Receptionists were kind , helpful and quick .

I did not like that the housekeeper knocked on the door in the morning at 9 am and stepped into the room to check whatever he wanted even when the “don’t disturb “ card hanged outside of the door . It was not’t after checking time , but much earlier . Why ?

Firstly, I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the entire Ibis team, especially the reception staff. They were exceptionally polite, helpful, and solution-oriented throughout our stay. The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, situated directly opposite the main train station, allowing easy access to the city center within 5-10 minutes by a single mode of transportation. We specifically chose Ibis for our stay, and upon reflection, we are delighted with our decision. The experience exceeded our expectations, and we can recommend it highly enough. Thank you once again for the outstanding service!

I travelled to Vienna with my 10 year old son, a weekend for just the two of us. My son is transport passionate, so we chose not to be right at the centre, so we can walk, use trams, underground and trains. The Belvedere Palace is a 5 min walk, and the tram line + underground is just outside of the hotel. There is a national rail train direct to the airport, and it takes 15 min to get to and from the airport. Transport-wise the place is very convenient. It takes 10 min to get to the historical centre of Vienna. Business centres with offices surround the hotel. We liked the hotel - good value for money, clean and modern, and the staff is friendly and helpful. If you are a European train traveller, Ibis is a great place to stay for the night or spend a few days seeing Vienna. Trains from the station go all over Europe.

As in every big city, the central station at night is not a good place to be, especially with children. But the hotel is not disturbed by this. We just walked through the business centre side, and it feels very safe there. We just stayed away from the central station late in the evening and took the tram.

Hotel location is great. Only five stations away from Vienna Central Station. Two stations away from Stephanplatz which is the centre of all attractions in Vienna. There is a metro station five minute walk from the hotel. There are at least two grocery stores close by as well as restaurants. Hotel is very clean. Room is small but very functional. Bed comfy. Bathroom is nice size but shower is small but water pressure is very good to have a nice hot shower. Room also has tv, coffee/tea maker, desk as well as closet. Breakfast is also good to start your day with hot food, cheeses, cereals, bread and pastries/cakes. Hot coffee/tea, cappuccino machine and juices are also available. I will definitely book Hotel Wien whenever I go back to Vienna. Highly recommended. One last thing...I was given a small box of Heindl chocolate upon check in. Thank you so much Hotel Wien. I had enjoyed my stay (Oct 23 - 27) and can't wait to go back.

Breakfast was very good and with enough options for everybody (Bonus: the asian corner!). The staff were friendly and helped us very well with our requests. The hotel is located just outside the central rail station, which is very good because you have plenty of connections for visiting the city by tram, buss or metro (or other Austrian cities, by train - we went to Graz in one of the days) as well. The location and the staff friendliness were the two main things for which I will totally recommend this hotel.

The hotel is at a strategic place, very close to the main train station as well as to the international buses’ station. It is in a high-house with about 10 floors. I had a view from several train platforms from my room, but it was well isolated and I was not disturbed at all. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The mattress was good. I liked the copious breakfast buffet with everything a traveller needs. The coffee was good and the staff very friendly. The Belvedere palaces are very close, just 5 minutes’ walk.

I was satisfied with everything.

Clean, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and easy check-in. Very close to train station. Walking distance to everything or easy tram access. The staff were really wonderful, they deserve 10/10

I prefer when rooms have a mini fridge. No extra pillow. I personally don't like pump soap for shower that all guests share. I think it's more hygienic to have little soaps and shampoo for each guest.

Almost everything. The staff I met were excellent. Willing, friendly, outgoing ,- good ambassadors for the hotel. The room provided everything I needed for a one-night stay and the area was quiet. The location is extremely convenient if you are using the Hauptbahnhof and it is very easy to get into the centre of the city. On all these grounds, I would recommend the hotel warmly. But ...

I could not get a stable internet connection with my laptop (Windows). I was told that this was a regular problem - that in this hotel it worked with mobiles but not with.laptops. I was disappointed and seriously inconvenienced by this. Unless Ibis.is able to fix this. I would advise anyone who may need to use a laptop while staying in Vienna to think carefully before booking here. In all other respects, I was very happy with what was provided. But this presented me with a problem and one that I have not experienced for a long time in a major hotel.

The location is awesome, you just cross the street and you are at the station, that makes it easy to get both to the airport and city center. There are very friendly staff who are always ready to help (from receptionists to cleaning staff). Also, there is a possibility to store luggage if you arrived before the check-in. The room is great: almost the same as in the photos, very clean and rather spacious. Although, the view (which is quite nice) is on the main station, there is no noise. The bathroom is clean with new towels and has good light. Internet connection is great as well.

I loved that it's strategically located, just across the street from the entrance to the Main Terminal Station for the metro. This was very beneficial since we also used the Vienna City Card where we had unlimited rides in the public transportation plus free/discounted entry to various tourist places. This coupled with Google maps, we were able to go to a lot of tourist sites. Some other tourist spots are also within walking distance from the hotel, like the Belvedere. I also loved their breakfast spread. Lots of variety - sausage and other meats, egg, breads, fruits and beverages. What I especially love is their do-it-yourself waffle maker. It was quite delicious.

The window arrangement? After checking-in our room in a higher floor, we noticed that the window in our room was slightly open (maybe to get air inside?), so we just closed it. The next day, after coming back to the hotel after a whole day of going to various tourist spots, we found our room cleaned but the window slight open again. We had to close it again because it was very cold. The same thing happened the next day, so maybe it was hotel policy? (Note: If so, this would be strange since this would be my third Eurotrip for the past 5 years and this did not happen in other hotels in other European countries where I've been to.)
