Bathen House Boutique Hotel

The food was lovely, staff friendly and everything really clean! The place was really well looked after and had a lovely atmosphere. Breakfast was amazing, with both a small buffet and mixed menu to pick from; they were also really helpful at catering for some allergies that they weren't pre-warned about and gave several alternatives.

Our only moan (if being very very fussy) was that we were in the bottom floor room which when trying to watch on-demand TV it kept cutting out due to poor WiFi signal

The bed was very comfortable. The room was quiet despite being straight off the stairs. The bathroom was well appointed with a lovely bath. There was a good choice of options at breakfast and the food was very good. It was great to have parking on site. We enjoyed the walk into the city centre although some might struggle with the long uphill walk back!

Aspects of the room were below the standard of the rest of the place, minor maintenance issues: 1. There were stains on the carpet. 2. The internet was very slow which made it impossible to make use of BBC iplayer on the smart TV. 3. The hot tap on the bathroom wash basin was the wrong way round so you had to turn it the opposite way to normal. 4. The shower head dripped constantly.

Beautiful room (deluxe), exceptionally clean with a very comfortable bed and gorgeous bathroom (bath was to die for). Evening meal was expensive but very nice indeed. Staff were very friendly and went out their way to make sure you have everything you need. Thank you Franchesca for your warm friendly & helpful manner (& for writing out bus times : ))

I'm struggling to find anything negative as this is a beautiful hotel in every way! If l'm being really picky (& it really wasn't an issue) on our final morning the eggs were overdone. Im sure if we'd have said anything it would have been rectified but everything else had been so fantastic, it wasn't worth bringing up!

The room was very spacious with a king size bed and a couch. It had a television with subscriptions to Netflix, Amazon, Disney+ etc. The entry to our room was direct from outside the property, yet was very safe. We had the breakfast included, and it was totally worth with long list of inclusions. The best part was the service we received from the staff. They were really warm, welcoming and friendly; and made us feel very homely. Special thanks to Ms. Francesca who was very helpful throughout the stay. She explained us everything about the property and helped us with a list of places to visit and things to do in Bath. We are very satisfied with the service and would definitely consider Bathen House whenever we visit Bath again.

The room boasted high ceilings and ample space, complemented by blackout curtains guaranteeing a restful night's sleep. While not situated in the city's heart, its proximity to a nearby bus stop made it conveniently accessible. The peaceful ambiance of the area made a leisurely 2-mile stroll to the city center quite appealing. Attention to detail was evident throughout, with pleasant and intriguing decor featuring soothing neutral tones. The spacious bathroom was a highlight, though I regretted not having more time to indulge in it. Overall, the atmosphere felt welcoming and hospitable, akin to being at home. I enthusiastically recommend this place for a delightful stay.

I loved the quietly sophisticated decor, and the quality and size of the room. Everything was spotlessly clean and I particularly liked the breakfast. Cutlery and table linen were spotless. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.

I have very little negative to say. There was no wardrobe or storage space for clothes in my room, only an exposed rail with a few hangers. I only stayed one night so that was not a problem but for a longer stay with my wife it would have been an issue. Also, there was no light above the sink in the bathroom which and it was a little dark in that corner of the room.

The room and bathroom were really clean and very beautiful. We had breakfast both days which was delicious we also had an evening meal one of the nights which was also very nice. I can't fault much about this place. We had a room on the ground floor, it was beautiful and the bathroom was stunning. I would stay at this pretty little place again, I would recommend its so lovely. Great location only a short drive in to the town.

The bar has an honestly policy which is great however, we had 2 bottle of wine at £25 each, when serving yourself you wouldn't really expect to pay this much for wine.

The room and bathroom was very warm which is great for the winter weather The bed was very comfortable Majority of the room was clean, but noticed rust under the bathtub The tea and coffee range was superb

Unable to lock the door from inside the room, the lock seemed like it was broken We stayed in room 14, this was the first room you come to at the hotel, unfortunately every morning we was woken up from the kitchen staff below us, and the doors opening and closing, also the guests who were also staying in the hotel you could hear them going up and down the stairs which I know that can’t be helped. The hotel is around 10-15min away from bath city centre via bus, you can get a taxi/uber which will be the quickest. Would’ve of preferred to be closer to the town centre but didn’t do my research, however bus fare is £2 each wherever you go.

Everything. Room was immaculately clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and very accommodating - I can’t speak highly of them. Didn’t try the breakfast as it seemed slightly pricey, but the appearance of the dining area looked very well kept. Location was great - only 30 min walk or a few minute drive to the city centre. Bed was very comfortable too and the facilities were very clean. 10/10 would definitely recommend and likely to visit again in future.

The breakfast - at above £20 per person, seems too expensive.

From check in to check out it was faultless. Francesca was really amazing, professional and very attentive. Honestly she made our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for her at all. The restaurant was closed and she gave a few recommendations. We went for the Mai Thai. Thank you for that it was amazing. The hotel has plenty of parking. The bathroom was to die for. The decor was amazing. Everything was excellent. We will be back. Please keep us informed with offers as we would like to come back when the restaurant is open.
