The location was key to our stay. Everything was in walking distance. The residency was very cozy with a friendly staff. Our day concierge, Mustafa was very polite and greeted us with a smile whenever we would run into him before breakfast. He answered all our questions and made us feel extremely comfortable while staying at the residency. Breakfast had plenty to eat with a wide variety of things. What made it extra special was that they had a coffee machine that made espresso. Every bit of the staff at The sultan Tughra hotel was great and I would highly recommend this place for a future stay.

The staff was really good. I arrived quite late at night and he recommended me closest restaurant to have dinner. the window of my room was broken so I couldn't close it. the staff not only helped to try his best to fix that but also suggested changing the bed sheet by himself cause there were a bit things that fell to the bed during fixing the bed. although the window was not able to be fixed that late night, he even changed a better room for me after checking other customers. His service impressed me a lot. which was the best service I experienced during the whole travel.

Hotel staff was excellent! Welcome was easy & lovely. Night manager even went to the local store & bought us a bottle of wine (which was reimbursed to him) Day manager was very helpful with directions. Very quaint & basically clean. Stay was an adventure in a period facility!

Hotel looks a bit rundown in various areas; hall stairs carpeting was very worn, lightbulbs missing, windows would not open, rainwater left on upstairs landing making it very slippery. I had booked a Deluxe Room, but was given the Honeymoon Room that is located below ground, requested a move & was given the room I had reserved, but it was not ready til mid afternoon (not good). Breakfast was just OK.

The location of this hotel is perfect, and the staff is extremely friendly, and can help you with organizing excursions. They helped us book a night cruise which included transport from and back to the hotel, which was very nice and good value for money. The design of the hotel is also very nice.

The rooms are very small. They look bigger because of the mirrors, but in reality there is very little space. The breakfast was also pretty limited and it could be improved.

The position is very good, very close to the main points of interest (everything is at walking distance), but it's in a quiet alley, so it is also very quiet at night despite the restaurants and shops being close by. The staff is very polite and helpful. The room was comfortable!

The breakfast wasn't the best (it was ok, but nothing special), the shower was not well fixed so it was a bit uncomfortable to use it (it was pointing more towards the wall).

The hotel is in Sultanahmet district which is where Hagia Sofia, Blue mosque & Topcapi palace is. It is about 10-15 mins walk. It is in a quiet lane and yet very close to restaurants & shops. If you like the Ottoman style, ornate decor then you would certainly like the rooms. The staff is really nice and helpful. A special mention of Mustafa, Emre and Orhan!... They were all very sweet & helpful. The breakfast is decent.

There should be some drinking water in the room and tea/ coffee making facility. One has to go to the breakfast room to get some hot water.

Staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfast is tasty - excellent omelette! - and generous. Location is convenient walking distance to many major tourist sites and to local tram service. A few restaurants literally around the corner that are open late (nice when jet lag means hunger comes unexpectedly). Windows actually open for fresh air, which is wonderful.

Amazingly friendly staff and the hotel theme was inviting. They recommended a show on the river which we went with - of course it's for tourists and they are upselling but it was a great evening and very good value. They knew the answer to any question you cared to name. We were upgraded on the second day, as the hotel some rooms below ground level. However, both rooms were absolutely fine. Good Air conditioning and comfortable beds. Breakfast was pleasant with good choice and fresh eggs cooked as you like them. The location was great. Two minutes from the coast road and five minutes from the gardens of the Blue Mosque and Topkapi. The hotel is on a quiet street with a nice small restaurant directly opposite and a mini-market at the end. However, Turning right out of the hotel and walking around the block you will find a small bar to sit outside or just round from there a Terrace bar that seems lively in the evenings. All these are within one minute's walk. The Fish restaurant just to the left of the hotel does some lovely dishes and is worth a try too, so if you do not want to go into the really lively parts of Istanbul, then you can spend the entire evening almost within sight of the hotel. The area feels safe and whilst it is quite, is busy enough to be comfortable for anyone with such anxieties.

I think the tiles in both bathrooms would have benefitted from a deep clean - over time the grout has gone a little dark. However, they are not disgusting and it would not stop me staying there again! Some of the electricity points could do with refitting. Again nothing too bad and typical of similar hotels to be fair to them!

Outstanding place to stay in the city center of Istambul. Everything in short distance. From the beginning Mustafa and Orhan from Sultan Tughra Hotel has helped us to have pleasant moment, even my partner was a bit unwell but after airport pick-up that they've arranged nicely, warm welcome drink and also delicious red wine that they've complimented for us. For sure we will come back again. Great breakfast, and friendly server during the time was a plus!

The Hotel need restoration, more lights on the stairs, more flowers on the window. Just to make it more beautiful.
