Staff very friendly and helpful

Music in every public space. Had to pull the plug on a speaker in the conservatory area to get some piece and quiet to enjoy our drinks. Even in the dinning room at breakfast - more music. In the bar fine, but if you want to enjoy a quiet drink go and sit in your room or your car.

Beautiful building the room was large and very good, all the staff we met were absolutely fantastic so friendly and helpful, we had our meal outside in the garden the food and service was good.

The service charge put on our meal I hate that, I would have been happy to tip the staff but I do not want it pushed on to me.

Our room was over hot. There were two radiators in the room,the thermostatic valves on one was broken off, the other was stuck full on. we couldn't turn down the heat. The mattresses were thin and when I sat up my bottom touched the base. I think this hotel aspires to be a resort destination but there is more to be done yet. At dinner I ordered olives from the menu but they came back and told me they had run out with no offer of alternatives. Not very good. I think we paid for what they apire to rather than what we got.

What a fabulous short stay. Would have liked to have stayed another night or two. We will return. Everything was perfect. Room large and comfortable. Super bath! Ultra dog friendly. Our Labrador loved the attention and treats. Food superb. We had lunch, dinner and breakfast. All staff friendly and helpful. One lady helped us find our honeymoon hotel from 1982 - now a private residence! Keep up the good work. Added to our list of favourite places to stay.

There was nothing to dislike.

Excellent food. Every meal was beautifully presented and we tried food we had never had before. Such friendly and caring staff. A very cheerful welcome. The nearby village was attractive. Good area to visit other well-known places locally.

Room not as big as expected but it was an old building. Bathroom - two chips on the bath and a cupboard door missing under the basin. Shame people didn’t dress up a bit for dinner. The main waitress for one meal was really badly dressed.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The buildings are full of character and have a cosy, homely feel. Good idea to have happy hour in the bar. Plenty of parking space and good WiFi. Good location for visiting the surrounding area.

Very uncomfortable bed - but we were moved to a much better room once I mentioned this at Reception. Lots of noisy dogs, as it is dog- friendly. If you don't like dogs, maybe not ideal?

Beautiful period property, clean and staff was friendly and helpful. Pet friendly, we had our dog with us. The games room was fabulous and for some reason we had it all to ourselves during our stay which was a bit of luxury.

Dinner choices were very limited and as the property is in the middle of nowhere you have to drive to go anywhere for a meal out, which is not so easy if you are travelling with a pet or if you have had a full day out exploring the area and just want to chill. The hotel also advertised they would provide your pet with a dog bed and water bowl in the room, which did not happen. Not an issue as we got a bowl from one of the staff in the end and our pooch happily slept on the floor.

Disappointed with breakfast both days. Thought I could order off the breakfast menu but was told as its weekend it was buffet only. I'm not an art critique but thought the paintings and coat of arms in the dining room look tacky and not in keeping with the building. Had to leave the taps on in the bathroom ages to get any hot water. There are no complimentary items except 1 bottle of water. Everything in the basket in your room has to be paid for. It was quite stuffy, all the radiators were on.

Really cute hotel, with guest houses making its own village around the main house. Very friendly atmosphere all in all, for us as for the dog. Emma did a great work with both massage and facials. Just a perfect location to hangout with a cute beer garden and charming building overall. I would recommend to others / go again myself. They seemed to also offer both in and outdoor games so could imagine a fun weekend with a group too, with a vineyard just down the road and hotel offering -50% happy hours of their own gins etc

Very nice accommodation, in wonderful building. Ideal location for our trip to the Cotswolds. Staff very friendly and helpful. One particular lady on reception (sorry, but forgot to get her name) was particularly pleasant, and very obliging regarding flowers and checkout time.

Just a a couple of comments. Bedside lamp shades in need of dusting, and bathroom floor area in need of better cleaning (dust, and cobweb in corner). The surface of the bath was badly scratched and marked. This relates to room 12.
