the Matterhorn. Breakfast staff were really nice. Happy retirement Christina. Right in the heart of Zermatt. We had a great stay once again. Thank you La Couronne!

This is a terrific property, conveniently located about a 10-15 minute walk to the train station and all of the cog-wheel train and gondola stations. The hotel provided pick up from the train station upon arrival as well as drop off to the train station when I checked out. The wellness center facilities are the finest I have ever experienced. I used the wellness facilities at least two hours each evening that I was there, and therefore, felt that this hotel was an excellent value. The breakfast was very good and the staff in the breakfast area really went above and beyond to make sure you had a meal that you enjoyed. I also utilized the coffee break every day. I would come off the trail, enjoy two cups of coffee and then have just enough energy to head back out and do another trail. So I was grateful for that. There was also an electric kettle in the room, which I do not believe is very common is Swiss hotels, so I was grateful for that too, and used it every day to make tea in my room.

The hotel does not have AC which I was not expecting. It was unseasonably hot during my days there. If it is very hot, the best way to cool the room is to shut the drapes as the afternoon sun can really heat things up. It was not an issue as I figured out how best to do this, but the first day, I had left my drapes open while being gone all day and my room was too hot and I couldn't get it cooled down until the sun went down. This would not dissuade me from returning, as I believe this is a top-notch hotel and a great value considering the wellness facilities and other perks.

There is a dining room on the first floor where breakfast is served. There is an amazing view from there to the Matterhorn. The hotel offers an afternoon coffee with various cakes and fruits included in the room price. I have never seen such a gesture before.

There is a SPA facility in the hotel with a salt room, sauna, etc. Unfortunately, many guests lack the culture of using these facilities properly, and there was no staff present to remind those guests, how to behave. For example, the sauna can be visited only by wearing sauna sheets or towels, not a swimming dress, or taking photos in and around the sauna room can be considered offensive to other guests.

One of our favorite stays. The staff was excellent and made our honeymoon experience excellent. We enjoyed our breakfast and afternoon coffee with views of the Matterhorn. We also enjoyed our room which was spacious, clean, and quiet. We didn't spend time at the spa but did check it out and it looked excellent. Great proximity to places in Zermatt. Hotel shuttle helped us get to and from the train station with our bags.

Wish the pool was open for longer hours!
