Very delicious meals with reasonable pricing!! Also if you are looking for the genuine Zanzibar culture experience then this is the place! Located right at the stone town and quite convenient when looking to go for day Excursions like the prison island e.t.c also the local market is just nearby. And the ferry port as well so its easy to travel to and from the mainland🤗🤗

For a boutique hotel in Stone Town, it was a pleasant stay. The view from the rooftop restaurant is nice over the ocean albeit it's partially blocked by the containers of the seaport. There's a grocery store in the next building and a currency exchange office. If you're checking out early before breakfast time, you can ask for a breakfast box to be prepared for you. But you have to request it the night before your check out. The receptionists are awesome! They're very friendly and helpful. We forgot an item that we remembered while in the airport, and the receptionist (Iman) was kind enough to ship it to our next hotel in Dar Es Salaam.

The front desk Staff was helpfull at arrival and next day. The Room is magnificient. Best bed i got in my 2 weeks in Zanzibar. Nice pool and yard. The hotel location is ok. Not to far from center food market but kindda in dark alley for a 100 m. Did not feel theaten in any way. So not negative but better ligthing outside would not hurt. The price was really good with booking. I woud have not considered otherwise. Staff let me hang at the pool until i had to leave to airport at 2 pm. There is also a bathroom with shower at pool. So could swim & read a bit. Then clean up and changed without bother. Thanks!

The breakfast is the low point. Top floor. Room is beautiful with view on ship containers. with some ocean each side... The food is buffet. But not the best i had. large selection but nothing super good. The little pastries were good ! I like the Africafe Instant but in these type of hotel i was expecting real coffe and even expresso & americano. My shower design is not great. Opening in a corner floor gets wet. It's unavoidable. Pressure was barely ok. And took me a bit of time to figure how to switch between tap & both heads. But i got it! :-D

The property is a walk to the beach and surrounded by shops It is 500m away from Darjani spice market As well as 650m away from Old Fort You are also able to walk around Stone Town The Restaurant upstairs was great The swimming pool was super clean Also the convenience of having a gym

restaurant charges room service fee . This was not explained on arrival The WiFi signal is a bit weak

Clean spacious rooms. Close to the food market and Prison Island boat tours. It was nice to have a swimming pool to cool off in the afternoons too.

Breakfast was below average even when you got there early. Food was lukewarm at best. Taxi to the airport. I was quoted one thing by reception but when I got to the airport the driver told me it was 13000 shillings more than I’d been quoted.

Great Stay ! This was my first time in Zanzibar and Golden Tulip - Stone town was great choice. Great hospitality by General Manager and his staff. They were very polite, helpful and always welcoming to listen and give all kind of assistance. Location is ideal, few steps from the ferry port. . Breakfast was with great choice. I would recommend it to all kind of travelers.

Beds and Lighting of rooms need to be improved.
