Mizingani Seafront Hotel

Location is right on the water but not in the middle of Stone Town, beautiful views while eating breakfast. Buffet is large with a lot of variety. The inside of the hotel is beautiful, feels very Moroccan. Staff were all very nice. Pool area is great. Wasn't loud inside despite being so close to the docks.

It's a little expensive but not that much considering the area. The excursions the hotel can book for you are a little overpriced but that's typical when you don't do it yourself and you're paying for the lack of hassle.

Very good location in the heart of Stone Town with sites within walking distance. Spectacular views of the seafront from the restaurant. The hotel reflected the historical nature of Stone Town with its own heritage. Beautiful decor throughout including features such as water fountains and seating areas.

Bathroom could do with better ventilation, the views from some of the windows were obstructed by the building next to it. Could do with better quality and selection of options for breakfast for e.g. juices.

Location and rooms were super. Breakfast was satisfactory with varieties. We love the balcony sea view with breakfast. The staff are nice gentle customer oriented. The free wifi connection was excellent on each corner.

The guest were playing pool table at 22:30 on 24 July night and making noise, which was disturbing the sleep. We went to complain the front desk staff first time, but the playing and noise did not stopped, again after 30 minutes we went and complain than only the guest stopped playing. The management should be looking on this and should not allow the guest to play the pool table after 9 pm.

This is an all-around great hotel. The location is excellent: on the seafront, close to the ferry terminal, tourist boat beach and a short walk from all of Stone Town’s main sites. The hotel is very comfortable with lots of character and charm. Breakfast was the best we had in Tanzania and there is a lovely rooftop terrace restaurant as well.

Absolutely no complaints. While it is on the more expensive end of the spectrum, this is still excellent value for money.

The location in Stone Town was great. The staff were nice and helpful. Nice to have a pool after sweaty walks in the city. The old style of the decor was charming. The breakfast was good, especially the avocado!! Lots of fruit and good bread.

Hard beds, bad WiFi that stopped working all the time. Only soap in the bathroom, no shampoo etc.

Just such a wonderful place and a good location to explore Stone Town, walk to restaurants to the evening food market. Excellent breakfast and a great view from the restaurant. Wonderful swimming pool in the courtyard.

Ask for a quiet room. The first night we were close to the water pump. But when we complained they moved us to a different room. There is no nice swimming beach close by, but then there is the wonderful swimming pool.

Over the years I've walked past this hotel many times, but this time I decided to check it out and give it a try. I can say i was not disappointed. The rooms are ok the breakfast was on point, and the view from the breakfast room, is excellent ( brilliant ) and all those good things.

For the short time I was there, I had nothing to complain about.

The position of the hotel was good as it was located on the seafront of Stone Town. It was nice to have a pool and the building itself was pretty and historic. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.

The breakfast could have been better and the restaurant menu could be improved.

Well established Seafront Hotel accommodation next to the Zanzibar ferry port. Nice spacious rooms.

The exit tax of $5 per person per night is not well informed on checking In and comes as a surprise. Too much Tax in Zanzibar for the Road conditions which are dreadful!

Our room was super spacious with a lovely sea view. Breakfast was excellent, lots of variation and options, and great service from the staff.

It was a little loud at times, noise from the street and the music academy next door practicing, but such is life! Deep cleaning our room every day at 10am when we would want to get ready for the day was a little odd, but who complains about good cleaning?
