Handy location sub-10 mins walk to the town centre and not much further to the train station. Nice canal walks nearby and lots of shops/restaurants within walking distance but not close enough for it to be noisy.

The only criticism was that the pillows were far too firm/thin for me. I know that’s personal preference but just to feed back it would’ve been nice to have one firm and one soft for choice as two were supplied on each bed anyway. Otherwise everything was great.

Amazing breakfasts cooked by the wonderful hosts got me off to a fantastic start each morning. Free parking was a great addition for us. The hosts were very welcoming. I had to do remote work the day we checked out and they extended my check out as late as they could so I could work from my room but then generously let me l stay in their dining area to do work all day, no extra cost.

We stayed in the Annex, by the exterior door, which got a little loud when lots of guests were passing in and out to their rooms.

I was greeted at the door and made to feel very welcome. The room was lovely and quiet facing the back of the property. We had a twin room which was clean and tidy, well presented with everything we needed. Our breakfast was cooked fresh and was amazing, really set us up for the day. The fact that the hotel had plenty of parking for all the guests was great and had charging for EV’s

Our visit was perfect for our purposes. We received a friendly, open welcome from Ayman, who was able to provide all the information we required for our stay. We were very satisfied with our warm comfortable room with large bathroom (en-suite) and very comfortable bed. The general appearance of the property was bright and very well kept. The property is in a perfect location for access to Banbury itself (as it is within walking distance of the town centre) and all routes south. We did not sample breakfast as we were visiting friends in the town but we are sure, from the general standard at Ashley Guest house that breakfast would be of the same standard as the rest of the property - super. Can recommend Ashley for both short and long term stays in this area.

At the time of our stay and on reflection, there is little that can be improved on when compared to similar properties in the area, a few of which we have also stayed in.

The host, Aymar (if I remember correctly - apologies if not!), was very friendly. The room and whole premises were clean and the bed was very comfortable. Had to leave early, so couldn't try the breakfast. If it was anything like the meticulousness of the bedroom and en suite, I'd wager it was pretty good.

Great breakfast, very welcoming and accommodating hosts, allowed to check in earlier, if it wasn't possible they would have let me leave the car there and come back later to check in. I didn't hear other guests which was a concern with a room near the front door, but other rooms have separate entrance. Close to main shops.

Super clean, very well equipped room, warm and cosy. Huge bed! Friendly staff and easy check in and was very close to where I was working. Also short walk into the town centre

The entrance gate is a little tricky as it’s right on a junction but it’s still manageable . Pillows were a little on the firm side for me but that’s personal preference!

Nice and clean room, well equipped and with comfortable bed. The location is very good and the place is easy to reach. The breakfast was hearty and very tasty, with nice verity of cereals, jams, juices, a very good omelette and even small cakes. Parking is spacious and easy to get in and out and most important helpful and attentive hosts.

It took us a while to understand how the shower works and the pressure was a bit low. We couldn't get the heating on and it got quite cold in the evening but there were additional blankets in the cupboard that served us well.

The guest house is wonderfully clean, light and airy. The bed and pillows comfortable and the bathroom spacious: Room 3. The breakfast was delicious. Ample free parking, even though the entrance in slap bang in the middle of a traffic light junction!

There was confusion about whether breakfast had been included in the price I paid through Booking.com as I was greeted by the owner with the news that breakfast was not included. I was a bit taken aback by this as I had my original booking email confirmation stating it was and another email sent to me the day I was due to arrive through Booking.com from Ashlea Guest House saying breakfast was included. Booking.com were not very helpful in this matter as the customer support employee said that her system showed breakfast was not included. That completely contradicted what I had been sent. So obviously their system requires improving.

My wife & I have stayed in quite a few guest / B&Bs over the years but Ashlea Guest House was awesome & far more better than all the others put together.Amman & Julie made us felt like they know us for years & we are looking forward to back to Ashlea Guest House for Christmas 🎄 market in Banbury market square awesome 😎 place
