The comfort and serene of Riva Arun was splendid. The location overlooking the River and Wat Arun was exception. Its as good as the photo the website posted. A walking distance to Grand palace and many coffee and cafe spots around. I did my jog around the area and found a nice park near grand palace where the locals would do zumba and jog in as well. The stafc is very helpful. English speaking. Even gave us advise and some safety tips The room was clean and comfy

I didnt like.the MOST was the Television all.the channels are Thai Home TV shoppinhg channels. There is not even 1 channel where i can enjoy local variety shows and the much talked about Thai dramas which are getting alot of interest all over the world. There isnt any NETFLIX and Youtube on their smart TV too. Riva Arun should invest in hving at least these basic apps if they do not have the thai local channels like GMMTV for their customers. With its great location, great interiors and services that they offered, Riva Arun will definitely be up a notch with such television Channels for their customers.

The riverview rooms are fantastic. But not quiet like nearly every room in Bangkok. The breakfast on the roof top with city view is exceptional.

The windows are not preventing noise. The climatisation is not on modernst level ...

The view from our room was stunning. We requested deluxe room with view but despite that when we opened the door to room 305 the view was breathtaking and better than the website photos show. The hotel and our room was super stylish, modern, fresh & clean. The staff were very friendly, courteous and happy to help. The rooftop bar must have one of the best views in Bangkok but prices were reasonable. Location is very central with easy walk to Wat Pho and The Grand Palace and easy ferry ride to Wat Arun. We were greeted with complementary cold drink and hand washers. The check out time was 12 midday, which was fantastic. When we checked out we received a beautiful personalised hand-written post card, which was a lovely touch. We recommend this hotel

Amassing view off all the boats and ships on the river and also the temple opposite the hotel. Nice location in the old part of Bangkok. And a short distance to many tourist locations included Chinatown with all its gold shops 😊 The room was very nice and clean with a private jacuzzi on the balcony. Staff very friendly and the cocktails were amassing The farang food was to my surprise very good. I will must certain book this hotel for my next stay in Bangkok.

Nothing. It was perfect.

The location is fabulous, you can walk to many of BKKs great sites. The bed is super comfortable and the rooftop view is lovely. There is an MRT stop and a river ferry stops about 7 minutes' walk away. Both Wat Pho and Siam Museum (which is fabulous) are just a couple of minutes walk away.

The room is small and there is not much room for even average size luggage. Make sure you request a high floor to get a view, we booked months ahead but ended up on the first floor with a partial view. It's a bit quiet at night so if you like to eat later than 9pm you might like to be someone busier.

This was my first time travelling to Thailand and I am glad I made the choice to stay at Riva Arun in Bangkok. The heat was a huge shock for me after I landed, but I did not feel bothered by it during my stay in the hotel. Tobey and Pim did a wonderful job assisting me throughout my stay as I felt well welcomed and well informed. The amenieties in the room, the cold towels or lotus tea at the reception, the rooftop restaurant with a clear view to Wat Arun and the Chao Phraya river added so much value to my stay. I was happy that so many touristic spots were in walking distance, and otherwise I could hop on the boat or take the metro to reach out further. Thank you for having me!

The lightswitches in the room felt a bit confusing to me especially if I woke up in the middle of the night. Wifi coverage was a bit bad inside of my room.

We stayed here for our first few days in Thailand and were so glad to have been recommended this place! We were welcomed with tea and cold towels on arrival which were so gratefully received after a 12hr long trip to Bangkok. The rooms were neat and well thought out, with all amenities we needed and was clean on arrival and maintained throughout our stay. We dined in the restaurant for breakfast and dinner and found the food to be nice and staff were very friendly. The view from the rooftop area was wonderful. The hotel is close by the Chaopraya River and many temples, so you get a great view at night. It’s very easy to visit places on foot from this hotel and we were able to take a taxi or tuktuk if not. The hotel reception staff were very helpful in organising transport for us on the occasions we had trouble doing so ourselves. We can’t thank the stay enough for making our stay as comfortable and for their small but appreciated kind gestures. We would recommend this hotel to anyone and can’t wait to come back to visit.

There was no pool which would have been a welcome addition in the hot weather but I understand many Bangkok hotels do not have a pool either.

I loved the rooftop restaurant and view of Wat Arun. Spectacular. The food was delicious. Fried noodles were yummy each morning. The staff were very gracious and very kind. The location is excellent if you are visiting the major sights and temples of Bangkok.

The rooms are quite small and there were a few details that threw me off. My bedspread had a hole that they sewed shut which was noticeable. I'm happy they reused the bed covering, but it's probably time for a new one. The hotel is white so you can really see the darker areas on the walls and door frames which gave the hotel a bit of a dingy aspect but everything was SUPER clean. The shower was annoying because the floor wasn't sloped properly so water leaks over into the toilet area and the shower mat wasn't enough to stop the water.

Everything was really nice and the staff were excellent and always looking to take care of the customer. The staff were also very fluent in the English language so communication was no issue. The view from the rooftop bar and restaurant was great.

One small issue to note. Being able to make tea or coffee in the room was great, even having a room service option available was great to have, however there were no chairs or tables in our room which made these options all less practical.
