A lovely hotel excellent chef Malcolm and everybody friendly very clean and lovely four-poster bed

Some of the staff need some basic training eg toast coming out white asked for tea or coffee condiments got given filter coffee the lady who works Saturday too Monday was very good I hope too revisit but was expecting a English breakfast wasn't told until after I paid and excellent chef only there Saturday and Sunday and no bar only soft drinks that didn't bother me but this hotel if made some small changes could be one of the best in bingley

The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The lady on reception was really pleasant and made us feel very much at home. We had 2 dogs, which were also made very welcome.. We had an excellent evening meal beautifully presented.. the curry was fabulous and my partners salmon was the same with generous portions too. The...banana split was divine!! The breakfast table looked lovely but we were too full to have anything more than toast following our evening meal ...Again the service was excellent! The staff were lovely and again they couldn't do enough for us. We were even asked if the dogs would like anything, which was again a lovely gesture.. Bettie and Tiggy also really enjoyed their stay at Oakwood Hall 💕🐶🐶 The garden was really peaceful and very well maintained. The building is beautiful and if you like to step back in time a little, then it's to be recommended...

I think many visitors would like to be able to purchase alcohol. We were forewarned there was no license, so we brought a bottle of wine..

Our room which was room 1 was spacious clean and felt very homely. The mattress and pillows was comfortable. The whole hotel is absolutely beautiful. Also we didn't realise they had a carpark to the side of the hotel until the taxi turned around up there! Plenty of space for bigger vehicles in this carpark , just follow the drive past the hotel on the left.

The only thing that made it 9/10 was we prefer a cooked breakfast and did not realise at the time of booking it was continental breakfast only. If we had we'd have chosen the reduce price room as ours included breakfast which we didn't eat. The room was beautiful but can see where it needs some tlc but that is something that can be done over time. Small things could bump up the star rating very easily, also it was a very hot room which will be fabulous in winter. We could only find one window that could open.

Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and cheerful. It is a beautiful building. Don't stay here expecting chain hotel uniformity. This is a gorgeous. old building and the rooms are beautiful and unique. I enjoyed a peaceful couple of nights here and would love to return - without having to bring work with me.

Breakfast was okay - but not great. No hanging space in the bedroom, but only there for 2 nights, so it didn't matter. My room was a bit on the small side - but I was travelling alone, so it was fine. I had some work to do and the desk was a bit small too. However, everything else was so lovely, I didn't care.

It was a beautiful gothic building, very quaint and rich in local history. The room was large, pleasant and had everything we needed. Although the hotel does not sell alcohol, we were allowed to take our own drinks into the bar and this was fine by us! The staff were superb - very helpful, friendly and welcoming. We really enjoyed our stay!

We were unable to get wifi in our room, but it was fine in the central part of the building. Although parts of the building could do with refurbishment, it would be a shame to lose such original and authentic character. The driveway up to the hotel was damaged with potholes, so keep an eye on where you are going!

Good place to stay. Our room (Room 1) was at the front, which overlooks the car-park and a tree-covered hillside. Large, with a decent bed. Easy access by car to all sorts of places. However, for foot/bike access, be aware that this is halfway up a hillside out of Bingley, and the nearest bus stop is only 2/3 the way up to the hotel. The most pleasant walk downhill is via side-roads/footpaths to Five-rise locks (NICE cafe) then down the canal to Three-rise locks and into town. Breakfast - they currently provide continental breakfast - a good selection of cold meats, cereals, pastries, juice, toast, jam, tea/coffee. We only stayed two nights, as part of a planned holiday, but it was very nice.

Breakfast fine, but there was no marmalade! The restaurant wasn't open, and they had no licence for the bar during our stay - which meant that we had to go out on foot or by car for meals - would have been nice to have stayed for one evening meal.

The Hall is magnificent. The architecture and interior are stunning. We researched the history of the house and design and it's fascinating. The bedroom was like from an Agatha Christie story..... beautiful

.Yes some bits need redecorating here and there but that added to the 'faded glamour' ....lovely. Breakfast was poor. Not really a breakfast. They would better advertising it as 'Free Tea. Coffee, Toast and cereal'. Them you know where you stand. The cold meats weren't nice and the crackers and croissants were stale tasting. Would have been better not to bother with them.

Beautiful old building with stunning features, fireplace and stained glass windows. Room was very big with a four poster bed and bath, it was comfortable and warm. The staff were exceptional, very warm and friendly and could not do enough to help, special thanks to Mark who worked in the evning and the lady who hosted breakfast.

I missed a cooked breakfast. Whilst the breakfast room was presented beautifully and the staff were brilliant, there really only was cereal/croissant/toast which was fine but for me the reason i wouldnt stay again. Also the bar was non alcoholic which was a real shame. It seemed to me the heart and soul of the building had been taken away.

Lovely old traditional hotel with lots of character. Don't expect to be able to turn off room lights from a bank of modern switches by the bed like any boring faceless hotel...mine was a proper homely old fashioned bedroom, very clean and a good size, which I really liked. The bathroom had been recently refurbished and absolutely spotless. Friendly and welcoming staff too who arranged taxis and took care of us at breakfast.

There was some mould on the wallpaper under the bedroom windows. But that doesn't mean I didn't like the hotel, it's just mould and it's perfectly understandable...these things take time and money to fix in an old building like this. My old house in Bingley had the same problem. In a way it added to the charm and wouldn't put me off coming again.

The hotel is well located and is a beautiful listed building and sympathetically restyled. There’s plenty of parking and the continental breakfast was lovely and plentiful. The staff were particularly nice - Marise arranged a beautiful room for us to mark a celebration and both the gentleman who checked us in and the lady at breakfast the following morning were friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed.

The TV stand and / or the table it sits on were very wobbly and the remote didn’t work but very minor points.
