This hotel is secure and in a central location that is perfect for solo female travellers without a car. The swimming pool is small, so great for a relaxing dip, but not appropriate for exercise (although travellers can use larger pools at other hotels for a fee). There is a nice selection of contemporary European fusion food at the hotel restaurant and many good Turkish and International restaurants nearby. All staff (reception, dining, housekeeping and technical) were highly professional and provided an outstanding, faultless service. English is spoken fluently by reception and adequately by most staff.

A few of the rooms have very little storage space (i.e., only a hanging rack with no wardrobe, draws or cupboards) which is fine for a short-stay solo traveller, but maybe not for a couple staying more than a few days. I would advise prospective guests to check the room specification with the hotel prior to booking. The hotel is arranged over several levels that are not all accessible by lift which may not be appropriate for the elderly or travellers with physical disabilities. Again, travellers with limited mobility are advised to check prior to booking.

Breakfast was extraordinarily good with a very attentive and kind waitress Fatma, who made our stay unforgettable. Spa facilities are nice and the view from the hotel terrace in the morning for looking at the hot air balloons is marvellous.

Some spa employees watched videos with highest volume in the spa area, while they were waiting for their clients. Should not happen in the spa area, where people want to relax.

The property was located within walking distance to all that is needed during your stay which is great. They organised our balloon flight and transport to with morning wake up call which was super helpful also. They assisted with my wife medical needs obligingly and respectfully. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms meticulously cleaned daily and replenished with bottled drinking water and alike. Staff were all friendly and extremely hospital. Breakfast was lovely and well catered for. Breakfast staff were very attentive to guests needs - well done. Motel is just stunning at night time and lots of lovely quiet areas to sit and relax during the day/evenings and admire the view.

The music speaker for the restaurant right outside our bedroom window was a little noisy when trying to sleep. May not be necessary especially when no restaurant guests were sitting in the outside area of the restaurant to listen to it.

Beautiful amenities, incredible views from property especially the rooftop restaurant/terraces. The management and staff members were extremely helpful and friendly! We will definitely recommend this hotel to friends, family or anyone who is looking for the best stay in Goreme. You’re walking distance from literally Everything! We had a car rental, so the hotel provides designated valet parking in front of their hotel. They also will help organize day trips and activities for you during your stay. The spa amenities were great! Loved the pool and sauna.

Nothing. Everything was great.

Room was spacious. The doctor was very rustic and pleasant. Our room had very easy access to the street and to the very nice terrace that was a gathering place in the evenings. The Euro cup was happening when we were there so it was nice to go up there and watch a few matches with others. The shower, although small, but had the water pressure i have never experienced. I also liked the fact that the bathroom was separate room divided by a small hall way.

I would have preferred an extra electrical outlet bcz between our watches, phones and tablets, my husband and I had to take turn charging our electronics. The sink area with the wall mirror was very very dark. We had to use my phone flash to apply a little make up or for shaving in my husband's case. I did inquire about it and was told it is the "cave" vibes!

Stayed for 3 nights at the Carus, one of the few high-end hotels in Goreme (most of the luxury hotels are in Uchisar). We wanted to stay at Goreme for easy access to attractions and their location was perfect! We had a fabulous experience which we will summarize: 1. Location: From the hotel it was very easy to walk to restaurants, shops and some hikes. We had a rental car and their parking valet service made it very easy for us to get our car in and out quickly (by the way, renting a car in Cappadocia is a fantastic idea! Everything is close, the roads are great and we felt we got a lot more done having our own car and sightseeing at our own pace). 2. Facilities: The hotel is part of a restoration project and therefore has a rustic feel, like everything in Cappadocia, but at the same time is quite modern, chic and stylish. We stayed in a masonry suite because we were worried of musty humid smells in a cave. Our room was ventilated and had a fabulous cave-bath, so we got to experience the feel of a cave without the downside of low light and poor ventilation. We loved it! The bed and furnishings are very comfortable and modern. The common areas are stunning and the hotel has a special treat in the undercave pool. Swimming in the warm cave-pool after our hikes was priceless! 3. Service and Staff: The hotel offers personalized attention and the staff was eager to help us in anything we needed. The general manager Mert is fantastic! Because we had a car, he took the time to sit with us to help us plan with great detail our daily tours. His recommendations for us of places to go and eat were right on the spot. The hotel staff also arranged for us the balloon rides and we had a fabulous experience with the operator they use. For those without a car, they can arrange for you all sorts of tours. 4. Food. The Carus has a beautiful restaurant on a terrace with fantastic views. The service was great, specially from a sweet lady called Fatma who has a lovely smile!

The breakfast was abundant and varied, if not among the top in quality within the group of comparable boutique hotels we stayed in various parts of Turkey over 2 weeks. I think there is room for improvement in the overall quality of the breakfast, but it was not something that took away badly from an overall fabulous experience at the Carus.

What a memorable stay from the moment we stepped in this lovely boutique hotel. The staff was amazing and so helpul. We were offered complemetary drink when checking in. The check-in was perfect and the staff helped us to book all our tours which were all really good. We were upgraded in a bigger room with such a view with a french balcony . To see the ballons in the morning was really magical.The room is nicely decorated and so spacious and the brealfast is just the best. What a memorable stay we had . I wish I could come back again . I want to say thank you to all the great staff there. The food is divine . I will definetely stay there again if I had to go back . For me it is really the best and very well situated . Close to the village . the restaurant being on top is just the best to see the ballons in the morning. It was really like being in a fairy tale. What a treat!

My dad and I stayed at Carus Hotel in April 2024 and it was nothing short of spectacular! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we were greeted with the warmest welcome, given a thorough tour of the premises, and provided with detailed descriptions of the tours available for us to indulge in. It was, hands down, the most exceptional hotel welcome we've ever experienced. The Carus team is outstanding! As it happened to be my birthday, the hotel went above and beyond by surprising me with a beautifully crafted birthday cake! Every aspect of our stay was truly wonderful. One cannot miss the breakfast spread—it's a lavish feast of delicious foods that will undoubtedly kick-start your day on the right note. And let's not forget about the rooftop bar, offering breathtaking views of the surroundings. The rooms were spacious and cozy, with beds so comfortable you'll never want to leave. Without hesitation, we highly recommend Carus Hotel for an unforgettable stay.

I think there could have been better lighting in the bathroom.

The location and property is great. The rooftop breakfast area we loved it, and special mention to the lady managing the breakfast. While we were looking for options in Goreme we were not really keen on cave hotels as we felt they were a bit claustrophobic, so we browsed through Carus, we really liked their stone rooms, with a window/balcony. I am glad that we chose this room/hotel as we had an amazing 3 nights and very good experience with our stay.

- The breakfast could be improved, as there were limited options as vegetarians for us and with no dry fruits being offered was a bit surprising. - The hotel does offer excursions like the red tour/ green tour but be mindful as they are much expensive than the options available outside within the town by various tour operators, infact if you just go out of the hotel and walk down you will realise the excursions are offered at a much cheaper rate. For e.g., Shuttle to Airport - 10 Euro outside vs 15 Euro (by hotel) ATV - 35 Euro outside for 2 hrs vs 45 Euro (by hotel) Green tour - 60 Euro outside vs 70 Euro (by hotel) These small things do make a difference and it would have been great if the team was able to offer us at better rates.

We were lucky to be upgraded and we also got a room with a very nice view, we really appreciated that. We got a lot of help from the front desk staff anytime we had any questions or requests. They helped us to call providers for a tour we booked seperately too. And they also arranged the ballon tour booking on our behalf. Unfortunately this was cancelled due to bad weather, but they organized the ballon tour the day after for no additional cost. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay, making it easy for us to do things :) Thank you for all the assistance and for beeing so kind to us on our once in a lifetime trip to this special place in Cappadocia :) The breakfast staff was also very kind and sweet, thank you!

The madrass in the bed was a bit well used. But the bed was very big and we slept well! :)
