The welcome at the check-in was very good. They remembered that I said I like whiskey during the check-in, and next day they left a note in my room said they could arrange a whiskey tasting for me at the bar. It was very thoughtful. Presentation and variety at breakfast was very good. We chose the hot items from the menu and they served them to our table. We took the cold from the open buffet ourselves. We had lunch at the Oriole restaurant. Presentation and taste were very good. Room cleaning was fine, we did not feel uneasy. The location is very central, we walked easly to most places.

Taxis cannot leave you at the entrance of the hotel after a certain time in the evening, because the road is closed. This was unpleasant.

Beautiful building and, in the main, friendly staff. Great breakfast. Dogs allowed for €50 per night, and are allowed to stay in the room unattended (with a notice on the door).

Checkout procedure was a shambles, which spoiled a very nice stay. When we tried to check out, a cruise ship had just arrived which had booked 40 rooms so there was a massive queue for check-in and we were told that we had to join the back of the queue. Having complained about this, once we eventually arrived at the front of the queue (with no one else behind us), they made us wait until all desks were free before checking us out which was extremely childish behaviour and a particular pity, given that everyone else had been lovely, as you would expect from a 5* hotel.

The staff was excellent, every single one of them and very professional. It was obvious that they wanted to make your stay enjoyable. In particular, Patricia, the young woman who gave us a tour of the hotel (it has a history and the tour shouldn't be missed) was most informative and friendly. The rooms were comfortable and very clean. We had a Queen room with a canal view. Breakfast was amazing, everything you could possibly want along with amazing service. Location was also very good. We could walk to the museums, shops, restaurants and the city center.

Nothing to complain about.

The room was very good and situated with a great canal view. The entire facility was well managed, clean and very comfortable. Central location made it even better.

The only (and this is a small thing) that was less favourable was that there were stairs in the room from the entry way down to the sleeping area. While this was not a big deal, we did find it a bit odd and it did make unpacking and packing suitcases a little more difficult (as in carrying suitcases up and down these few steps). It was not a "showstopper" however and excluding this everything else was great.

Location is center of town, everything is walking distance. it was very convenient. Receptionists are amazing. Especially Nikki is the best. Helping us so much. I loved their handmade welcome tea! I miss there.

Right next the hotel is smoking place.

Our visit was made for our wedding aniversary and we were made to feel special by all the staff we met on our visit. We stayed in a Junior Suite, which was very comfortable, nicely furnished and maintained We really enjoyed the breakfasts, and dining in the Bridges restaurant, there was a great choice of food and drink on the menu from which to enjoy. The hotel location was close to the centre of the city, so easy access to transport and the sights.

Our room faced the courtyard and it was a bit noisy with an event on the Friday night in the evening/night

An amazing hotel, the room was awesome, the bed was so comfy! My partner and I are considering purchasing it via their boutique, the breakfest was extremely good, lots of choices. The staff were excellent, always going above and beyond to help or meet your needs, I didn't have any diet restrictions but on 2-3 occasions I overheard staff bringing guests amended meals to such a high finish to ensure they had food. The location was really good, it's in the middle of everything, the train station was a 10 minute walk, what felt like the center of town/shops was also only 10 minutes away, a lot of the tourist pieces were close by and they offer bike rental if walking isn't your thing.

The room service choices for dinner could be a little bigger and on booking we thought from the picture provided the room would have both a shower and a bathtub, we sadly only had a shower but it was an amazing one, these two points are very picky of me.

And that they couldn't provide the same discount I received from my booking.com, so they ended up charing me a lot more for a room upgrade. I spent over 4,000 euro for 3 nights there and the least they could've done was given me a discount on a room upgrade.

The hotel was absolutely stunning! The staff were very friendly and always offering to help with anything needed, the travel was for my 21st birthday and I couldn’t have picked a better hotel, when I got to my room there was some gifts left for me from the hotel! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who is going to Amsterdam as it’s in such a good location being basically city centre. Will definitely be picking this hotel when I comeback to Amsterdam.

Staff were absolutely excellent. Nicky throughout made additional effort to ensure we had everything we needed and even arranged a gift for my pregnant wife, which was a special touch. The room was too hot, think there was a slight aircon fault and the manager at the time sorted the issue by moving us to another room (upgrade), which was very well handled. From start to finish, the best hotel stay I have had and would highly recommend to anyone wanting a luxury hotel stay.
