We were very impressed with the hotel. We were greeted by the most lovely receptionist who continued to be helpful and friendly throughout our stay. The staff in general were excellent. Our room was very comfortable, clean and well appointed. The food in the restaurant was excellent and great value for money. We'll be back!

The only small issue was the toilet light coming on automatically in the bathroom, and lighting up the whole room during the night! The hotel is a little bit out from the town but its a beautiful walk, so not too much of an issue.

Lovely hotel Staff superb, cannot do enough for guests Special mention to ‘Ryan’ the barman, what a cracking fella he is & fantastic at his job!! Shannon on reception, great girl & always smiley! Hotel very clean comfy & welcoming, food delicious, fresh pizza deal was amazing, breakfast perfect! Room Spotless, large, comfortable & warm, bathroom beautiful but had an issue with pipes from above so a tad noisy & smelly at times, this is getting sorted however. All in all, we had a great stay, would recommend & stay again in a heartbeat. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Our view wasn’t great but not a massive problem & bathroom issue but again no big deal.

Everything. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The food was delicious. The room was absolutely amazing with views of the golf course. The bed was super comfortable. It was spotless. We wouldn't hesitate to return, in fact, I have already been looking to see when we're free again to have another night's stay at Golflinks. Only problem is, when we do return, it will have to be the Deluxe Double with that big floor to ceiling window. Simply stunning.

The only one thing that I would have loved to be different, was having a wee fridge in the room, apart from that, everything was perfect.

Hotel was excellent

Food was a let down. Ordered duck and it was inedible and dry. Appeared to have been deep fried. we did state this to restaurant manager. Never ate this and returned uneaten. Informed lady manager in restaurant and she was apologetic, or appeared to. Said she would discount, however she only took off the 20% discount that everyone got for early eating before 6pm. In other words, we were treated like a fool. Ate elsewhere the following nights.

This was a very last minute decision to stop in here on our travels around the coast as we hadn’t booked a place. Booked an hour before arriving. Everything was so modern and absolutely lovely from the off. Room was extremely clean. Food was fantastic and such great prices. All staff very friendly and welcoming. I didn’t catch the bar man’s name but he gave us a little tour of the entire property, showing us Kelly’s bar and the barn in which the Xmas markets are held this year. Fantastic little spot. I will be back in the near future.

We stayed in Rm16. It was a gorgeous room with floor to ceiling windows facing onto the golf course opposite. The breakfast was delicious and only £10. We ate from Kelly’s Takeaway in the early evening where you’re allowed to order food & eat it in the library bar. One of the barmen very kindly dropped us down to the Harbour Gin bar in the evening time. We returned to the Deerstalker where there was live music playing (Double Trouble). Overall we had a lovely time! All of the staff were so friendly and the location was great.

Only a very minor issue but there were no shower caps provided with the toiletries in the bathroom. And the nightclub is currently closed which I think should be updated on the website until the new venue reopens.

Nice hotel friendly staff walking distance if where I wanted to be

Arrived at 14 30 got told to come back as check in not until 15.00 just had a 5 hour motorcycle ride. I wasn't even asked if I would like to sit and wait at the lobby or bar. Got no information of the hotel when eventually checked in. What time does food stop, what time breakfast is from and to. Didn't even know there was a second bar. Didn't know where the night club was. Had a did not disturb sign left on the door when I was gone for the day house keeping entered the room and dressed the bed. Friendly staff don't get me wrong just not that fourth coming.

The room was small. No 6 . But immaculate. Nick fixed the light switch coming off the wall!! You couldn’t open the wardrobe door without hitting the bed. We had stayed a few weeks before after the Atlantic was overbooked and we were asked to move to the Golf Links. We stayed in a room on the second floor. It was a lovely size and had a table with chairs. I would like the choice of staying in a bigger room.

The hotel is beautifully decorated. So much better than I expected. Rooms are very modern - the fancy bathroom mirror and the shower is amazing. Bed is comfortable. Location very good. Though would need a car if have walking difficulties. Staff are very pleasant. Food, can only comment on breakfast but it was very tasty.

In the rooms. The fancy bathroom light sensor (how do you turn this off completely). With the frosted door and partner gets up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. Then half asleep you open an eye and have a brief thought; "is this the end is the tunnel of light calling me". Then it wakes you up. The noise from the fans outside was a bit frustrating also, not sure if air con or refrigeration but pretty noisy, my parents didn't get much sleep with both of these. I and my husband managed. Also just a suggestion. If breakfast is served til 10am maybe suggest the last sitting is 9.45am as felt very rushed to order, eat up and get moving.
