Friendliness of the staff. Catering for individual needs regarding dietary needs. The location was superb. Very restful and an air of tranquility. The place ws very eco friendly and interested in working with the community to help them save the forests while making profit from the land.

The water pressure made it a challenge to wash as well as we would like.and no hot water. But a minor issue and understandable considering the wonderful situation.

Miseni Retreat is certainly not a 5-star luxurious hotel; it is so much more. Miseni is a mission-driven experience that provides fabulous creature comforts like a comfortable bed and wonderfully prepared food in a natural environment. The staff show personal attention to guests’ needs at all times of the day or night and have incredible local knowledge about roads, wildlife and Saadani National Park. We wanted to stay in the tents. They had a proper bed with comfortable mattresses and they were cleaned every day. We imagined relaxing on the porch but the lodge and other lookouts were so inviting we spent very little time in our tent. I definitely this experience for people who appreciate being outdoors.

We were not prepared for the drive to get there. If you make your own arrangements, contact the site first. The drive through the forest to get there is a better drive for the day time.

beautiful location, charming, well informed and service minded staff. The interesting and inspirational tourism concept meant that we were well received by residents of the beautiful village of Gongo, and our walks in the surrounding areas were peaceful and informative.

a very nice place to stay ! all the staff is kind. we’ve applied for the Safari + the boat safari combined. it was amazing; a lot of elephants and hyppos and far from the crowdy other places. thanks a lot To everyone and a special mention to Salim.

Well managed retreat located in bush. Very helpful staff, good meals and accommodation. Excellent tour guide. Eco based with strong links to local community. Quiet and restful.

A little difficult to get to but worth the trip.

It was an amazing experience to be in the lodge. The staff was exceptionally friendly attending us on a personal level. The accommodation was comfortable, clean and the food was amazing. Good investment made with the ecological toilets, the solar power which made our stay stay sustainable, responsible and caring for the nature. I would definitely recommend Miseni lodge to others.

Distance to the lodge may be a challenge for those who dont like to stay long in a car.

The chef’s meals were some of the best in Tanzania.

The walk from reception to the loge was quite long.

Beautiful and peaceful resort surrounded by nature. The staff were amazing. They organized a tour to Saadani and the guide was very knowledgeable.
