A quintessential Northumberland farmhouse home B N B, in stunning countryside. The room was huge, yet comfortable with classical furniture and a beautiful period feel, with all the modern touches. Breakfast was the best I have experienced anywhere. It actually surpassed what we were offered when staying in London at Horse Guards, in terms of the variety on the cooked breakfast menu and on the self serve buffet, and in terms of how delicious and beautifully prepared it was. The breakfast / dining room is like a home set in an Agatha Christie book. The host and overall welcome is warm and friendly.

Wonderful spacious room with large comfortable beds and a garden view. Bathroom large and well stocked with shampoo etc. Friendly and helpful owner who supplied a fabulous breakfast with so much choice. The two evening meals we had were hot, tasty, promptly served and plenty on the plate. Nothing was too much trouble. Lovely house and gardens in a well situated quiet and beautiful part of the country. We would recommend Rockmoor House to friends and family and we hope to return there again.

Very little not to like. Only one very small grouse. Our room was above or close to the food preparation area and so could be a little noisy in the morning while breakfast was being prepared but as we were awake by that time anyway so it was never a serious problem

Carolyn was an excellent host, charming and attentive. The grounds and gardens of the house are open to visitors and we were made to feel at home in a house with large comfortable rooms. The decorations were excellent and the house and its contents are very interesting. Although an old house it was well furnished, warm, bright and spotlessly clean.

I couldn't fault the place at all. Unfortunately the house is situated in an area where internet reception is not good but that is no reflection on the house or Carolyn

Beautiful house and very nicely furnished It's in a secluded location so nice and quiet. Lovely breakfast and a comfortable bed.

Nothing really to dislike really. There was a lovely bath in our ensuite room but be warned, the design with central taps means you need to be cautious with the very hot water.

What a beautiful quaint B&B! The rooms were just amazing. When I stayed we had 3 rooms booked to attend a wedding near by. The breakfast was so enjoyable with everything you could imagine to eat. The rooms were spotless.

Everything, the owner was really accommodating, the b%b was spotlessly clean, grounds were stunning and was only less than 2 mile from doxford barns wedding venue. Breakfast all homemade , beautiful

There was nothing to dislike

All excellent. Brilliant having a fridge to keep the real milk for hot drinks in the room cold, and mini pots of jams at breakfast to avoid plastic waste. Spotlessly clean, very spacious, splendid breakfast, very comfortable.

Whilst it must be difficult making a living out of B&B, I did feel that the cost was rather a limiting factor - but there again, I am not renowned for spending money!

Beautiful grounds, everything was clean, facilities were plentiful, incredibly peaceful and the breakfast was superb!

There was nothing for us to dislike about this accomodation, the facilities or the staff, all was excellent

EVERYTHING. Our host was cheery and very personable. NOTHING was too much trouble. Breakfasts were super and tailored to everyone's individual tastes. Even the breakfast menu was extensive. We booked an evening meal for our last night and it was delicious. A full three courses from another extensive menu, all delivered, piping hot and what can we say about the portions.....WOW !!!! Our rooms were spacious and our bed was super comfortable. Anytime we consider staying in Northumberland, we WILL ensure we book Rock Moor House as our base well in advance.

Beautiful house in a fantastic location. The breakfast was amazing, everything is cooked to your liking. The staff are very friendly and polite. I would highly recommend staying at this B&B.
