Holiday Inn Nottingham, an IHG Hotel

The room was fantastic for a family. Hotel was exceptionally clean. The staff were amazing and nothing was a problem. My two year old refused to come in without his balance bike. The staff said it was ok which saved some meltdowns. Breakfast was absolutely superb. Food was fresh and replenished well. Quiet location close enough to the city centre next to the River. A good range of places within a few minutes walking distance to grab food (Pizza Hut, Beefeater, Pub, McDonalds, Sainsburys). TV in room showed enough channels to keep everyone happy. Loved the room and how clean it was. Plenty of space and bathroom was spotless. I will definitely be back again to stay with my family.

The tea/coffee tray in the room could have been better stocked but that's minor considering all the pros.

Check in was smooth and welcoming. The first room was a twin and we had booked a double but this was easily changed and our room was very clean and comfortable with an exceptional shower. We ate in the restaurant all 3 nights and the service and food were very good. We also had breakfasts. There was a good select and the restaurant was very clean and the staff very attentive.

Check your details on check in better so get to the correct room 1st time. It was a bit to far from the town centre for my liking. My fault I expect for miss reading the info.

We like walking around and the hotel is adjacent to the Nottingham/ Beeston canal which is a direct link to the city. There are several bridges across that link to either the castle or shopping side of the city. If you are not into walking everywhere once in the city, they have a city loop bus service from which you can visit all the attractions that are on their tourist map. we visited all, with the exception of the Castle, unfortunately was closed when we stayed.

The hotel is modern and roomy enough that you don’t feel crowded and breakfast time we had no difficulty in getting a table at 8am, food was good and the place was kept tidy and warm. Good housekeeping all round. would use hotel again.

Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. Beds very comfortable Breakfast choice very good. Allowed to purchase a takeaway and eat in the restaurant with no complaints . When I spoke to reception about a problem caused by the room above ,they were very helpful. My wife woke on Sunday morning (5th April) and went for a shower When she entered the bathroom she slipped on the very wet bathroom floor and fell hard on her right knee,right elbow hit the sink unit and she landed on her right thigh. She was badly shaken and bruised. Your staff were very helpful and gave us another room to get ready to check out as your staff were trying to rectify the problem of the water leak coming from the room above. I have been promised a phone call from the manager tomorrow ( Monday 6th Jan ) to talk about the the problem and the arising issues

The location was good, access and parking was good for me , as a wheelchair user.

The room was quite small with far too much furniture in for it to classed as accessible and my wheelchair is tiny. I managed but it wasn't the best. They had clearly upgraded the wet room, which on first inspection looked great, however, due to the placement of the tiny sink, it made transfers onto the toilet quite awkward. The length of the shower seat was excessive and being only 5ft 2", it made showering difficult independently. I believe the room was set up for 1 person and there were not enough towels for two people, especially one with a disability.The bed was quite high and I doubt I would have been able to transfer on and off it alone, had my husband not been there and fairly firm.

Room was really nice, clean and modern. Beds were big and comfortable. Breakfast staff particularly helpful; took my order and brought food to me as I had my 4 month old.

Didn’t realise the check out time was 11am as no one told us on arrival so we got a stern call saying we’d need to pay extra and I think we should’ve had more notice or information about the actual check out time. Good service took a while to arrive too; I ordered deliveroo and my husband ordered from the kitchen and I got my food first.

room was more than I expected, clean, tidy every day, shower was a great size. The breakfast was great with a wide range of choices, the staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would have no problem in recommending a stay at this hotel, had a great time. It is situated in a great place not right in town and only 3 minutes from where our son lives.

Every staff member we encountered was very friendly and helpful and really made us feel welcome and comfortable. Whilst the location isn't the prettiest it is handy for places to eat and the walk into the town centre is very nice, going past the castle and Robin Hood statue. The breakfast had a good range of foods and was regularly topped up. Everywhere was clean, the housekeeping team were also very nice and clearly work hard

Overall this is a very nice hotel for the money. I would have liked more pillows available. The shower wasn't terribly powerful but adequate.

The room and the bathroom were clean. Beds were comfortable. The car park was big enough. The location was relatively good but if you need to visit city centre too much like us, not quite close. Shortly, it was a good choice for our 2 day Nottingham visit.

Maybe a small moving table could be good to put it between the beds when eating something. We ordered something but difficult to it them. We were a family of 4 but there was only one chair. We needed a small coffee table. Tip: There was a small round coffee table in our room at Holiday Inn Manchester:)

Location: close to the canal, castle, foodshop. Breakfast: vide range of food, English breakfast, fruits, salami, cheese etc. Dinner was a bit pricey but really delicious. Pillows are comfy.

There was hair in the shower at arrival and the kettle was dirty with water inside. Sleeping was tricky because it was very warm. We opened the window but outside was very noisy because our room was above the "engine" room. Even when we closed the window there was a "murmuring" noise all the time probably because of the heating. Double bed only good for 2 persons if they are proper skeletons. It is suitable for only one quest.
