This is a beautiful house, with gorgeous grounds, room is clean with very comfortable beds!, ive never met a better host than Martin ever before, he made us feel so welcome, so much so so that we stayed another night and we surely be back again, for breakfast he made us a suoer fry up with delicious good food produce, if you don't like fry and you was still hungry there is so much choice, fresh strawberries, raspberry and blueberries with live yoghurt, all cereals, fresh orange juice, apple and tropical juice, we recommend this place to anyone!!! What a host, making sure we had tea and coffee and biscuits every time we walked back through the door.

Everything

Fantastic breakfast - fruit, cereals, yoghurts, coffee, juices, cooked...what a selection of everything! It was also delicious. The room was really nice, as was the house in general, and everything was spotless. Great location (with a car), it feels quite remote but is a short drive from many of the really nice walks and towns/villages along the coast. 15 min to Giants Causeway - go early and beat the crowds! Martin was a really nice host, and gave us a great tip on sunset-viewing. Thanks for everything.

Clean and comfortable! In a good location to get into town. Martin really goes out of his way to make sure you have everything you need. He cooks a great breakfast! So many non- cooked breakfast options as well! He even ‘rescued’ us and drove out to pick us up when a cab stranded us downtown at 10pm at night! He is very kind and works so hard!

Martin was a great host; friendly and helpful with local recommendations. The house is located a short distance to so many things to do and see in the area. The room was large, clean and quiet. Breakfast had so many options to choose from. We had read the great reviews, and once you meet Martin, you see why. Highly recommend Maghernahar House!

Martin was a fantastic host. We felt at home from the moment we arrived and he made us a cup of tea! The room was great with an amazing bath in the separate bathroom. Huge range of choice for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay.

It’s not in Ballycastle so you need a car to get there but that didn’t bother us and it was nice and quiet.

Host was very friendly and generous with chocolates at entrance and in room. He went out of his way to accommodate us with an early breakfast. We were comfortable.

I found the dark bed linen off-putting and the towels on the skimpy side. wi-fi was not strong enough to reach the bedroom all the time. We used the downstairs dining room for wi-fi.

Martin was an excellent host. He responded quickly to each communication I sent to him and provided great knowledge of local spots to visit in the surrounding area. The room and bathroom were big and spacious. The location was quiet and peaceful. The breakfast was perfect. Will be staying again the next time I am up.

Perfect location - close to all major attractions in the area (10 mins drive or so away). Host was exceptional and took an interest in our plans offering suggestions. Choice of cereals at breakfast was amazing! Loved the fresh strawberries and blueberries. Room had all we needed.

Great stay at Martin's! Great host, nice spotlessly clean house, beautiful area (only thing to note, you need a car to get there). Bonus suggestion: get the ferry to Rathlin island (departing from Ballycastle) to see wild birds, including puffins, seals, and (if you are very lucky) the mythical golden hare.

Martin and Michelle were incredibly hospitable and made our stay excellent! I have celiac disease and was thrilled at the gluten-free options available for breakfast, including the hot options. The blackout curtains were so good that we overslept by 2 hours, but despite being extremely late for breakfast Martin made us feel comfortable and at home and provided us with everything we could need.
