Lovely comfortable bed, nice room decor - more design/style than a premier inn etc

The breakfast in the pub was very strange - no cereal, fruit juice, pastries... mainly hot food based - including Yorkshire puddings! Not what I wanted to eat.

The room was a good size and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a was a large shower with plenty of hot water and towels. I was there for 3 nights and the staff were wonderful giving me extra towels and toiletries. There is a large carpark adjoining the hotel. There were a few shops across the road and a bus stop outside the front door (taking me directly to Birmingham). A delicious hot breakfast can be purchased at a minimal cost.

Nothing negative. I have stayed at this Innkeepers Hotel on 2 other occasions and was happy to return for the third time. That's how good it is !!!

Lovely spacious and clean rooms, couldn't knock the shower both hot and plenty of flow with good pressure. Standard carvery from a toby never disappoints. All the staff at evening meals were great. One of the beers just wasn't right but was happily swapped for a different one no hassle. Desserts were quickly delivered upon request despite the pub being quite busy too.

The first morning there had been no direction for breakfast but between us and other guests loitering the lady on the bar caught our attention to explain. however was clearly not a morning person and refrained from friendly conversation or eye contact...the second day the owner/manager was there and she was a completely different person.... Poor choice on drinks at breakfast for the kids there was only water or milk(meant for hot drinks) only 2 of the 4 bathroom lights worked but this gave a nice ambience.

great staff and great place we have stayed here approx 5 times this year. the only thing was innkeepers head office was we cancelled a room for a night on free cancellation and innkeepers wont pay it back. but this has no reflection on the place or staff as they are great just head office keeping our money.

The staff upon arrival were friendly. The room was spacious, comfortable and with a large bathroom. We slept well and the whole building was quiet.

Breakfast, although as filling as one wanted it to be, was a disappointment. I found the system chaotic due to the fact that plates, cups, glasses, cutlery, cereal all had to be obtained at the bar; tea, coffee and milk were in another area, toast in another and the hot breakfast in yet another. I don't mind serving myself at all but I think the layout is something to be considered. It was my first time staying there and I had to ask other guests how to go about things.

I arrived at 12 as was going to a concert the staff accommodated me earlier than the original check in time which was amazing and helped me greatly in getting ready - Room was lovely and clean spacious and had toiletries in the bathroom . Plenty of tea and coffee in room . Staff were amazing advised me which bus to take to get to the arena which was 10 mins away Bus 9 £2 . Taxi back was £20 from arena - night staff were so helpful on return - Breakfast was plentiful and pipping hot . Amazing stay superb location and staff 1st class thank you I will be back

Staff!most staff were friendly.except night before we left.we had been funeral and were havin few drinks at bar.no bell was rang for last orders and when asked for drink around 10.15 were told no bar tills were closed early. However we sat in bar for bit just talking when barmaid gave pint cider to friends sitting in corner she had been talking too. We had been in bar night before with whole family eating drinking.service was so much more welcoming. Shame as it let place down.

The price was very reasonable, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was useful to us and had good facilities across the road. The bathroom was very clean and fresh looking.The car park is large and has lots of space to park. Overall it exceeded my expectations as it is a very large Toby Carvery

The room was a bit dark and tired looking and very warm. We were on the ground floor so felt like we couldn't have the curtains open to get more air in from the windows. The bed wasn't very comfortable, the mattress felt thin and hard.

Hotel was easy to find and handy for M5 access. Room was very spacious with comfortable bed and excellent value for the price I paid. Breakfast was good. Late check out of noon was very useful as I could work in the room in the morning.

Waiting to check in took quite a long time, as reception is also the bar for the carvery restaurant  – an acknowledgement from staff that they had seen me and would check me in when they could would have been appreciated, as I had to ask them. Bedding had a couple of stains. Wifi dropped out quite frequently, so needed to reconnect.

Bed was really comfy, had a great sleep even although my room looked onto the busy main road. Bathroom was impeccably clean.

Whilst the bedroom accommodation was very clean, downstairs was grubby, but was a Saturday so was very busy with customers, but still was 'grubby' on Sunday morning. Breakfast was disappointing, although a good selection of cooked items - had to ask where to find the juice/cereals, all seemed a bit haphazard. The handles on the spoons to self serve the breakfast items were really greasy - so much so, that I had to go get two more napkins to wipe my hands down before handling my own cutlery. Sounds pedantic when I write it down, but trust me, you could have cooked sausages on the handle of the beans spoon in particular!
