October 2023

Stayed here with my husband for 1 night on the 7th Oct 2023. Loved the atmosphere around the hotel, we arrived and were welcomed by a lovely receptionist who explained all to us and on the whole the staff were very helpful, especially Tristan who was in the bar and was friendly and approachable. Although the hotel is old it is very tastefully decorated. Our room was facing the visitors centre (Room 4) but it had no views unfortunately, it was a great size, clean and more than sufficient for a 1 night stay. The bathroom was adequate, only let down there is no separate shower just one over the bath, but the complimentary toiletries was a nice touch. Liked that breakfast was included in the price, it was excellent with plenty of choice on the menu. We also had a meal in the hotel restaurant on Saturday night and the service, quality of food and portion size were first class. There was a fantastic musician playing in the bar on Saturday night, although not too many people were in the bar in the evening to listen to him. This hotel is very busy throughout the day with bus loads of tourists arriving regularly to visit the Giants Causeway, then coming into the hotel to have a meal or a drink, but it does quieten down when the causeway visitors centre closes at 5pm. Added bonus guests get free parking and free entry into Giants Causeway visitors centre which was great.

Would have loved a room with a sea view, but as we were only there for 1 night, it wasn't a deal breaker.

Only good things to say about this hotel. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable. We were allowed to stay at the bar even after closing just to chat. The location was perfect, just a few meters away from the visitors centre of the Giant Causeway, with the bonus of the ticket being included in the price of the hotel. We had our walk to the Giant Causeway in the morning and got back to the hotel to get changes before checking out. The breakfast was also excellent. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this place.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

The location was right at Giants Causeway. Restaurant on location and others close. Room had a view of the water and terrace. Great to be able to watch sunsets.

It seemed as a high bathtub to climb into for using shower. Windows were very dirty. The hotel does not have a lift and it does provide a chairlift on one set of stairs. However, going to west end rooms you have to go up 2 steps, down 2 more then down more steps to get to your room. Not easy dragging your own bag or if anything hinders free movement.

Dinner was great, as always. Piping hot food served on hot plates, (which is rare these days). Good selection of food and drink. Staff are lovely and friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast, especially the selection of homemade breads. Delicious.

The hotel had a power cut earlier in the day that we weren't aware of so our room was very cold. No fault of the hotel and when we told the staff, they brought a heater up to the room so it was really warm when we returned from dinner. We also had a bed each (there were 3 of us, sisters) which was an unexpected added bonus. So really...nothing we didn't like!

what a charming hotel and so convenient for what we were doing there at the Giant's Causeway. What views! Service was excellent, food was good. And so great to have a space in their parking lot! It was funny to use a real key to get in and out of the room. Staff was so nice and looked after us.

The room was recently re-done which was nice. The tub however was a little high to step into and out of. The beds were a little hard for our taste but we slept well with the fresh air coming in the windows at night. Fresh sea air. No smog, pollution, etc. So nice.

The best location for the causeway as it’s just up the hill from the attraction, meaning you can go in early or later than the buses. The second room we were given was large and had a modern bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic- both the buffet choice, cooked breakfast, the service and the setting. Would highly recommend dinner at Bushmills Inn nearby. Staying at the hotel means you get free access to the visitors Centre next door- be sure to ask for the code and therefore save £15 per person!

We’d booked for a sea view and asked for a quiet room but the first room we were shown was tiny, next to the main stairs (noisy) and the window (which overlooked the car park with sea in the distance) couldn’t close. Luckily the friendly receptionist moved us to a bigger room in a quieter area of the hotel. The view was still mostly car park! The beds, linen and pillows were basic. No water provided in the room.

The location is unreal! Our room had a little patio too that would be lovely in the summer (it was nice to have in the winter too). One unexpected bonus that we didn't realize until we got there is that you get into the Giant's Causeway Visitor Centre for being guests at the hotel! The full Irish breakfast was delicious!

My partner ordered the pancakes for breakfast and it was much smaller than expected. They were good! Just not enough food compared to the full Irish. But that was the only tiny negative of the whole stay!

Great size room, comfi bed, clean, as I am celiac I need gluten free options for Breakfast, this wasnt an issue at all and was catered for by the staff/hotel, and also has an area for the bread/toast to be be made, the breakfast room is old fashioned but fits the hotel, we were looked after through out, and you get a free vistors pass to the giants causeway which was a pleasant suprize as my son loves this place, plenty for kids to get involved with too.

Everything was good ........Only minor thing, but its to be expected, the car park was a bit congested for residents but we managed to get a parking space helped by the outside parking staff........as the Giants causeway is next door there is loads of coaches about

Fabulous location in a stunning setting of the Giant's Causeway. The proximity to the cliff top walks was amazing. The room was comfortable, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. The food was delicious and we tried their new apple and cinnamon bread with breakfast which was so good. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. We were pleasantly surprised to have free entry to the Causeway Visitor's Centre included as an extra. We would definitely stay here again.

The dining room carpet looked as if it needed to be replaced or in need of some upkeep, but given the traffic through here in the middle of a busy summer season perhaps this is understandable.

Location, Room, Friendly staff

Breakfast bacon and sausages had obviously been cooked early and kept under a hot lamp so they were tough. Lack of staff in restaurant at dinner, and speed of service. Manager was also a bit condescending when my daughter asked.if the Brownie was Nut free, he basically told her off for not mentioning this when we ordered our main meal. I didn't challenge him then, was going to speak to him quietly later but there was a power cut in the area due to the storms and all the.lights went out. Also property should seriously consider changing the carpet on the ground floor to tiles or wood as it has become a bit worn and dirty!!
