Friendly welcome, good food, rooms spotless, breakfast fab

We booked a table for 7 for a carvery, even though it said the carvery was finished at 7, they assured us at reception it would be ok. We arrived down at 6.50 to be told the carvery was already finished and had been switched off and it was no longer an option. When we explained what we had been told they turned it back on while we chose our carvery. The guy on the till did an eye roll at the mention of reception telling us it would still be open until after 7. Other than that, we were happy enough with the stay, but feel that all staff should know kitchen closing times etc

Our dinner last night was the worst meal we've had in the lodge. It was very disappointing. We were to have dinner tonight for valentines night and cancelled it after last night experience. My strips of chicken were very dry I ordered salt chilli chips which was a plain chip with piece chilli on top , my chicken strips weren't even warm let done hot , sauce was such a drizzle plus chicken was tastless , my husband got ribs , chicken fillet the ribs were dried out and obviously cooked earlier and reheated no sauce offered. Really disappointed as we wanted to have valentines dinner here tonight but opted for a different hotel instead .

The staff were very attentive and offered me a quiet room right away. The breakfast was exceptional using high quality ingredients with a wide selection of offerings including fruit, yogurt and I think overnight oats which really impressed me. You could select also from the hot buffet and my son was very happy. It was the best breakfast I had ever had, compliments must go to the chef. The staff were very welcoming, the beds were comfortable, the rooms large and extremely clean. I would recommend using a hotel over other accommodation types as they are so professional and it was better value for money. There was even a voucher for the local gym. I was a female on her own and I felt very safe and secure and was happy to venture down at night to have a walk in the garden and to get a coffee so it was very sociable. I must also recommend the decor which was very pleasing to the eye.

On arriving at the hotel the surroundings looked clean and welcoming with plenty of parking. The staff were polite and very helpful. The suite itself was quite large, clean and well decorated with nice furniture and bedding. The room was well equipped with a fridge, water, coffee pod machine, tea and biscuits. The large shower room was well appointed and very clean. Breakfast was exceptional every morning with as much as anyone could eat and the staff very attentive. The dinner menu had a nice choice of food with the sirloin steak tender, delicious and cooked to perfection.

Could not find anything to dislike.

Staff at the desk was wonderful and the serving staff in the restaurant were fantastic. Room was spacious; In the annex so we wouldn't have to lug our big suitcases up stairs. However, it was clearly a wing meant for people with accessibility problems.

Restaurant - servers were great, prices were good, but the food was mediocre. Breakfast was the opposite - good food but hard to get a server's attention.

Friendly staff. Very good breakfast. Roomy lounge & bar. All areas decorated very attractively & clean. Large free car park. The Hotel is located close to the town, a supermarket & in easy reach of some of Northern Irelands’ main tourist attractions.

Although the lounge & bar areas were well decorated & modern, our bedroom accommodation needed upgrading. The bathroom had no separate shower cubicle. There was a shower over the bath with shower curtain. There was also a very primitive lift system from the ground floor to the upper level.

This hotel is very welcoming, bright and clean, all staff friendly and polite not on of them passed us by without saying hello. Food tasty and service excellent, cant fault breakfast so many choices and again service from staff top class. Rooms big, clean and shower had good pressure. Handy place to stay situated off a ring road but we never heard traffic at night, its close to surrounding portrush and other places at the north coast, we will be back hopefully soon.

Couldn't fault it in any way

Check in was great. Very straightforward. Room was big very clean and the beds were so comfortable. Very good nights sleep. Very quiet that night. We had our meal there that night and it was the best steak we've had in a long time!! Breakfast was lush and plenty of choice it was on till half 10

It's not that I didn't like it but you are right next to the roundabout on the dual carrageway. When your in the room you couldn't hear the traffic but the room 2as warm n when we opened the window that n8ght it was noisy. It didn't bother us at all and wouldn't put me off staying again

The hotel was beautifully decorated, comfortable and clean. Staff were so pleasant & helpful letting us check in after a wedding (later than usual check in) and ensured we were able to get a taxi on check out the next day. The breakfast included in our stay was beautiful, everything was fresh and hot which isn't always the case...... Fantastic value for money, would definitely recommend and would stay again!!

Super hotel in a great location. Comfortable bedroom with ensuite bathroom. Plenty of towels but limited toiletries. Breakfast which was included was very good, plenty of choice. We used the restaurant in the hotel both nights for dinner as it was absolutely fabulous! Choice of drinks in the bar was excellent too. All staff were friendly and helpful too. We shall return.

Really only nit picking but the limited toiletries in the bathroom irked me. Only bars of hand soap and a shower cream dispenser supplied.
