Very nice helpful staff. The pub serves good food and drinks. Good decor, sympathetic to the old building whilst still having an up to date ambience. Very good breakfast. Walking distance to Alnwick Castle and the town has lovely architecture. Free 24 hour parking a short walk away.

It was early June but the Lodge was a bit cold for us as the temperature dropped sharply with clear night skies so would have been good to have at least a heated towel rail in the bathroom. The Lodge room accommodation is okay but a bit haphazard. Master room is in the attic, very creaky winding stairs down to the bathroom at night.

Loved location - centre of town next to Castle, handy for Supermarket (a few mins walk) & shops/cafes/restaurants/bars. Alnwick Gardens just a short 12 minute walk away. Lovely lodge - very modern but homely & comfortable Lovely comdy beds in both rooms. Lovely breakfast in The Dirty Bottles (I had the full breakfast & was fab!!). My husband also had the kippers and enjoyed them. The Dirty Bottles has a nice chilled out atmosphere and lovely decor. It is busy all day & night. Great if you can't be bothered going far for your dinner or/& a drink! We would definitely return. As a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 8 & 13 it was really handy having the extra space with the lounge & second bedroom compared to us all being squashed into a family room in a hotel. The price was fair for what you got since it included breakfast.

No on-site parking (but we were lucky enough to get a space in the longstay 24hr free carpark (Pottergate New Row) which is just a 2 minute walk from the lodge. Very creaky staircase going up to main bedroom - woke the kids up if you needed to go downstairs to use the bathroom during the night!! Because so close to The Dirty Bottles it was quite noisy at night when it closed with people going home talking/laughing etc but it didn't last very long so wasn't a big issue. A mini fridge would be good to keep drinks cold - not a huge deal for us on a 2 night break in April but in the summer for a longer period would be really beneficial. Coffee machine wasnt very good - would have preferred a Nespresso machine.

Great location for the centre of Alnwick and nearby public car park. Excellent facilities. Great breakfast served promptly. The staff were pleasant and helpful at all times. We stayed in the lodge apartment which was well appointed and comfortable and the heating was good. Overall a great experience and a great price for a one night stay.

We stayed in the self contained lodge. Which was great. However my knees are not good and it has 2 flights of stairs. The main bedroom is on the top floor and bathroom/toilet on the next floor down which could have been difficult. So we slept in the room with 2 single beds. Which was OK but not ideal The Dolce gusto coffee machine leaked water and did not heat properly. I mentioned it when be left. If we had stayed more than one night it may have been more of an issue.

The location was perfect. The photos are exactly as the lodge looks. Two flights of stairs. Lodge is over 3 floors from the entrance. Coffee tea water snacks on arrival. Shower pressure excellent. Very helpful staff. Food at Dirty Bottles was delicious. We had dinner and breakfast the next day. We loved our stay.

Second bedroom - both mattresses were very thin & uncomfortable to sleep on for an adult.

Money and effort have been expended in making this a well-appointed place to stay in Alnwick. Staff friendly and helpful. Good breakfast choices. Very central location but slighly off main thoroughfares so not noisy. Rooms comfortable, all linen and towels clean and fresh. Good shower, very easy to operate.

The only improvement I could suggest would be for a small 'worktop' fridge by the kettle station in the lounge so guests can keep some fresh milk, juice etc for occasional refreshment. UHT milk not to everyone's taste!

The breakfast was fantastic. Staff were friendly polite and helpful. The Lodge was a good space, but very squeaky floor boards throughout and drafty front door and windows - a little TLC needed in places. Master bedroom on top floor and twin room, bathroom and living room beneath on the first floor. Location fantastic for exploring Alnwick and the surrounding areas

Squeaky floors 🤣

The accommodation was wonderful, just as described in the literature. Having a lounge was great as we had two children with us who have reasonably early bedtimes so we could relax when they went to bed. The breakfast was superb with choices for everyone. We would highly recommend the Bottles Lodge and will be booking again for next year.

Brilliant location for accessing attractions, the apartment was warm and welcoming, well situated. Unfortunately the pub was having a refurb so we were not able to access until breakfast but it looked amazing and the breakfast was really well done

I thought it would be good to have a fridge in the apartment. I think that overall it was good but there were some small points that let it down, the cane toilet roll holder broken the cane towel rail not for for purpose in the bathroom. Some really quality products towels, bedding ornaments put together really well and some items that looked a little cheap

Spacious apartment, great location, good value for money and excellent breakfast. Public car park near property is free. Real bonus to have use of free passes for Alnwick Gardens

No on site parking can mean driving all around Alnwick if no spaces available at public car park nearest to accommodation

In the centre of Alnwick, convenient for all the shops, restaurants and attractions. Free long stay car park just a few minutes walk away, so parking no problem. Very nice breakfast provided at the restaurant next door.

A fridge would be really useful, especially having a living room with coffee facilities
