Beautiful room, lovely, friendly staff. Bathroom was perfectly fine for us, albeit a little small, but definitely not a negative like so many reviews on here. Lots of choice of tea and coffee in the room. Loved the offer of a Dyson hairdryer! Breakfast was a work of art, but we felt awful leaving most of it - I could only manage half a bowl of the porridge and a slice of sourdough toast with the baked egg so it was a very expensive experience at £20 a head and quite wasteful. Absolutely delicious though.

The room smelt of drains on the first night but it wore off the next day. The people next door watched TV late into the night both nights - we couldn't decide whether the walls were thin or they had the volume turned up very high!

An beautiful hidden gem, with incredible staff - Charlie was incredibly thoughtful, kind, & helpful even when we rocked up super late into the evening. The decoration is absolutely insane! As this was a completely unplanned, last minute stay we were totally unprepared for what we’d booked ourselves in for but my god did we love stumbling across this place. We’ll be back to stay as quickly as we can, as this was a total and utter treat for the senses!!

The hosts were extremely friendly , we arrived late at night and Alex the owner greeted us & Showed us around , he very kindly allowed us to use the newly fitted out film room, which was so cosy with a oversized sofa and state of the art TV. Their collections of art work, sculptures and film artefacts are incredible especially if you know your films! . Our room had been newly decorated and have a very comfortable king size bed with super comfy pillows . Breakfast was worth waking up to even though we couldn’t manage to eat it all . The attention to detail from the owners is amazing and we will definitely be returning in the future.

What a fabulous find! Staff are really friendly, knowledgeable and extremely attentive. Our room was gorgeous, bed was one of the most comfortable I've slept in. Lots of nice little touches like trinket trays for your jewellery, a beautifully scented diffuser and temple spa toiletries in the bathroom. Food in the restaurant was absolutely delicious, amazing flavours and very different, I tried food I'd never had before. The decor was fabulous; you could tell a lot of time and energy had gone into reinvigorating the hotel. Loved all the original film props and artwork displayed, made for an interesting stay. The sculpture gardens in the grounds looked really quirky, we didn't get a chance to walk around them unfortunately due to time. However, we plan to come back and see them on our next visit. Over all just a fantastic place to relax and unwind ☺️

Fabulous chefs produced 7 course taster evening meal and wonderful again chef prepared breakfast, amazing flavours and absolutely coordinated and balanced tasty servings over a large number of locally sourced products. Service was friendly and knowledgeable and professional throughout our stay. We felt everything was made to happen very specially just for us, a wonderful experience and a culinary delight.

Only small issue was that the shower in one room was not great, and this was advised very nicely by way of a very well written note on the ongoing improvements on the property .

The breakfast was good and unusual, sausages,bacon and roasted tomatoes on basil were exceptional as were some of the other locally sourced items. Our room was large and comfortable. There are a number of themed public spaces in the hotel containing all manner of interesting items not usually found in hotels

There was a lot of items available on the breakfest menu, it would be advisable to ask quests what they would like off the menu and request the items in the order they would like them.

Superb team, super helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The fun that the team have had designing the place is evident in every room. The dinner at Canvas was one of the best restaurant meals I have had in years. Utterly superb.

Why have cheap faux bowler hats when you could buy a couple cheaply as vintage and have nice ones?

Broomhill Estate is an amazing unique experience. The setting is within 103 acres of forest, and includes a 10 acres sculpture park. They are proud and dedicated to growing much of their own food for their dining room, and committed to increasing their farm along with their off grid environmental capacity. An excellent place to retreat to, and also to remote work from with optic fibre WiFi. The rooms are newly and highly creatively renovated check out the photos! .The staff and management are lovely and very helpful. Very enjoyable stay, which I am extending.

What a wonderful place to escape the world. I stayed in Betty Blue and I have never been in such a comfortable bed. I felt so at home and I want to buy the green armchairs from.the lounge. Jacqui the manager kindly showed me the other rooms too and explained how each room has its on scent range which was so different and smelt amazing too. Can't wait to go back and take more friends along. Finished the visit with the best eggs royale for breakfast and a walk around the sculpture gardens.

The art hotel is such a quirky place filled with all manner of art & memorabilia to fire the imagination. The Moonrise room was so lovely with a beautiful bay overlooking the gardens & with original sash windows. The bed was amazingly comfortable - I slept so well. The facilities were great & the staff were very friendly and helpful. This was my first solo holiday after losing my husband & I couldn't have chosen a better hotel . I felt so well looked after - even when I was ill, they were happy to bring food to the room for me. It's such a beautiful setting & I love the owners' future plans moving towards sustainability & being carbon neutral. I definitely want to return in the future.
