The room and parking were excellent, and the staff could not have been more helpful - both on reception and at breakfast. They couldn't do enough and it was most appreciated! The pool area is also great.

There were not enough clean plates, glasses or mugs available at breakfast. Also, coming out of a global pandemic, can we please cover the food (fruit, pastries, cheese etc.) for sanitary reasons and because in the heat and air conditioning it dries out very quickly. In this day and age we should be more conscious of transmission of viruses, and also of food wastage. I would have eaten more food if it hadn't been exposed, and if it hadn't been so dry. However, the omelette bar and fresh orange juice machine were both excellent!

I used to live in Abu Dhabi and was back for a quick visit, so I stayed at the Grand Mercure for two nights. The location is great, right in the center of Abu Dhabi's downtown and easy enough to walk places or grab a taxi. Parking is free and plentiful. I was super impressed with the size and comfort of my room relative to the price...what a great deal! Super clean, friendly staff, comfortable bed, and easy access to a city that is near and dear to my heart.

Everything was great...just a tip for those taking taxis around. Taxi drivers know this hotel as "Majlis", not "Grand Mercure". That info might be helpful if you're trying to find a way back to the hotel in the evening. :)

I recommend this hotel if you catch an early booking with a good price. It was very clean with daily room cleaning. The breakfast was good but the same options were available everyday so after 6-7 nights it feels that you have less options and no variety. Overall very satisfied with this hotel. If you are non smoker ask at the reception to give you a non smoking room. We were non smoking family but they give us a smoking room which had a cigarette odour smell in the room but we changed the room next day.

All was good but in our room you could hear at night the noise of the central ventilation system although in our room it was turned off. It did not bother me at night so i could sleep well but there was a permanent background noise.

Hotel exceeds the expectations! It is a great value for money. I arrived late at night and ... I was given an upgrade to my original booking at no extra cost. Personalised welcome message displayed on TVs made me felt welcome and looked after. Standards of accommodation were amazing. Very friendly and professional approach to client. I have not included meal in my booking and last day before departure run hungry to restaurant wondering if I can grab something to eat. Restaurant manager was very sensitive to my needs and asked me to take a sit and eat my breakfast delaying payment to later. Extremely helpful staff especially among men who never allowed me to carry heavy shopping or luggage. Definitely will be coming back and recommending stay to family and friends. unforgettable experience of hospitality and service at the highest level.

Mrs. Ilham at the reception was excellent. She is very intelligent and quick at solving issues. She is very polite, highly professional and makes a big positive contribution to this hotel. I had a booking at the hotel for a specific type of room. When I checked in, I found out that the hotel had completely sold out the room that I had booked ! Fortunately, the next day Mrs. Ilham came and fixed this unforgivable mistake. Thank you Mrs. Ilham.

The food quality at the hotel is low. The staff at the room service were very nice and professional but the quality of food needs a big improvement. Also, there were constant issues with the AC and washing machine. The hotel needs refurbishment urgently.

A special thank you to Ayman. I had to check out early in the morning before the start of the breakfast buffet. Ayman prepared a nice breakfast. He also helped me with the luggage during checkout. A really nice gentleman. Thank you as well to Ilham from the front office who is always trying to help.

This is a very nice hotel and the management needs to keep investing in and upgrading the facilities (plumbing, AC, fridge, wash machine,... ) so that everything is working at the time of check in. Also, the quality of the food needs to be improved. The breakfast buffet needs to be upgraded. The management of the hotel should go for the buffet breakfast at other 5 star hotels and offer the same variety and quality.

Excellent service at a very high level! Two staff members that I would like to highlight are "Akil" and "Badir." They are super professional and friendly. They helped arrange amazing attractions at a great price. The hotel and its staff exceeded my expectations, making my stay in Abu Dhabi unforgettable. Highly recommended for their exceptional hospitality and service!

In general a pleasant stay. The facilities are well maintained and the price is reasonable. Especially, there is a washing-dryer machine in the room, which is very convenient. It is also easy to reach most tourist attractions by bus or taxi from the hotel. The breakfast satisfied all basic needs, though not quite diverse.

For most time the room service was quick in sending what's requested. However, there was once the room service forgot sending the requested despite several calls to the reception desk. Dental kits and shaving kits are not user-friendly. There is only a small bag of toothpaste in a dental kit, which means you need to ask for dental kits each time you want to brush your teeth, which actually creates more waste. There is also no shaving cream but only a soap, which is not so convenient to use.

Absolutely lovely hotel, in the heart of the city center and close to everything. I was given a very spacious suite with all mod cons for a very convenient long or short stay. The room service is also quite good. The staff - from reception, to concierge, to cleaning crew are all exceptionally professional, friendly, warm, and very hospitable. Special thank-you to the reception desk for making my checkin/checkout a very smooth and seamless process. Definitely a hotel I would love to return to for all future travel to Abu Dhabi. It can’t get better than this. Highly recommended.

Our stay at the hotel exceeded all expectations. The attitude of the staff was at the highest level, and we really felt at home. Special thanks to the chef Rakesh and chef Prakash, whose efforts made our stay unforgettable. Their attention to detail and concern for my eating habits, including the preparation of gluten-free meals, exceeded all expectations. Thanks to their talent and caring attitude, every meal has become a real pleasure. Thank you so much for your professionalism and care! We were very pleasantly surprised by the attitude of the reception staff. The girl and I arrived together, and the hotel complimented us by upgrading the room category without increasing the cost. This gesture was especially pleasant and gave the rest even more positive emotions. I can't help but mention the work of the concierge team. These guys proved themselves to be true professionals who sincerely care about the guests. They did not try to impose expensive services, but on the contrary, offered options that turned out to be even cheaper than if we had organized everything ourselves. We ordered a transfer, solved issues with visiting various establishments — and you could always be sure that everything would be organized at the highest level, but at the same time it would be cheaper by 10-20 dollars. It was a really wonderful experience and we would love to return to this hotel again!

To be honest, it was difficult to find any negative aspects, because our stay was at the highest level. The only thing that could have improved the experience was perhaps a slightly more varied dinner menu, but this did not become a problem for us either, as the quality of the dishes was excellent. The hotel is clearly striving for the ideal, and these little things did not spoil our stay.
