Nice view from room. A little noisy at times due to the proximity of the kids pool/ play area. Food was good, however my belief was that it was overpriced. Breakfast serving staff was excellent. Spa service was excellent. The East side access gate to the adult pool area was inoperable, not opening with room key, had to be proped open with a rock. Poolside service was excellent. Valet service was excellent.

Room & location of resort was nice however my belief is that it was overpriced. Food tasted good but overpriced. I didn't ask however I did not know where to find ice

We had a great stay at Laguna Cliffs, unfortunately it was only for one night since we were catching a ferry to Catalina Island the next morning. The rooms were clean and nicely appointed. we enjoyed the pool and the hot-tub and a beautiful breakfast in the morning in the restaurant downstairs. Very nice!

there’s a fee for everything. there is no self hotel parking other than on the public street. i don’t mind paying for parking but do mind having only 1 option to keep my vehicle on the hotel premisses.

Hotel is nothing short of beautiful, the location is outstanding even for Dana Point, CA. All hotel employees encountered were excellent in all matters, could not ask for a better service experience. A small issue came up when I was attempting to print my airline boarding pass for my flight home and I was not able to do so in the business center. I asked for assistance and received instant attention that resolved my issue quickly and properly. Please extend my thanks to the staff, especially the employees in the lobby and front desk, and all those serving breakfast. I would most definitely come back for another stay, and I am fully aware that the Marriott at Laguna Cliffs has many top notch competitors in the hotel business. Thanks for a great stay, Ray Moore

The price was a bit on the high side, and in that cost range I feel breakfast should have been included. However, I also fully understand the problems faced by the hotel & service industries due to the pandemic, inflation, and problems retaining service employees. These issues affect all other hotels, so it is just a general observation. Overall, an excellent stay at a beautiful location. Also please inform whoever hires and trains employees that they have done an excellent job! Ray Moore

Loved the location, the grounds, the view, the balcony in the room, the proximity to the beach and great food a short drive away..the kids amenities were fantastic..my three year old didn't want to leave.

The staff was cordial, professional and polite and helpful. They weren't friendly or welcoming...I think this is probably just the case when going to large brand chain hotel.

Fabulous location overlooking Dana Point harbor! Loved our stylish, super clean room with a patio and view of harbor and sounds of the seals barking. Comfy bed, updated furnishings/decor in bedroom and bathroom. Housekeeping/Valet/Bellman/Restaurant staff were all top notch. Grace at the Concierge desk was incredibly helpful by arranging transportation from Dana Point to LA for the next leg of our journey. Enjoyed hotel room service, hotel restaurant outdoor dining with harbor views, and quick breakfast carry-out option at the bar via abbreviated Starbucks selections. Free trolley that picks-up just minutes from hotel (Summer months) Will stay here again when in the area.

The rat trap near our patio—would recommend more landscaping around it to hide it. Outdoor dining area can get gusty winds which makes it difficult to eat outside with food on the plate literally blowing away.

at check-in two front desk staff were inefficient and rude, despite their attempts to remain professional. Check-in was very disorganized and 3 staff members were not well trained in dealing with 3rd party bookings and getting the room ready on time. They couldn't find the reservation initially but one superstar front desk staff stepped in (probably the manager), and she stood out in professionalism, friendliness and resourcefulness. Unfortunately, two under-trained front desk staff neutralized her hard work, and although location, property and staff in general were awesome, we're not sure if we'd like to return. no bathtub in bathroom, but shower was very nice.

Shower was amazing, but honestly thought it might have been a tub, for personal relaxation. View were nice, pool was Great, room was nice, thought it would have been a bit bigger. Breakfast was very Gooooooooood, those waiters were on the spot, very very friendly. Seriously made the morning Great. The greeters were Awesome, very very friendly. Thank you again for an awesome stay.

Honestly thought on google maps that your location was more secluded an farther west more, but still a great place, beautiful landscape.

Room matched our expectations, modern and clean with an outdoor space to hang out. The light from the hallway was a bit strong, but the room, bathroom, and bed were great! The staff is super family friendly and the hotel kids pool area is great for children of all ages!

We extended our stay and looks like the cleaning service didn't receive the message to clean our room. Additionally the menu at the pool and restaurant were practically the same. Would've liked a bit more variety

Food service, waitress, meals, and view from outdoor deck were excellent. Room was clean.

The room had no view and was over the pool with noise during day. The step-in tub needed to be updated. We could not get the wei-fi to work at first. The TV activation was hard to get started. I thought Lu should have been more friendly upon check-in. I stayed with you before for half the cost(before Covid) and had a great room with balcony and walk-in shower. I was expecting something similar.
