My wife and I were attending a wedding nearby. We were coming and going, and needed to eat and relax outside normal hours. We particularly liked the large bedroom with plenty of wardrobe space, and the "King size" bed. Breakfast was our favourite meal. The genuine helpfulness of all staff, from the front desk to housekeeping and fitness ensured a happy and relaxing stay.

Nothing is ever perfect, and there are always little things that are not to someone's liking. However, we observed the staff interaction with customers who had specific needs/ requests, and in every case their response showed flexibility, and a genuine willingness to put things right.

I liked that the tv's had google chromecast built in however it was a bit on and off. The room was very big and clean and the staff where friendly.

A few things I didn't like, the food was ok but selling a steak and some chips and three onion rings and a bit of garnish for £30 is a bit over the top, it was nice but definitely was not worth £30. The breakfast menu said hash browns but it was sliced potatoes that were cold every morning of my stay. There was no pancakes either (I didn't really care about those being missing as I'm not a huge fan).

The bed was extremely comfortable as too the pillows. We seemed to be in a quiet part of the hotel and had a peaceful night. The breakfast was superb with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly, we had an evening bite to eat which turned into a feast and the staff serving were very helpful and again lovely.

We had an adjoining door which freaked me out a little as I expected someone to come bursting in! We could hear the couple next door talking but it was at least only during waking hours.

Stayed here due to a course being run locally. Very friendly staff member on arrival, with quick check in and able to join IHG rewards before everything was processed. Large, comfortable room with nice bathroom - everything was very clean. Opted to eat in the restaurant because the weather wasn't great. It was expensive for what you get, but we both enjoyed our food and the service was really friendly. Definitely exceeded expectations.

I don't really have any criticism of this hotel for the price we paid.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Holiday Inn Aylesbury and I must say that I was very happy with my overall experience. The hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible. The room was spacious and squeaky clean, and the bed and sheets were incredibly cozy. What really stood out to me was the staff - they were great and extremely helpful. The wifi was also very quick, which was a bonus. All things considered, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

The refurbished rooms are lovely, spacious and the bed was really comfortable. The TV was huge and it was good to have two chairs and a little table to sit at. Breakfast was good and there's ample free parking. We will stay again for sure.

It would be good to see the pool get a full refurbishment in line with the rest of the hotel. We didn't use it when we saw there hadn't been any improvements made. The dining area was untidy at breakfast with mostly empty tables still cluttered with used cups and plates.

My room was lovely, very spacious with a lovely view of the garden. The bed was divine, so comfortable, with soft bedding. A very nice bathroom, the towels were a little worn but this wasn't really a problem as I would think due to the Covid regulations they had to be washed at high temperatures.

For me everything was fine. I have stayed at this hotel several times so if ther was a problem I wouldn't have returned.

The pool, gym and breakfast

We had to wait for our room for almost an hour after we had been travelling since early morning. We arrived at 2pm which was the stated time that we could have checked in. I think a complementary drink would have gone down well but this wasn't offered. At breakfast there wasn't enough cutlery or crockery. More staff would have helped. It was difficult to find a spoon or a bowl. I ate cereal from a plate!

The room was spacious with large bed. Both cooked and continental breakfasts were good. A swimming pool was available, but we didn't use it and there were some fitness classes.

I would have preferred a walk in shower rather than having to climb into a bath and I had to stand right over the plug hole to get a good shower. The bed was too firm for me, so I had to sleep on top of the duvet, but this is a personal choice and not everyone would feel the same.

Very clean room, comfy bed, nice pool + spa. Excellent breakfast. Plenty of free parking and good free wifi.

The doors to the rooms seemed a very poor fit as they had to be slammed to close properly. This meant that I got woken up several times early in the morning with other guests having to slam their doors closed. I understand the doors have to have fire seals, but a quick tweak would improve guests unwanted disturbance.
