Nice bedroom and staff but please tell your bar staff not to pour the drinks before they reach the table. I asked for no ice but my tomato juice was already poured over the ice and it was also a Big Tom which is too spicy for me. I then had a Frobisher fruit juice which was also about to be poured over the ice before the waitress stepped in.Annoyingly I was charged for the original juice which was poured away!

Found the menu overpriced with not a lot of choice particularly for a borderline vegetarian who doesn't like celeriac! We had a very nice meal for a cheaper price in a nearby pub. The breakfast was ok but the sourdough bread was far too chunky and hard for us. Oh for an ordinary slice of toast!

Comfortable room. Nice breakfast--Tea made using coffee maker was not hot enough...it was better when boiling water was added ? from the kitchen

?more hooks or hanging space on both sides of room--all storage and furniture was on window side of the room One light bulb was flickering throughout our stay -so we did not use the main lights ..had to just use the lamps. Staff were aware but unable to get it fixed as it was New Years Eve/New Years Day. Shower temperature seemed to wax and wane between very hot , then suddenly cold, then comfortable temperature again. This was not a problem for us but young children could have been upset--?? dangerous. Coffee maker does not really heat water to boiling to make a cup of tea-a small kettle would have been better for tea drinkers!

Loved this place - being so old it has some quirks like sloping floors and low doorways (which added to the charm). Our beautiful room was above the dining room and at first we thought the noise might be a problem, however we probably had the best sleep of our entire holiday. Outstanding food and atmosphere, and absolutely amazing staff. Nothing was too much trouble and every single staff member we dealt with was friendly, helpful and genuine. We stayed 3 nights, but wish we could have stayed longer.

Just keep doing what you're doing ... it works ... there is nothing I would change.

The Inn is a perfect location for exploring the village, such as the Roald Dahl muesum and Missenden Abbey, both not far away at all. The staff are so friendly, the food is excellent and it has a lovely cosy feel. It was very clean and really quaint. It wasn't noisy at all and offered food and drink.

My room (number 1) seemed to be above heating downstairs and so even though my heating wasn't on, the room got very warm and I felt uncomfortable sleeping with the windows open on my own, but it was so hot I had to. My father in room 5 said he didn't have this problem at all so I think it is just that room that must be above the heating. It was a cool June day.

There was a wide choice of breakfasts and lovely service, the evening meals were lovely and the Sunday lunch was also delicious. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. The location was easy walking distance from Great Missenden. The pub building was full of character.

There was nothing I did not like. The shower was odd as it alternated during the flow between hot and cold and I was not sure why, once you knew it alternated it was enjoyable but I did wonder why - was it to save energy? It was interesting .

Room was immaculate. No expense spared on the products in the room. Coffee machine was a nice touch and the toiletries that were provide were high end. Breakfast was stunning with fresh and high end ingredients used. One of the best breakfasts I’ve had actually and I’ve travelled a lot. Staff were amazing and really make you feel welcome. The lady who served my breakfast was so attentive and friendly. I was travelling for work and I will definitely be stopping here again. Thank you.

Can’t really fault a thing to be honest. The room door was a bit fiddly and due to how heavy it is it needs to be locked to keep it closed. The evening food looked amazing from what I saw but it is fine dining pub food. I would have liked to see a simple option or two for guests like myself who are travelling through for work and not interested in having fine dining. A lighter meal or snack. A freshly cooked pizza perhaps.

Lovely old pub that has been really nicely restored. Bedroom was big including the bathroom. Big tv and tea and coffee facilities in the room. Plenty of free parking on site. All the staff were amazingly friendly and attentive.

We couldn’t get wifi to work in our room. Wouldn’t usually bother us but the reason for our stay was to catch up with friends and family, so communication was a must. Member of staff did what she could but we ended up having to pop downstairs to the pub/ restaurant area to get wifi working.

Warm, clean, well-furnished room, very comfortable bed; bar and waiting staff friendly and helpful. Dinner was delicious and attractively presented. Breakfast was excellent.

I reported on checking out that when I tried to make a coffee in my room before breakfast, there was no kettle. No real problem , but the member of staff simply said, “Yes, it was broken a couple of days ago.” No apology. No explanation as to why it hadn’t been replaced. Left a bad taste in the mouth after an otherwise pleasant stay.

Our evening meals were excellent. Breakfast was also very good. The staff were friendly and efficient. Our room was comfortable. The was no kettle in our room (only a coffee maker) so if we had wanted a cup of tea we would have had to ask for a kettle. (There were only 2 tea bags in the caddy).

The bright green emergency exit light on the wall by the door kept us awake. This was reflected in the picture that was hanging on the wall by the window. In the end we hung one of our dressing gowns over the light...which we could still see through the dressing gown...so that was ok if there was an emergency. The pop-up plug in the basin does not work properly - so the water drains away even when the plug is pushed down. Some of the information in the booklet in the room is incorrect...such as 'Not requiring a code to access the internet' - which we did actually need. And the 'check-out time' was different to the actual check-out time.

Lovely historical pub with beautiful garden, tipi, staff and chef. Perfect for a weekend away and easy walking to Great Missenden. Comfy bed and wonderful breakfast. We had a lovely evening meal in the tipi and the staff were professional and friendly. Fab stay.

Room 4 where we stayed needs a bit of TLC. Door key was a faff and window catch is broken. Hanging and drawer space is limited. Coffee machine a bit hit and miss but might be user error!
