Hotel was wonderful. All the staff were kind and friendly. Greeted us with kindness. They took care of anything we needed. Tours, private transfer to airport. Our room was a good size for the 3 of us. Bathroom very good size with large clean shower. Room was very clean. A/C worked great. Beds were good. The breakfast was very very good. They had a lot to choose from. Boiled eggs, scrambled eggs. Etc. expresso/ cappuccino machine. Tea, juices. The staff very friendly. The view from breakface terrace was amazing of the city, Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. Pictures do not do it justice. Very short walk to all main attractions. Hagia, Blue Mosque, Basilica Cistern, Grand Bazaar and tram. Great location for 1st timers like us.

Wonderful Stay at the Heart of Istanbul!” I recently spent a week at the Rast Hotel in Istanbul, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city with easy access to all the main tourist attractions. Within walking distance, I could reach iconic landmarks like the Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, and Topkapi Palace, which made exploring Istanbul incredibly convenient. One of the highlights of the Rast Hotel is definitely the rooftop cafe. The view is simply breathtaking! From up there, you get a panoramic view of Istanbul’s historic skyline, especially stunning at sunrise or sunset. Whether sipping coffee in the morning or enjoying a meal in the evening, the rooftop view added something truly special to the stay. The hotel’s staff was friendly and accommodating, always available to answer questions or provide recommendations. The rooms were clean and comfortable, offering a cozy space to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Overall, I’d highly recommend the Rast Hotel to anyone visiting Istanbul. It’s a perfect blend of location, comfort, and charm, and I would happily stay here again on my next trip!

The staff was very accomodating. Sevgi was a breath of fresh air always asking if anyone needs anything, checking if everything was to our satisfaction. The other employee was also very nice and helpful ( didnt know his name). Cleaning staff provided small things that were needed in our room without being told. The receptionists were very helpful in many areas since our stay was a long one. Had an incident in the tram and a walet was stolen along with my credit cards and sim cards.. Mr. Ihsan the receptionist offered great help at the time even gave us the hotel phone to make international calls to cancel the credit cards immedately. Breakfast buffet was good. The view was amazing, I even invited relatives to spend the evening together on the Terrace. Upon leaving, the receptionist gave us a small turkish delight box as a farewell gift. Definetley recommed it.

The size of the room wasnt the same as was written in the website. But it was enough for us so I didn't make an issue of it.

The location is perfect, just a short walk from the main tourist attractions. The view from the breakfast room is exceptional. Each morning, it was a delight to see the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, and the Bosphorus up close. The highlight of our stay was the staff. They were incredibly pleasant and always willing to help, making our stay both enjoyable and unforgettable. Special thanks to the ladies in the breakfast room, Guler and Gunes, for making each morning so delightful, and to the receptionists, Bayram and Gokhan. Their assistance and friendliness were invaluable. The breakfast was exceptional – varied and delicious. The Turkish coffee served by Guler and Gunes was a real treat, as was the care they took in preparing it.

The bathroom was somewhat small but functional. It’s something to improve, but not a dealbreaker for wanting to return to this hotel on my next visit to Istanbul.

Fantastic location for all the main attractions in the Sultanahmet area. Easy to walk around. Easy check-in at reception who were also helpful in providing information, maps and details of tours. The room had 3 single beds which was perfect for 2 female travellers. We did not have a balcony or view but did not feel this was necessary given the roof terrace which has magnificent views of Blue Mosque and Hagia Sofia. Good choice at breakfast, plenty of options to meet all dietary requirements.

The lift was a bit slow but we used the stairs. The breakfast buffet food needs labels so that guests can understand what they are eating.

The hotel is located in the heart of the Old City, a short walk from all of the major attractions/museums etc. All staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and made for a wonderful one week stay. The 'jewel' of the hotel is a roof terrace where an excellent brea4kfast can be enjoyed with what must be one of the most spectacular views in Istanbul.

It is hard to fault the hotel. Since the breakfast was excellent and the views spectacular, if the hotel ever decided to serve lunch or dinner (or even evening drinks), I am quite sure it would have one of the best restaurants in the district.

We had an amazing stay in the Rast hotel. The staff were so helpful and kind. We arrived at 5am and were unbelievably delighted to be able to check in early- not just that, but also to get breakfast that morning! The breakfast is truly superb. We were able to use the terrace for free tea and coffee at any time and we often had picnics up there too. The location is ideal, right beside major attractions and also a couple minutes walk from a grocery store and great restaurants. We were given a box of turkish delight on departure which was a lovely touch to finish off our visit.

The only downside of this hotel is lack of a gym but there is one within easy walking distance. The bathroom is rather compact but adequate and well stocked with shampoo etc daily

Location: close to all sights including the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar. Staff: friendly and professional. And when you leave they give you a nice gift of Turkish Delight. Breakfast: excellent variety of food in a terrace with a view over the local sights including mosques and strait. Wonderful. As good a view as any in the city.

Rooms: they are small (at least for one person in the single room in which I stayed). The rooms could do with being redecorated because of issues such as torn wallpaper. The curtains don't fully close -- meaning light gets into the room in the mornings when you still want to sleep. Breakfast: coffee is bad, all else is great.

From check in to check out, this was a fantastic experience. Great, friendly, informative staff at reception, a brilliant doorman on check in and great staff on the roof terrace at breakfast (thank you Sun!) The staff took such good care of us - nothing was too much trouble. Hamza, the great general manager also checked in with us to ensure that we were enjoying our stay. The hotel is close to everywhere, from the Blue Mosque to the Grand Bazaar, great food, great shopping and the roof terrace is fabulous. Everyone going to Istanbul should stay here - it's really great. Highly recommended

The place was so spacious. The cleaner also did such a good job with cleaning the room. The bed was comfortable, the view was perfect. Breakfast was so nice. The lobby was amazing and the receptionists were so polite and respectful. The location was so close to everything, the tram stop outside was so convenient getting out and about. I’d definitely come back to this hotel again. We stayed on the other side of Istanbul and instantly regretted not being in this hotel longer over the other.

The elevator took forever to get around and the drain in our shower was kind of blocked so it flooded our bathroom each time we showered. But they fixed it during our stay so that’s me being a harsh critic.
