That staff were really amazing! We missed our paid breakfast last time (which was entirely our fault), however, they still warmly offered us some hot refreshments, pastries and yogurt to have before we left off. Thank you to the awesome kitchen guys (apologize, I’m really bad with names) for not letting us leave with hungry stomachs! We don’t deserve it. Really lol We also love, love, love the hostel so much! The location is great. We really felt we were one with nature. And very close to a bus stop going to the City Centre and Train station. Too bad we had to stay for a night only and leave the following day for work back in London.

Value for money is extremely good and the location had a beautiful view. We had some issues with our room toilet and we were given alternate arrangement immediately which worked out very well for us. We also called in to say we might be a bit later than 10pm to check in and they immediately accommodated it. Staff service and response was outstanding.

A few issues on the day we stayed 1. Systems were down so was almost close to 11 when we were checked into our room. Had to wait meanwhile 2. Toilet didn't flush at all in the first 5 person ensuite we were given at 11pm and there was no maintenance person available at that time. We were given alternate arrangement and it worked out very well for us but toilets should have been checked prior and possibly fixed or alternate arrangement given to us when checking in. We had to move around 11.30pm after settling in the first allotted room. And What if the alternate rooms were fully booked, not sure how they would have managed.

I didn't take breakfast because I spent just one night but I was comfortable sleeping and waking, everyone in the dorm was well composed so that made it easy as well and the staffs were all on their smiles all times I encountered them. The environment is quite peaceful as well and easy to access the road and public transport.

Just the fact that when you bring your car, there is no where to park close to the hostel. Then I feel there should be a security light and maybe a camera for security purpose at the path way from youth bus stop to the hostel.

Everything! It’s a lovely old building, set in nice gardens, run by friendly and helpful people, it feels spacious, has good laundry facilities, a big kitchen, lovely views over Bath Abbey, a generally good vibe to the place, filled with mainly community minded and friendly guests of whom I made numerous friends in my week stay.

There are no hobs in the kitchen (apparently something to do with being a listed building), the one hallway outside our dorm room smelled a bit like toilet, and it’s at the top of a big hill - but that for me is totally worth it for the picturesque setting and view. Despite these minor things I totally loved this place.

Very nice staff with warm welcome and detail explanation of the facilities. The bed is really comfortable that I had an 8-hour straight sleep. There is a very good sharing dinning area to have our own breakfast. It is very convenient that the bus U1 stops in the front entrance of the hostel. You need to walk for 3 minutes up to hill and the door, but it is fine.

The shower is a little small and water goes out to the floor in the toilet, which could be dangerous for walking.

On site kitchen with vegan options, over all staff was friendly but did seem overwhelmed at times. Common shared showers and bathrooms were maintained well. Each bed in the women's dorm had individual charging stations. Common area where you can eat/drink or just hang out was nice. The grounds were nice and easily accessible by one bus to the main city.

The shared women's room looked like it is rarely cleaned around the beds. The ground around the bottom bunks and where the under bed lockers were was very dirty. Shower in the womens room was dripping and leaking and was quite annoying.

The hostel was up on the hill overlooking Bath, with a beautiful view. We were able to arrange luggage drop off at noon - greatly appreciated. The staff were so friendly and helpful! We had room #9, very spacious for the 3 of us. The ensuite bathroom was handy. The beds and bedding were fine. There was laundry avaialble for a modest fee. The cafe offered morning and evening meals, as well as beer and wine and cappuccino. The U1 bus stop was right out front.

Be prepared for a big climb from the train station. The wifi was spotty and stopped working altogether for us Android users. We knew that towels were not provided but we sure missed having no bathmat.

Location was excellent for not only working, but experiencing Bath Carnival! Staff were all super friendly and helpful with all questions asked. Loved that we could come and go as we pleased and our stay exceeded our expectation.

The only downer to my stay was the price of the breakfast. Being Vegan I couldn't have the amount of food that was on offer for the full English. Easily emended by having a separate costing to reflect the amount.

Very cosy and comfortable rooms. I liked the comfortable bed with clean bed linen. Extremely beautiful landscape.

I was unpleasantly surprised that the towels were for an additional fee. I've encountered this for the first time. I also didn't like breakfast. The food looked unappetising, and the coffee was from a thermos. There are an incredible number of great cafes in Bath, it is definitely better to have breakfast anywhere else than in a hotel.

Lovely location just outside of the city centre - 30 minutes by foot or 5 minutes by bus. Friendly staff and great facilities. Clean and spacious room. Good value for money overall with the option of a price worthy full English breakfast add-on at check-in.

The room we stayed in didn't have a shower head which made taking a shower slightly awkward. The bathroom lacked an extractor fan which, made the room humid after a few people taking consecutive showers.
