Montmartre is a cozy spot located in Old Town Zurich. The room was quaint & with it being a duplex (Maurice Room**), it gave us the feeling of being locals. Check-In: It was a breeze, quick check-in & check out. The restaurant downstairs was delightful & offered good options for food. Parking: I would not recommend driving in Zurich as this city is a lot more hectic than expected. But if you have no choice like we did, there are a few carparks & blue zone street parking close by. Keep in mind weekends are busy & the closest carpark might be at full capacity. Overall, the place is clean & charming. I would stay again during the week 🤗

**I will say the Maurice is not tall (height) friendly as the bedroom located above the living room does not have an open space to walk freely upright. That being said, we only stayed one night, so it didn't pose a strong issue. The church nearby, for some reason rang the bells all night or so it seemed not sure if it was due to some celebrations. If you're a light sleeper, that might be an issue but again, I'm not entirely sure if it was for that specific night or every night.

We loved the location- it's in the heart of the cobblestone paths in Zurich with little shops and eateries. There is a delightful cafe on the first floor that was perfect! The room itself was charming with a first floor living area and a loft with the bed. Very comfortable and charming! Bathrooms were very clean and nicely appointed.

This hotel's location was a bit further from the train station that we would have liked but was only a problem when we were hauling luggage to and from. The stairs up to the upstairs rooms are steep and hard to carry suitcases up/down but that wouldn't stop us from coming back!

What an absolutely wonderful experience our stay at Montmartre was!!! We were in the "Josephine" room. It was an understated, beautifully decorated, art deco inspired, vintage antique, Loft-like, immaculately clean space with a comfy large bed and sitting living room area. Bathroom had exquisite fixtures and was spotless. The "Josephine" room was exactly the same as in the pictures - Gorgeous with an exquisite architectural feature in the skylight. The Bistro downstairs was delightful and charming with delicious options. Check in/out was convenient, easy and efficient. The staff and specifically Marc-Antoine were absolutely wonderful. Ample instructions/information regarding the accommodation, check in/out, things to do, recommendations were provided. Parking in a parking garage was a short 5 minute walk away. The location is central and everything was within walking distance. Yes, there are the numerous narrow stairs and no lift to the second floor but it just accentuates and adds to the charming vibe of this unique place. (Information regarding the stairs IS provided beforehand.) Loved, Loved, Loved our experience in Montmartre!

Wonderful staff! Was able to enjoy the bistro as well during our stay. The room was very spacious and clean. The shower is on the smaller side, but we didn’t have an issue with it. The location in old town Zurich was perfect for exploring the city.

We knew about the fact that there isn’t an elevator, so we were prepared for the stairs. Potential travelers should take the note seriously, however, because the stairs were indeed narrow, and go up at least 2 flights depending on the room.

This was a very quaint, quirky place to stay. Our place was spread across 2 floors, with the bed upstairs and everything else below. It was very clean, spacious and fabulously located in the old town. Plenty of nearby options for dinner and breakfast as the restaurant below this apt closed early the day we arrived, and doesn't open on Mondays.

The fact that the bed was upstairs under the rafters, which looked lovely, but did mean that the roof was very low in places and u had to b careful not to bump your head. Plus u had to crawl down to reach the plugs. Also, as it is a fabulous old builing, there is no elevator, so you have to drag those suitcases up all the stairs yourself - a reminder to pack lighter next time 😁

Location, Design, staff, safety, welcoming bottles of water, bed, the floor curtain, sofa, bed and windows were super cleaned. We had all we needed. The owners were really helpful they provide us all the information that we needed even about sim card...

Everything was fantastic but for improvement I would suggest a trash bin in sitting room and maybe changing the bathroom curtain, down part of the curtain from outside had a small yellow spot.

We stayed in the Josephine room. The location is good, set away in a small side street. We arrived early at the hotel and were told we could leave our bags there until check in which was very handy. When we arrived back at the hotel we were told that the cleaner had an accident and had not yet arrived to clean the room, however we were allowed in to freshen up after a long train trip. The manager kindly refunded us CHF50 for this inconvenience which was very kind. The room was massive. Separate toilet and shower which were clean and a comfy bed. The TV is a smart TV so you can log into your Netflix accounts or watch things on YouTube which was a nice touch.

The room is massive and they only a small portable air conditioning unit. This did nothing to lower the temperature of the room as it is not large enough to have any effect on a room of that size so we had an uncomfortable nights sleep due to it being so hot.

Unique property in the heart of Zurich. The room is huge and nicely furnished - the bed in particular is very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cafe located on the property is lively and has great food. The location is unbeatable - right in the heart of everything; attractions, parks, restaurants and shopping are walkable in every direction. Very close to the Central Train Station. I thought noise from the street below would be a problem at night, but the hotel is on a small side street,and once the cafe closed at 11, the street noise disappeared and the room proved to be very quiet.

The stairs up to the rooms are narrow and steep (though the staff helped me with my bags). The room I stayed in also had more stairs up to the sleeping area - I wouldn't recommend the property to someone with mobility issues.

The Montmartre has a perfect location in the old town - restaurants, shops, and sights were all right outside our door. It is also very convenient to Zurich Hbf. The staff is very friendly, and the Cafe downstairs is cute and unique. Definitely way better than staying at a large, middle of the road mega chain hotel.

Only two small pillows on the bed, which was tough with two people. Also, the downside of being in such a central location is the early morning church bells that rang for several minutes. Also, the room is up a steep set of stairs, which may be challenging for some, or those with very large/heavy luggage. But these are very minor things that would not preclude us from recommending this property.

Completely unique room in the heart of Zurich, beautifully furnished and very spacious. Brilliant communication from host from booking all the way to check-out. Very central with easy access to main station and all sights. Brasserie downstairs does a great breakfast and will store luggage.

Not a dislike more a caution - cannot be accessed directly unless on foot, quite a few steps to room.
