B&B to a very high standard with excellent food in the gastropub - the kitchen staff really know what they're doing - and friendly, polite service. One of the best we've been to.

There's not much to criticise about the Three Cranes. It's almost perfect. Being picky, if the hosts would like to improve anything, we would suggest bigger, fluffy bath towels rather than the thin, scratchy ones that everywhere seems to use these days. Also the flat screen TV in the room is quite small.

The beds were a bit too soft for my taste and creaked quite loudly when sitting or lying down. The food (breakfast included and dinner) was excellent. Landlord and staff all very friendly. Almost everything. The owners were very friendly as were the waiting staff and the ambience of the bar area and restaurant were very pleasant. We will come again when we visit the area next.

The only thing was the light and fan to the shower room came on as you opened the door, which being an older person and having the need to use the facility in the middle of the night was a little annoying for my wife as it woke her up. However this did not out way the good things.

We absolutely loved three cranes! It was beautiful and cozy in a quiet village like place the room was lush and cozy. The cooked breakfast was amazing, so delicious along with a selection of fruits and cereals and tea coffee/orange juice! We didn’t even get to say bye in the morning but thank you for having us we definitely enjoyed our stay!!xxx

Breakfast was excellent. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Bed was comfy and nice selection as of teas, coffee, hot chocolate, water & biscuits in the room.

No air conditioning, which would have been ok if I hadn’t stayed on the hottest day of the year, but there was a fan which helped.

Very welcoming cheerful happy staff. Helpful nothing to much trouble. Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice local produce. Room was very comfortable good variety of teas and coffee great shower room. Restaurant excellent.

Nothing to dislike.

The village is very picturesque with lots of stunning Riverside walks. Very safe and has that "old" feel to the area. The hotel room was nice and quiet with its own entrance and decent shower, comfy bed. Breakfast was amazing, the fried egg yolk was still runny just how we asked and the bacon was really good. Very good serving which we couldn't finish (probably due to hangover from previous nights wedding party) I've known about the pub and hotel for years but it's the 1st time I've stayed there. Would defo recomend if you are in the area.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but taxis are quite difficult to get if traveling locally as there only seemed to be one firm in the the next village. If you are travelling a little further than we were you will be fine though.

Stayed here last Saturday night with my son as we needed somewhere to stay after being at Santapod all day.. It was a lovely little find.. First off the staff were excellent. everyone had a smile and felt like they couldn't do enough for you.. Room was great and nice and clean.. I stupidly didn't think about booking the restaurant but the lovely lady said let me see what I can do and they managed to fit us in.. Food was great.. My son who is 9 kept saying these are nice people!

I suppose a cooked breakfast option would be good but not a big deal for us..

The Three Cranes is a great B&B option. We were welcomed warmly, and our accommodation (in the Turvey Room) was very good: warm, cosy and of high quality. We had dinner in the restaurant, which we enjoyed thoroughly, and a restful night of sleep. Breakfast in the morning was excellent. We started with fruit, yoghurt and cereal, and this was followed by a full English breakfast that was cooked on request, and extremely tasty. We recommend the Third Cranes thoroughly!

Breakfast was freshly cooked, nothing was too much trouble and the quality was fabulous. Bar service was great, fab selection of beers, wines and spirits. Evening meals beyond reproach, we often eat in high class / fine food restaurants, this was right up there with them !!
