Reception and quick check in and the room inside cozy as usual ,non smoking , clean bathroom and comfortable bed

I'm old school and over 65 yrs ,I didn't like being across the stairwell, but I overlooked it because it was only one night , and I wasn't going out to be back on wee hours ,it was just an overnight hotel stay and early morning check out after breakfast .oh please update the TV channels , !

Have you ever gone on a blind date and realized you made a mistake? Have you ever thought about walking out immediately? That’s how I felt when I walked into the Novel Hotel. I thought I had booked into the Novotel, so when the taxi pulled up I had to double check my booking. The lobby was small and irregular, the interior was such a through back to the 90s, and the opposite of everything I enjoy as a seasoned traveller and hotel designer. I thought about canceling my reservation, about asking to see the room before making a payment, but then I thought it’s just one night, let’s give it a try- and I am really glad I did! My room was high up and enjoys a much better view than most luxurious new hotels. The room has probably not been updated since the 90s, but it is well kept and clean, and the space layout is comfortable. It felt sustainable to be using a well loved room. And the bedding was exquisitely clean and silky. The staff were beyond polite, knew when to give me space and helpful without once asking for a positive review. It was hospitality delivered from the heart, and I loved it.

The bathroom could be updated with a walk in shower and glass screens, the squeezable shampoo dispensers are not very easy to use, perhaps especially so for people of limited physical ability.

Well equipped hotel in the city center, good accessibility from the airport,to the beach and bus station (to Dubai), many shops and restaurants nearby. Very good choice for breakfast with many options, three lifts in the hotel, swimming pool available, friendly staff at reception, price to service ratio very good.

As it is written in many reviews, in the bathroom there are prepared towels only for one person even if you are staying as a couple, I don´t understand why. Some of the furniture in the room is worn out - the armchair etc.

Great hotel for an affordable price. Location top notch, great options to commute (local bus stops nearby). Cozy and comfy room, clean sheets, personel always on top of their game, with any reasonable request completed within minutes. Good breakfast - plenty of options. all facilities as good as they can be. Swimming pool nice, gym as well. Good opening hours (gym 24/7)

The hotel despite the location and general view could use some refreshment, but overall nothing bad

Great value for money, brilliant housekeeping, very nice night club and bar, nice Chinese restaurant and location in easy reach of everything you need, staff always polite and attentive. Hotel does everything it says on the listing.

There are probably only two things I would improve on namely breakfast is OK but not WOW but then again it is cheap and rooms are now getting a little dated and need a refurb.

Pool and breakfast buffet is what brings me back

Definitely need new carpet and sofa chairs. And what's weird is housekeeping can actually open the room without permission. I asked for slippers when i checked in but it took so long to be delivered to my room. I decided to leave to get something to eat for dinner. When i came back the slipper was on the bed which i was not expecting. I was thinking they can just enter when we are not in the room. There should be communication between frontdesk and the housekeeping team not to open any room if they have not checked out yet. They kept knocking and knocking coz i locked the room from the inside. And i have already notified for a late check out an hour before the designated check out time.

a very nice place, the staff are nice and friendly! breakfast is good. there is a bus stop near by, with buses going to the louvre, the great mosque and the emirates palace.

Breakfast had a big variety to select from, and dinner was excellent. I liked the location, It has multiple bus stops nearby. but the buses are very slow in the city. Very polite staff we get a room upgrade.

We had room service every day, but they did not change the towels, and we had only one small towel and two bath towels. Maybe we were supposed to ask for a towel replacement, but we did not bother checking it.

The hotel offers an excellent breakfast experience. The wide variety of food choices and attentive staff make for a great start to the day. The hotel's central location is also a big plus. The rooms were cleaned every day. The staff was very friendly. Overall, It was a comfortable and convenient choice for our Abu Dhabi stay, with the standout breakfast being a major highlight.

The drawback was the inability to open the windows in my room.
