Right across the street from beautiful coastline, room with a kitchenette and an ocean view in a renovated mid century modern building. Classic mid century kidney shaped pool and nice toiletries! Walking distance to Starfish (10 out of 10) a fully stocked CVS and a Gelson’s that has a Peet’s coffee. Only downfall I would say is, that the gates don’t lock and as a solo traveler for work, I was concerned because it is a high traffic area but all was good. Also the coffee pacs sucked. I love a good pour over , but had to buy good coffee and a filter. Wah wah. Other than that such a great value!

No safe, gates are not secure and I brought that up with Celine.

The rooms were recently updated and very nice. Our room was a good size with a clean room. The pool was clean and comfortable. The walk to beach was just across the street. The Laguna trolly stop was right in front of the hotel and there are a couple decent restaurants, a grocery and drug store within walking distance.

Some of the fit and finish needed a little more work. The bathroom door would stick because the floor was uneven. The refrigerator door was hard to open and close because of where it was placed. The molding around the doors, etc, was a bit sloppy, not terminated correctly. I would normally overlook such things but for the cost of this facility, those details should be finished by management. The beach was close but down a lot of steps so it ends up being quite a hike. The room prices are quite high but that is the area the hotel is in. It is an updated old motel and some of that shows through the well thought out renovations.

Great location, across the road from one our favourite bits of Laguna; Treasure Island Park. From our room we could see the pool, then beyond that the Pacific! Pool was also nice, and it’s walking distance to Ruby’s Diner and a nice supermarket. It’s a couple miles from the busyness of downtown Laguna, but you can drive easily there or get the Laguna trolley.

Room could have use some curtains as a fair bit of light got through the blinds so bear that in mind if you’re a bit sensitive to the light. But far from putting us off staying again.

Loved being across from the beach, a quieter part of time compared to Downtown. Liked the size of the suite, the refrigerator and microwave. Liked that there were chairs and umbrellas to borrow, although we were not informed of this till the day we left. Loved that the trolley pickup was right in front of the property.

The tub had mold on the caulking, we were not told until check out that if we wanted cleaning in the room, we had to ask. The balcony was spacious but too hot to sit because there was no covering or umbrella. Definitely need to fix that. Would have loved to have been told about the availability of beach chairs and umbrellas to borrow at check in.

The hotel had a great location with easy parking. The room was clean and comfortable. Donna, at the Front Desk, was wonderful. Very cheerful, friendly, and offered great advice regarding restaurants, etc. She truly made you feel like she was happy that you were there.

Due to being directly on PCH, the road noise was a bit loud during the day. However, there was minimal noise at night so it was easy to get a good night sleep. I would suggest that some of the exterior areas get freshened up with new paint and a bit of fresh landscaping.

Location, location, and location. Clean pool that I could actually use multiple times. Parking spots. Fun looking full size refrigerator. Coffee dripper. Real ikea mugs and glasses and plates and bowls. Cool lightbulbs. Clean useful towels and blankets. Very comfortable bed. Clean shower. Scenery from the bathroom window.

No housekeeping service even with the ‘make room’ sign on. No hand soap. Not thoroughly cleaned kettle and bathroom wall. Wobbly closet rod not able to hold multiple jackets. Lack of convenient outlets. Loud door.

I loved that treasure island beach was such a short walking distance I don’t have to move my car. Also loved that it’s dog friendly definitely bringing my fur babies next time!

I didn’t like how they offered a refrigerator and did not provide my room with one. There was a lot of stuff that just needed fixing like the bathroom door handle and the fact the restroom window didn’t have a screen so if we opened it anything/one could have came through it.

The hotel is a little hidden gem. From the outside, you would never expect the property to be as big as it is. Still a boutique hotel, but the interior courtyard is really picturesque with various seating areas, a hammock, and a beautiful, heated pool. The walk to the beach is a bit of a hike - across the street and down a path, but it belongs to the Montage, which is a very high-end hotel; the property is beautiful. Each room also had a kitchenette (we rented 3 rooms), which was great - they had a full-size or mini fridge, sink, microwave & pour over coffee.

The photos did make it seem like it was on the beach (and it is a hike to get there), and in the summary I saw on the pool it didn't mention it was heated (so we had to go buy accommodations.) But overall couldn't be happier and will return.

Perfectly located boutique hotel. Rooms are spacious with lovely kitchenette’s and large fridge/freezer, the staff are incredibly helpful, free parking and across the road from a gorgeous beach. We loved that the hotel provides beach chairs and umbrellas as well as throws for chilly spring evenings spent outside on the outdoor seating in front of our room. We will be back!

Pacific Coast Highway is a busy road but the rooms are very well sound-proofed and when inside our room we did not hear traffic noise.

Very clean. The unit looked newly renovated and the bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again and I would recommend it to my family and friends.

I believe the owner needs to upgrade the electrical circuitry in the coffee/refrigerator/microwave area. When the microwave and coffee maker were on together, the powerstrip would trip. The refrigerator was also plugged into the same power strip.
