Ilocation couldn t be better. Rooms on a bit smaller side but we were all day out so we used hotel just for shover, sleep and breakfast. For this hotel was great. Beds comfortable overall nice and clean rooms. Had to ask couple of times for shower gel and toilet paper as not always automatically replenished by cleaner. Staff was great, always helpfull and polite. Breakfas t repetitive but for our 4 nigbt stay was more then enought. Also quite wide variety of food so no problem there. Really enjoyed our stay at Anadolu hotel. Well recommend to people who traveling to see Istsnbul not staying in the room.

Maibe just that shower gel hasn't been replenished when obviously empty or mostly used up. No shelf to put it in the shower either. Maybe shower gel and shampoo depositors on the wall in the shower would be better idea than those little bottles. Less plastic as well. The same for toilet roll. Would be good to have 1 in use and 1 spare.

We spent 6 nights at Anadolu Hotel in Istanbul at the end of September/early October 2023. The location (in the heart of Sultanahmet) was perfect for us, as we walked to all the sites we wished to see. The man who manages the hotel was pleasant & very helpful. Our Standard Twin Room was clean, small, and basic. No refrigerator. Good windows; you could hear the calls to prayer, but the sound was muted. We liked that the room did not have carpeting, and that the room received daily servicing. They offer a very pleasant buffet breakfast, with two dining areas. A couple of sweet cats. Nice view of Hagia Sofia from the roof. Location, breakfast, staff: We would stay here again.

The a/c in our room didn’t work very well, but the weather was cool enough for this not to bother us. The bathroom was small but adequate, however a shelf just above the sink made it difficult to use the sink.

My 75 year old Father was travelling alone and had a 4 days stay at hotel . My father have very little knowledge of Internet and smart phone so we were worried to get in contact with my father . Hotel arranged the Taxi and the hotel got in contact with us as soon they have received my Father . As soon he arrived at hotel, the hotel staff contact us via whatsapp and helped my father all the way . Communication with hotel was Brilliant . Hotel is only 5 minute walk from Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque . Thank You Anadolu Hotel .

The location was perfectly central but also a crucial step back from the mayhem. I have stayed on the south east side of the old city before, the Anadolu was a better choice this time. It was on the correct side of the mosques to easily jump on and off the tram to get to other popular areas. The staff were absolutely lovely - you cannot fault Turkish hospitality. The concierge gave me great advice for a Bosphorus river cruise, and helped me out with other questions, no problems. The property and room perfectly met my expectations for a no frills price. There was a pretty courtyard which I used every morning. The breakfast was not fancy but generous, again in line with my expectations. Actually, a bit above. Also - they have an outsourced Room Service feature, a QR code thing, which is kind of like an Uber eats, but for absolutely anything you can think of beyond just food, eg; hiring strollers, hair grooming tools, massages etc etc.

I didn’t not like anything. The TV is terrestrial, Turkish only. Not that I cared because I wasn’t watching tv.

Great budget hotel for anyone who wants to explore amazing city of Istanbul. Close to the main attractions (Hagia Sophia/Blue Mosque/Basilica Cistern - literally 5min by foot from the hotel, Topkapi Palace - 10min, Grand Bazaar - 15min), many different transportation options and shops/restaurants. The owners are super friendly, the rooms are cleaned every day, the breakfast is simple, but always fresh and sufficient, you can eat as much as you want. I sincerely recommend this hotel!

Wi-fi could be better ;) But you can always buy a Turkish SIM card with 10-20gb of internet transfer for 10-20Euro, and you have no problem at all, and what is more, you can take your SIM car with you and use google maps while sightseeing.

It was situated very close to most of historical sites. Just at a five minutes walk to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosqe. Though it was a small hotel but all the amenities are exceptionally good such as very neat and clean room and wash room ,nicely conditioned ,reasonably spaced and above all highly courteous and friendly staff. Ambiance and quality of Breakfast was reasonably good . Mr.Ismail (Manager) was excitedly cordial and helpful besides Miss Nuray, Ummu and Muhammad were all very courteous and awesomely helpful. I thank them all.

The hotel didn't have the restaurant.

Good service, good hygiene. Location nearby centre. Breakfast was basic but good. It is a breakfast buffet with bread, cheese, water Melon, sausage, cookies, tomatoes, coffee, tea, juice and a lot more. People working in the hotel are polite, know the area well and give good advice. They clean your room daily. Bathroom is clean.

Almost nothing except one thing. The hotel is located in the middle of a steep way. So if you have difficulty with walking it can be tough. On the other side it is just 10-15 meter walk then you are on a straighter way again. Family rooms are on the third floor. You have to take stairs. If you are healthy this is easy to do. But if you have health problems then can be tough. Then it is maybe better to take smaller rooms on lower floors.

very near to all the attractions. within 5mins walking to aya sofia, blue mosque and sultanahmet tram. variety of foods for breakfast. staff very friendly and accomodating whenever we need help. 24hrs service for check in.

i think the price they offer for airport taxi service is so expensive which is double from the usual price. i think the room a bit smaller but adequate. the price it’s more about the location of the hotel instead of the size of the room, so it’s a win win. still a bit cheaper than the other hotels around this area.!

Staff are excellent and so helpful, they always greet you with a smile and give good advice about places to visit with maps and instructions. Also they provide free tea and coffee and a variety of hot drinks all hours of the day. A great team of people that made our stay very special. Location is perfect as very close to all the main attractions like Aya Sofia and Blue Mosque.

Everything was actually great, but did find the WiFi was a little slow sometimes in the bedroom. Also the sink in the bathroom was quite small and the glass shelf just above it was in the way when trying to wash your face.

The Anadolu Hotel is exactly what you need if you are visiting Istanbul with the purpose to see as much as you can of this wonderful city without waisting time on public transport and to stay at a decent hotel reasonably priced. Almost all top attractions of Istanbul (such as the ancient Hippodrome of Constantine, the 6th-century Hagia Sophia and the 16th-century Süleymaniye Mosque) are within walking distance, the wonderful Gulhane park begins one block from the hotel. The hotel is a family business and when you arrive almost immediately you feel that they treat you as a good friend, always ready to help, to give advice. I am especially thankful to Talha (sorry if I misspell the name). On his advice I bought the best possible Turkish delight and baklava to treat my family on returning home :) As to my room, it was rather small. But if you travel a lot you know that rooms in a 3 star hotel in the very center of a big city are never big. What matters is that the room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, the WiFi worked perfectly well, the hot water in the shower was always there. Besides, the view from my window on Hagia Sophia was wonderful. I liked the breakfast they offered. It was varied and tasty.

Speaking about the things that could be improved I would mention the small shelf for toiletries in the shower cabin which is not stable and the glass shelf above the sink that is very low.
