Breakfast finished at 11 am fantastic ....but one or two staff wanted you to hurry put of area when you were just relaxing over your last tea and mouthful ......must allow you to vacate in a reasonable time (not wanting more food) just digesting and talking leisurely . The rooftop restaurant is excellent food but very dimly lit needs new colour scheme ,great staff

The staff was excellent. Arafa greeted us the first night and he attended to our every need. He and his staff made excellent recommendations on places to eat and things to do and assisted us with a tour guide. The breakfast was superb - local and western style breakfast items. The pomegranate tea was the best! Location was spot on! Easy walking distance to all attractions. Room was large and able to accommodate the whole family. The spa and ham am was excellent and relaxing after along day of sightseeing. Every need was met! I would highly recommend this hotel to everyone and would stay here again! Thank you all for a wonderful experience and visit to your beautiful city!

The location was close to the old city and walkable to some of the main attraction, yet off the main road so that it was a little more private Hotel provided a free upgrade to the room on their own initiative Provided services like 'rental' of the metro card so that customers don't have to purchase one

The hotel breakfast was really quite average in terms of selection and quality. Did not feel it was worth the price charged. Followed the recommendation of the hotel on the Bosphorus cruise operator, however the experience with the operator was not the best experience. They should consider ensuring recommending better companies

Excellent hospitality. Great location near tram and main historical attractions . Very good restaurant. Rooms nicely equipped. Breakfast - good selection. Swimming pool very relaxing. Even afternoon snacks provided. Reception very helpful. My wife was unwell hotel provided immediate medical assistance. Excellent team running this hotel . We stay for 7 nights. Highly recommended. Communication officer extremely helpful. They speak many languages.

We had in total 16 people from our team stay at Hotel Sultania. We needed a place to have meetings, get work done, and explore the city. The staff set things off to a great start with their friendliness and willingness to help at every turn. The hotel was perfect for our needs -- excellent conference room with multimedia tech (projectors, audio, food/snacks as needed, customizable table arrangements, etc.), an incredible breakfast every morning with an assortment of delicious foods, and an ideal location close to some of Istanbul's most iconic locations. It was absolutely perfect for our needs and I would recommend this hotel for any business/team oriented stay without hesitation.

The Hotel is in an ideal location for both attractions and restaurants - all of which are easily reached on foot. The hotel itself is about 45 minutes to an hour away from Istanbul Airport (IST) - and this is typical for all central hotels. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, they helped us choose a number of places to visit and advised on where to eat out. They helped us to meet the taxis and always ensured that we were certain of where we were going. Our room was lovely and clean, the bed was particularly comfortable. Breakfast is excellent - with a choice of self service, continental buffet and also hot food cooked to order. In the afternoon they provide a free afternoon tea - which is great after you have been exploring the city. The hotel is located on a quiet street - which is off limits to through traffic - so you can step out onto what is mainly a pedestrian road.

There is nothing that we didn't like about this hotel - given the opportunity to stay in Istanbul again we wouldn't hesitate to stay at the Hotel Sultania.

Breakfast was wonderful, really nice spread. Design of the hotel. The room was big and spacious and had everything we needed. Great spa facilities. Location was amazing 11/10. Staff were very friendly and always willing to help.

The room was a little noisy (could hear the outside traffic and the restaurant across the street at times) - nothing ear plugs can't fix! Avoid the restaurant at the top - it was truly horrible! The view is great but the service was awful, the food was mediocre and the atmosphere was cold and uninviting.

Wonderful hotel! I chose it based on the sultan design of the rooms and it is wonderful. The staff is amazing, especially Hosan and the ladies at breakfast. Breakfast buffet is very plentiful with lots of options. Also really like the soap in the room, the hair dryer works very well (lots of power), and the choice of pillows on the bed is fabulous! Very comfortable stay to explore all the sights of Istanbul.

This is no fault of the hotel, but I stayed in room 1106 and as I’m a bit claustrophobic, found the windows to be small. A larger window or being higher up with more light would have been nice. I return to Hotel Sultania on October 5, so hopefully will have a different room this time.

I spent 7 nights in September and then another 4 nights here after a two-week tour through Türkiye. I had booked the hotel for the style of the room - just lovely. I don't know if it's because I was traveling solo, but the deluxe room I had the first week (1106) was tiny and had two small windows. It made me consider changing hotels for my return, but figured I'd give it another try. For my second stay I noted that I didn't like the dark room with small windows, so ended up with a deluxe room on the 4th floor which had two large (floor-to-ceiling) windows with standing French balcony and was a thousand times better. I really enjoyed that second room. The choice of pillows is fantastic, the shower hot and comfortable, and the toiletries are really nice. Wifi is also lightning fast for backing up photos online. Especially Hosan and the ladies at breakfast were exceptional. Really enjoyed my two stays in Istanbul.

- Room 1106 is dark and has two small windows. My second room (1404) was wonderful. - The fact that many hotels seem to charge in Euros, which can mess with currency conversion rates when coming from Canada. First the hotel has it work in their favour when charging Euros and not TL, and you lose the benefit of the current TL exchange rates.

We were blown away by the staff at the Sultania. They consistently went out of their way to may our stay exceptional. They are amongst the best staff we have experienced in our travels. The rooms were great, the breakfast was lovely, and the staff was very helpful in arranging tours and transportation. They were able to get my mobile phone repaired and to accommodate our last minute need to stay another night. All in all our stay was perfect. The location is ideal.
