The staff was very accomodating. Sevgi was a breath of fresh air always asking if anyone needs anything, checking if everything was to our satisfaction. The other employee was also very nice and helpful ( didnt know his name). Cleaning staff provided small things that were needed in our room without being told. The receptionists were very helpful in many areas since our stay was a long one. Had an incident in the tram and a walet was stolen along with my credit cards and sim cards.. Mr. Ihsan the receptionist offered great help at the time even gave us the hotel phone to make international calls to cancel the credit cards immedately. Breakfast buffet was good. The view was amazing, I even invited relatives to spend the evening together on the Terrace. Upon leaving, the receptionist gave us a small turkish delight box as a farewell gift. Definetley recommed it.

The size of the room wasnt the same as was written in the website. But it was enough for us so I didn't make an issue of it.

It's a fantastic hotel. The view is probably the best in Istanbul. Terrance is open 24/7 has close views of Aya Sophia, Sultan Ahmed blue mosque and many others. The terrace is an amazing feature with coffee and tea and friendly staff. Great for relaxation. Especially Sevgi and Gokhan made us feel welcomed. Sevgi served us delicious Turkish coffee. It's a great location with most touristy attractions within walking distance. Breakfast is included which makes it a good deal. Thank you Rast hotel and staff. Forgot to mention the lobby was very comfy to wait for cabs and chill at too.

Everything was great one comment is the rooms are smaller and moderate condition which is I heard is usual for European hotels in historic neighborhoods.

Room was on the 5th floor. The floor above is the breakfast room/roof terrace. What this meant was that from 7am each morning there was considerable noise from chairs/tables being moved around the floor above. The same was true if anyone went up to the roof terrace at night (happened once). I would certainly stay at the Rast again but probably ask for a lower floor; if you are an early riser it would not be a problem.

on booking, this hotel is rated 4 stars, but when i arrived i saw at the entrance it is a 3 star rated hitel

Hotel is small and very pretty, but the best part is definitely the view from the rooftop restaurant. You will be seriously stunned! Staff is really kind and friendly, especially in the restaurant, and I need to emphasize, so patient with guests making photos all the time. :) Location is the best you can imagine in the European part of the city.. Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque are in less then 10min walking distance. Breakfast was served even before announced time. It was different every morning and, for me personally, it was great that it had mix of traditional Turkish and international dishes. Even though the hotel is modern, I loved the way they served Turkish coffee. To sum up, we were really happy with our stay!!

The hotel is in the perfect location by all the main tourist attractions in Sultanahmet. The tram stop is walking distance too. The hotel was very clean and has all the amenities you would expect. The breakfast terrace is perfect as it has very good views and the hotel provides a very good selection of breakfast items. The breakfast staff Gokhan was very helpful all the time and went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable and ensure we were happy at breakfast. Bayram and another gentleman at reception were very helpful in assisting us with our queries and best locations to visit and how to get there which is very useful. The rooms were cleaned and cleaning staff were very nice and always smiling and ensured the room was cleaned everyday. I would definitely stay here again as it is the perfect location. There is also a lift and the reception area is very beautiful. The historical books in reception give a very good history into the famous locations too. Really nice touch.

We stayed 3-8 September 2023 at room 402. Superb location. Just a few minutes walk to Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Basilica Cistern and Grand Bazaar. Also a stone's throw from Sultanahmet tram Station. Plenty of eateries there. Hotel staff is excellent, wonderfully attentive: Gokhan, Bayram and the lady boss at breakfast are superb as is the chambermaid. Breakfast excellent at level 6 rooftop with stunning view of the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and the harbour. The room is well-equipped though the flooring is not carpeted and furniture a little dated. Shower excellent. Air-conditioning works well. Also took care of airport transfers to and fro; very prompt and punctual €60 each way.

Surrounding street can be noisy in the night.

great location, in walking distance of all the main attractions all the staff were wonderful and so helpful The 2 men on reception were great we paid extra for large suite on the 5 th floor with a big balcony and wonderful views of the city mosques and the Bosporus straights beyond Room 501 The breakfast was amazing and waiting staff and the chef were so lovely and helpful every morning with top floor views of the city Adil, Gotham and Sevgi ( Silvia ) deserve special mention

The air conditioner in our room was a little temperamental and needs attention

All the staff were very nice and friendly. The views across the terrace were fantastic at breakfast. Amazing views and location for hotel which is close to all the attractions. I had a double room which was very comfortable and spacious. The room came with a balcony which is really nice to be able to have for a hotel at this location. Breakfast had a good selection and Gokhan was really very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. At reception Bayram always helped us and gave a good service. We thank the hotel greatly for making our stay special as we had booked 5 rooms altogether. Really good facilities and lobby area was great.

We have a very pleasant stay at Rast Hotel. The hotel is well managed with excellent hospitality . The staff at Terrace cafe -Gokhan, Bethan, Emre and the lady and Ugur at the front desk are friendly, helpful and cheerful. The hotel is conveniently located with a few minutes walking distance to most tourist sites like the blue mosque and palace. Terrace cafe is open for 24 hours with spectacular sun rise and sunset view in the pleasant open podium.

Blanket is too thin. Hairdryer is not convenient to operate for you have to hold the button to let air out.
