The charge for 1 nights parking was $40. I parked in a private lot across from the hotel and unfortunately got broken into.

The hotel lobby and staff were very nice and accommodating. They allowed very late check out on our last day and in general had a good stay! Location was nice to walk or easily uber, parking is expensive but we found a surface lot down the street for maybe $5 / day so we just did that instead but we are local and were able to research a bit.

Complaints would be no fridge in room, and the hours of the bar/restaurants. They did not open until about 4 or 5pm, and then closed pretty early (maybe 10pm at the latest). Those are the exact hours we would be out and about so we were not able to try out anything on property and totally would have for lunch or a nightcap if open at different hours.

Room ac did not work due to water cooler valves being lined up for heat, we did not notice until we returned from theater around 11 PM. Maintenance had to make changes to valves at main cooler and remove roof panel in room to change valve line up in ceiling. We did not have a comfortable room until around 2 AM. Staff was great, but someone should be checking these types of issues ahead of check-ins. Our room was not comfortable until around 2 AM very disappointing. I have stayed here on business several times in the past for weeks at a time with no issues.

I thought the rooms were beautiful and spacious. Beds were comfortable. The hotel had all the ammenities I was looking for (eg: bar, pool. gym). Staff were so polite and friendly, very accommodating. Location was great for what we were looking for as travellers.

The outside hotel bar/patio wasn't open as often as I would've liked (weird hours sometimes). And the indoor bar closed at 10pm, which was a little early.

Our reservation included breakfast which was great for my husband, but not enough options for vegetarians/vegans. Egg substitute was offered on the menu but the restaurant did not carry it. We had the Deluxe King room with the extra half bath (tub/sink) not sure why a toilet wasn't added there is a lot of space. Bed and bedding was super comfy and overall room was clean and extra large for 2 people on business I prefer this hotel over the Hyatt 2 blocks away.

Not enough vegetarian options offered as part of the included breakfast. Wifi was limited to number of computers, poor lighting in main bathroom.

The front desk was very responsive and polite. The bartender from the restaurant had good service. The beds were very neat, clean, and comfortable.

The bathroom was a little outdated and not the cleanest and there was dust in some parts of the room. I contacted the front desk and they had housekeeping come up and fix/clean the rooms.

The Whitehall has a great location and great staff. However, some parts of the hotel (for example our restroom) lacked maintenance. Our bathroom and our bedroom had scratches or marks on the wall / ceiling. The bathroom has areas where the walls were not as clean as they could be or the paint/wallpaper was messed up. I expected it to be way more proper due to the price of the stay.

Not maintained well

Lovely staff, amenities were great as well. Good food/drinks on site, neighborhood was accessible for walking and had a number of this within walking distance.

Wish the pool was a little cooler but it was also 100° out when I went so that's out of everyone hands

The property is located in a great area in downtown Houston. The lobby is very beautiful. The property manager was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and kind. The other staff members were the same as well and made sure to greet everyone with a smile. The bed was very comfortable and the room was heated prior to our arrival (30 degrees out) and I appreciated that. The room included a bathroom with a single shower and another room with a garden tub and sink/vanity. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

During our stay the elevators were extremely slow. it took several minutes to get up and down especially when others were checking out/in and going out/in. The rooms could’ve used a but of upgrading but no big deal. the bathroom was very small. Our shampoo, conditioner and bath soap were not refilled so we ran out in the middle of our stay. A few of the outlets didn’t work in the room.

1. The closeness to the highway so I could easily get places. 2. Better prices than many downtown hotels 3. I really liked that it was not a high rise. much more comfortable that way. 4. outdoor area for drinks and socializing 5. pet friendly!

I lifted the edge of the area rug to look for my key and it was a mess! There was a lot of dirt/sand, crumbs, dust, etc. The rest of the room was clean, but lifting the edge of the area rug made a bad impression on me. ugh.
