✨ LOCATION: Amazing. The walking distance from the hotel to all major tourist spots and visit-worthy places was less than 40-45 minutes (to the farther ones) and 5-10 were the closest ones. As an example, it took us about 20 minutes to get to the Sagrada Familia, and about 7 minutes to get to casa Batllo from the hotel. Aside from the restaurants inside the hotel, there are several bars, restaurants and coffee shops in the area. Vis-a-vis from the hotel we had a 24h shop that was really handy. ✨ TRANSPORTATION: Several bus stations are really close to the hotel and the nearest metro station was at a 5 minute distance (slow walking). Taxis had a station right beside the hotel and the reception was more than happy to call one for us whenever we needed it. ✨ FACILITIES: The pool was clean and towels were offered by the hotel. We received complimentary water every day which was really thoughtful given the temperatures. A detail that I found really nice, there was a big jug of lemon water in the reception to enjoy by all guests. What I really liked about the elevators was that you could get to the floors with rooms only if you had an access card, which made us feel very safe knowing that only people checked in the hotel were able to wander around the living area. ✨ ROOM: We got the cheapest room, it had a lot of space, with a really big bed, enough furniture to feel cozy and a really big bathroom. The AC was working properly and the views were stunning. The bathroom was split into 3 areas: the WC side (toilet + bidé), was separated by a glass door to allow privacy if anyone else needed to use the other side of the bathroom, the "bathing" side, with a bathtub and shower head and the sink space that had a lot of counter space to put all your bathroom belongings. A really nice detail was the high quality shampoo and shower gel attached to the bathtub, so we didn't need to bother bringing our own.

I think the only downside I could find was that the glass separating the bathtub from the sink was a bit small and when showering you would get water everywhere. Other than that, I have nothing else to "complain" about.

The location was perfect! Very central but in a quiet area. Elegant neighbourhood and beautiful building. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel was very easy to reach, and there were lots of taxis just outside. We were pleasantly surprised by the modern decoration inside the hotel.

Overall we had a very pleasant stay and we would go back to this hotel. However, there are a few things that should be improved: first, room street noise insulation: our room was facing the street (a very busy junction) and was very noisy so we asked to change for a quieter room, which was much nicer as we couldn’t hear the noise from the street anymore. Also, the timing of room cleaning surprised us: on several occasions, we came back at 4pm and the room still hadn’t been cleaned even though we had left early morning. Finally, the roof terrace exceeded our expectations (huge terrace with great views over the city), however the food menu at the bar was very limited and food was not good at all! They should really review the menu and offer simple but good dishes (incl. mixed salads).

The room was a great size, the beds were so comfortable and a great bathroom. The roof top pool area and bar is fabulous - the views are amazing! The cleaners came in every day, made the beds and changed the towels. Plus the coffee machine was a great extra. Location is great too - so close to all the main sites and public transport was great. We used the Aerobus from the airport, the Metro and the bus - all so easy and punctual.

This is a really great hotel. From the greeting on arrival to when we left I couldn't fault a single thing. It is incredibly clean, very quiet, great location, great staff, great room, great breakfast, everything. There are more expensive, more exclusive hotels in Barcelona but the value for money was exceptional and I would easily choose this hotel again and again. I don't give reviews lightly. This was exceptional for the money.

I have tried hard to think of anything that didn't meet expectations but nothing jumps out. If I really have to find a fault then the pool is possibly a bit smaller than it looked on photos but we still spent hours in there having a great time and the whole roof area is just lovely.

It is a hotel located in Eixample less than 10 minutes from Casa Batlló and Plaça de Catalunya. Near the hotel there are many options in restaurants and cafes, metro stations, supermarkets and a taxi rank right below the hotel. The hotel has 6 floors of rooms and on the 7th floor is the swimming pool and the hotel bar/restaurant. The pool is small with a constant depth of 90cm, but it's just what you need to cool off. There are sunbeds at the side of the pool (towards Bruc street) with nice views of Barcelona city and Tibidabo hill. The hotel's bar/restaurant is located on the side above the Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes and has plenty of options and great views of the city. The bed in our room was very comfortable and large, our room was fully equipped and there was plenty of space to store our bags. There was daily cleaning in the room. We will definitely stay there when we visit Barcelona again.

We did not like that in the pool area there was no one in charge from the hotel staff to supervise that the rules of the pool were followed. There were some families with their children, who had left them unsupervised in the pool, they were making a lot of noise, the children were diving into the pool while it was forbidden by the pool rules and throwing water at anyone in the pool. All the hotel customers were disturbed and left the pool, I was waiting for some remark from the hotel staff, but since nothing happened I had to make the remark to the parents of the children, as a result of which we couldn't relax in the pool.

Fantastic location. Great room and en-suite bathroom. Great roof terrace with bar and good choice of food in the restaurant. Small pool but did the job to cool down. There could have been more shaded areas on the roof terrace. Very exposed to the sun.

Some of the staff were not as helpful as they could have been. We booked many of our sightseeing trips at the hotel - more advice would be helpful. We booked Picasso museum tickets but no audio guide was included - we had to Queue up and pay for at the museum. We kept being asked for a discount card when out and about booking our own visits - the hotel had one for us but didn't explain this would get us money off at various sights. We bought tickets for the cable car at the hotel but it was not explained to us that the cable car takes you to the 1992 Olympic village. Had we known this we could have planned that day better. We stumbled across the Olympic pool and diving pool but ended up missing the rest as we had arrived too late.

The Gran Hotel Havana was absolutely amazing home for our getaway with my mother. Everything was clear, beautiful and perfect. People who work in hotel were very warm and friendly with a goof sense of humour. Location was exactly what we needed because we were in not the noisiest district in centre but we reached everything we wanted and it wasn’t far at all. But our holiday wouldn’t be so good if it wasn’t for the food and hands down breakfast at the hotel was ten out of ten, possibly the best we have had! Thank you and can’t wait to come back to Barcelona!

It’s hard to say what we didn’t like about hotel, when we liked everything.. but maybe the walls of rooms were too thin in some moments and we could here our neighbours.

Great location in the heart of the city, walking distance to many attractions. We got a basic room, which included a nice king size bed, spacious bathroom and additional space in the room. Breakfast was amazing, big buffet every morning with the usuals (bacon, eggs, potatoes, breads/pastries, yogurts, cereals) as well as a large selection of fruits, drinks, coffee/tea. They even had some nice bonus things like smoked salmon, mimosas etc. which made the breakfast superb. Staff was very friendly and helpful, room was cleaned/made up every day.

Unfortunately the pool was under construction when we went, so we could not use it.

The room had a nice view of the street with a verandah which is not possible to access though I guess for safety reasons. It had all the tea/coffee amenities. The bathroom had a bathtub which was very nice to relax into after walking the streets of Barcelona. The staff are very welcoming at reception and had no trouble conversing to us in English. The buffet breakfast was beautifully laid out, lots of choices from hot to cold dishes plus assorted drinks. We were a 9 min walk to Placa Catalunya where everybody seem to converge.

We found the air conditioning too warm so we tried to follow the instructions to lower the temp, when that failed we called reception, because it was late at night no one could come to fix it for us so they offered to upgrade us which was so nice but we didn’t want to repack our stuff. We said we’ll just wait till the next day when another staff member tried to look into changing it that night. But sure enough they lowered the temperature for us to our liking the next day.

From entering to leaving we had a wonderful stay There were 6 of us with 3 rooms, all were well presented, lovely and clean and each had an extremely big comfy bed. We couldn't fault our stay, the staff were all lovely and welcoming. Breakfast was brilliant, everything from cooked breakfast, meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurts, fruit, cakes and pastries. All dietary requirements were catered for. I need to mention Marcos who, on the first morning at breakfast came over to us and asked my daughter who is Gluten free if she wanted any bread and brought her 2 warm gluten free hot bread rolls. This happened every morning. The hotel is ideally situated, 10 minutes from Catalunya Square and around 15 minute walk from La Rambla.

Sadly the roof top terrace was shut for maintenance when we were there.
