Location very good, quiet except at prayer time as I could see the Hagia Sophia from my window. The property is being renovated, which should be completed soon, and some of the rooms were out of use. As a result I was given a bigger room than I expected. The staff were very helpful. Due to the renovations one breakfast was taken in the adjacent cafe but both the breakfast at the hotel and the cafe were buffet style and with plenty of choice.

There wasn't anything. There is no lift but this did not matter for me as I like to get exercise. However I thought I would mention it

This hotel is in an excellent location (walking distance to the mosques and touristic sites). Amazing restaurants around. Great value for money! I highly recommend staying here for an ideal location.

The location of hotel is in city centre only few minutes from all attractions. It is located in calm street. Stuff were kind.

Good choice of breakfast, very nice room with a great view of Hagia Sophia, very courteous staff. The property itself is lovely.

The common areas as well as the rooms need more thorough cleaning. The pillows had no pillow cases and they looked very worn and yellow. This is a real pity because the property has a stellar location and the rooms are tastefully decorated.

Staff members are very friendly and helpful, specifically I am thankful for Atakan, Hüseyn and Leyla xanım (in the kitchen). Also I liked the thing that the kitchen is accessable 24 hours - like a home you can take your free tea, coffee, water whenever you want and 24 hours receptionist. Variety of the food in the breakfast. Finally, it locates in just a walking distance to some of the necessary attractions (like Sultanamet mosque, Grand bazar.. go down 20-30 minutes Eminonu etc. Summarize, these are the points I liked.

I can't say something so badly we didn't liked, but I think there's a need of renewing somethings in the room. Another point, the stairs are narrow because of locating in an old building. It makes difficulties with heavy luggages and not easy accessability for disabled people. There's no lift. That's all.

The hotel is situated in a perfect spot within very easy walking distance of Sultanahmet. Also close to two tram stops. All staff are exceptional and with special thanks to Sabrii and the lady who is cook and cleaner. Rooms are basic but comfortable. Complimentary coffee, tea, water (requested at reception or offered to you when you return to the hotel from a day out and about) is a lovely touch. There are some stairs to climb to the rooms and staff will help with your luggage.

The following comments are my opinion and would not stop me returning : advertising pictures are out of date, from what we saw, bedrooms could do with being repainted and bathroom grout replaced. Also, communal areas could do with a lick of paint.

Everything was great! Location is easy to get to from the Gülhane tram stop and just a couple minutes walk from Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque, and other tourist sites. The property is an older building with a lot of charm and very clean and well cared for. The bed was quite comfortable and the air conditioning was cold and quiet. Breakfast was simple but all very tasty. All the staff were nice and accomodating. I only remember Ebru's name, but the others were great too! I checked in at 11pm with no problem. I definitely recommend the hotel and would stay there again the next time I visit Istanbul.

The property is well located in the middle of everything between the Grand Bazaar and the Hagia Sophia. The property is quirky and well appointed with great views. The staff were helpful and kind. They were quick to bring our exceedingly heavy luggage up and down the stairs for us. Breakfast was very good.

While we knew what we would get with a historical property, after a long day out climbing the three flights of stairs at the end of the night was a bit of a struggle. So just be aware that there is no elevator. The shower was also a little narrow.
