The design, look and feel, simple and tasteful. Great location, quite courtyard with the pool, spacious rooms.

Staff at breakfast didn’t inform us what the options were, so we just assumed it was the cereal, bread, fruit etc. After we were nearly done we saw other people having poached eggs, full English, French toasts etc. The shower didn’t drain properly, we didn’t report it as wasn’t a massive issue.

The building itself was wonderful and a perfect combination of both traditional with the comforts of modernity. The room was very large and had a very good AC unit, especially since it was a very humid day. The restaurant food was incredible and the staff there were very engaging and friendly. We also loved the proximity to the airport. We stayed at a very modern all-inclusive hotel for most of our stay but it was an hour an a half away from the airport so we chose this one as it was only 15 minutes away. If we had known how charming it would be we would've stayed here a couple of additional nights. Next time!

There is some construction leading up to the hotel so it is a little hard to find at first and we had to walk across a bumpy alley with our luggage to get there. Though the street it was on is a very charming street the rooms are not very soundproof and we heard all the noise from people talking in the streets below.

The hotel is beautifully located in the alleys of Stone Town, 2 mins walk from Forodhani Gardens. The rooms were clean, spacious and tastefully decorated. Staff is friendly and food good. I personally loved the building, white, fresh and with many wooden decorations that made me feel I was on an old vessel. Beautiful!

Breakfast in the morning was a bit slow, i.e., we had to leave by 7.30 AM to catch a plane and only able to eat few things.

Professionally run, clean and comfortable. Excellent location to explore Stone Town (2 mins walk from night street food market, 5 mins walk from old fort, 8 mins walk from anglican church and local market). Good view of sunset from rooftop bar and dining area.

Stayed 2 nights on the first floor in a room with a balcony and on the Saturday street noise continued till quite late. No issue on Sunday night.

Charming hotel with a great deal of attention paid to detail in design. Great location for getting around Stonetown. The rooftop dining area is by far the best part of staying at Seyyida. It beat out all the other ‘top rooftops in Zanzibar’ locations I visited.

The bathrooms were clean but show signs of aging. A bit worse for wear especially considering the price of the accomodation.

Super friendly staff, who wants you to have the best time. Great location with short walk to the old stone town. Super spacious and beautiful room and bathroom:-)

The shower drain was suuper slow so the bathroom Floor got flooded. Breakfast could have more breakfast to choose from, there was bread but only nutella to put on it.

The rooftop view was beautiful. Great location, close to the main streets of Stonestown. Room was big and clean. Good food at the restaurant

The bed net could be replaced. There were some holes on it and it was not well attached to the ceiling. Some wall hooks would be very useful to hang bath towels and/or clothes.

Our room was very large and very comfortable!! The breakfast at the roof top restaurant was plentiful and has the best views, lunch and dinners were very tasty and fantastic sunsets!! We organized our airport transfer directly with the hotel, that way the driver will walk you through the pedestrian area to the entrance of the hotel. I would highly recommend stay at Seyyida Hotel!

Well located for access to the ferry port and old Stone town. A nearly very charming boutique hotel with a few quirks. Good sized rooms and a nice outdoor rooftop terrace.

As so often in East Africa it was all a little lackadaisical. Charming but sometimes annoying. Food quite mediocre.
