This hotel is absolutely lovely, and it is right at the foot of the Lindenhof, a beautiful, shady park that overlooks the City. It's 9-10 minute walk to the main train station. Everyone who works at the hotel is extremely friendly. The woman who makes the breakfasts is one of the loveliest people I have ever met--and she makes fantastic scrambled eggs. Roman, who works at the front desk, will answer all sorts of questions. We really felt like we were being taken care of by a family. Be sure to talk with Frau Lacher, the owner, who is a lot of fun.

Generally, I prefer a hotel with a gym, but one is unlikely to find that in a charming 15th-century hotel. However, if you walk about 12-15 minutes north along the Limmat river, there is absolutely fantastic swimming.

The Kindli Hotel is a charming, classic boutique property. Whilst all the staff were pleasant, welcoming & professional we always looked forward to seeing Ruby at breakfast. With her unique personality & great service, she was sincere about making sure we had a great breakfast. Housekeeping were better than we had anywhere else. Many thanks for marking the final part of our European holiday with such a wonderful hotel & staff. Good staff can be hired, but only good management keep them this way.

The hotel was close to the main shopping areas. Restaurants all around the neighbourhood. Have no negative comments.

Lovely little hotel. Beautiful inside, wonderful staff. The room was smallish but bright and clean. The included breakfast was wonderful! We got in early and they were happy to store our luggage until check in time. My mother is obsessed with their beds. They're adjustable! You can raise the head or feet area, and they have wonderful cushy mattress toppers that make for a fantastic night's sleep.

The restaurant was quite pricey for dinner. The shower was a trip-the sprayer kept rotating on the pole as it slowly slipped down, so it sprayed out into the bathroom after 20-30 seconds of adjusting it to head height and above you as you stood in the tub. We tried everything to get it to stay but no luck. It was more funny than inconvenient. It also is located right in the middle of a steep street, which they cannot do anything about, but it does make it harder for older people.

when I read other travelled commented stating in this hotel was like staying at home, now I understand why! The hotel has been really good at accommodating all my questions and requests and treated me with such hospitality and friendliness: from having an adapter at my desk when I checked in, a large jar of warm milk at breakfast, endless supply of water, helping with boarding pass print and posting my card, late check out etcetc. A big special thanks to Roman! I already checked out today but left my luggage for storage. I was feeling unwell when I came back for luggage, and Roman was really helpful by giving me a hot jar of water so I can put my medicine in it and pulled the small desk in front of me. it did feel like home!! I am looking forward to coming back again.

An absolutely beautiful boutique hotel with the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep in! The detail to the design of the hotel is everywhere; beautiful colors, tiles, wallpaper, EVERYTHING is just beautiful!! It's so cozy and welcoming and in a great location. Breakfast was wonderful too! Suraya and Daniel at the front desk were very friendly and helpful.

Everything was perfect!

The Kindli is in the perfect location in the old town - ideal for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing - and is a beautiful old building. Rooms are comfortable and quirky, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Coffee and water in the lower corridor - a bonus.

One tiny thing: the fixed soap and moisturiser dispensers in the bathroom. They are stylish and the product is excellent, but the one in the bath/shower, while ideal for showering, is very awkward if you choose (as I did) to have a bath!

Ideal location in Old Town. Very comfortable and clean rooms and the AC worked well on the hot day we were there. Front desk staff and housekeeping were very nice and accommodating. They even held our bags for us after checkout so we could explore the city before catching the train.

Everything nicely presented and adequate. Delicious coffee And delightful staff Comfortable and friendly in every way Always a pleasure to return and see everyone once again. Lastly The Kindli enjoys an excellent location. In Zurich.

The parking is far from the hotel. In order to unload the luggage, it is not very easy as you have to enter the pedestrian area to leave the luggage there. It is better if you don´t have a car

Personal boutique. Loved the decor. Coffee tea and afternoon treat availability . The only complaint is the young desk person knew we needed directions to walk to National museum but failed to tell us it was not open Monday. We are 75.
