Staffs are very friendly and helpful. They made great suggestions on where to eat depending on your itinerary for the day. Also, the hotel is situated at the heart of the city, very close to Sultanahmet tram station and the mosques. You won't even have a problem with eating because there are lots of restaurants and fast foods nearby.

Excellent accommodation. We stayed for 3 nights in Istanbul and we wished we stayed more. The hotel has great location, extremely near the Grand Bazar and all major attractions, on a not so busy street. Indeed the rooms are small, but we didn't mind because we only used the room to sleep at night. The breakfast was good, few options but fresh and enough to start the day. The staff was very friendly, they speak English and provide all necessary information you ask. They do not have a parking space of their own, but they help you find one (they came with us in the car to a parking space and showed us where to park). The walls are thin and you can hear some of the noise from outside, but again we did not mind because we were so tired that we fell asleep as soon as we got in bed. Overall, it was a great location, good price for the service you receive. We will most likely stay here again in the future.

Everyone at the hotel is super helpful and accommodating, and they work 24/7 (we checked in after 1am!) The hotel team made us feel like we are part of the family, and they did everything in their power to make us feel welcome. Keep in mind: this hotel and area of town are old; hence, you don't get to live in luxury, and the property is very small. However, you can't beat the fact that every possible touristy attraction is within a 5-min walk! Literally can't beat this, and we were able to cover the entire old city within 3 days on foot!

A small family run hotel in the perfect location for seeing the main sights of Istanbul. It is just a few minutes walk from historic Mosques, the Topaki Palace and the Grand Bazaar. Excellent transport links to see the rest of the city. Tram and Metro nearby. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is good. Fresh bread, cheese, cereal, pastries, tea, coffee and fruit juices. However the best aspect of the hotel is the staff. The owner is a former wrestler whose trophies and medals are displayed in the reception/breakfast room. Special mention must be made of the lovely young lady who serves breakfast. She is so kind and will tell you lots of information on Istanbul and is genuinely interested in what you've done and experienced in Istanbul. I highly recommend the Arife Sultan Hotel.

Great hospitality. The staff welcomed us with hand freshener and sweets and was so helpful in explaining the location and nearby sights to us.

This hotel is located near to Sultanahmet Tram station, an excellent location. The management and staff are exceptionally good. They really care their customers. The owner of hotel is very friendly and nice person. They serve wonderful breakfast and the hotel staff is very good. They clean the room everyday and solve any issues if encounter. The hotel also provides information about city tour and can arrange airport transfers. I really enjoyed my stay there. Really worthy. I can grade 10/10. i am satisfied 100%. Highly recommended to stay there.

The staff were amazing, we'd arranged for an airport transfer and our plane was diverted. The staff kept in contact and changed our times. We arrived, were advised of a wonderful restaurant etc. The staff were amazing, giving us advice on where to go, arranging for laundry to be done, negotiated better prices on taxis for us etc. Your not staying in a 4 Star Hotel, but the price, location and customer service were well worth it. The cost of this was only about $240 AUD for 2 nights and included breakfast. 5 minute walk to the Blue Mosque, so the location was great. Highly recommend.

Central location, within Sultanahmet area. Friendly welcoming staff, offering very helpful advice about travelling around Istanbul. Our room was clean and comfortable with a handy safe. The self-service breakfast was generous with plenty of fruit & juice available.

The shower was a little tight for space. The window was double glazed but did not close properly. As we were in the room over the entrance, we could hear people coming and going late at night and chatting loudly in the lobby. Maybe they could consider introducing quiet hours after a certain time.

Excellent location , wonderful , friendly , helpful staff especially Yesim at the reception desk. The hotel was extremely clean , rooms were cleaned daily. And as I was fasting during the month of Ramadan , the hotel were very accommodating and made sure that food was reserved for me during suhoor ( Which was really appreciated). Due to the excellent service and location We will definitely be staying there again and indeed we look forward to our next visit !

The location was very nice, right in the center next to a lot of restaurants and close to a lot of the sights in Istanbul. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Breakfast was simple, but very good.

The beds were kind of hard, but I think that might be a personal thing. The shower was clean, but a few of the tiles were broken and the kit layer was somewhat moldy. The showerhead was broken but that was actually a good thing, otherwise the amount of water coming from it would've been a bit shy.
