Peter Scott House had everything we needed. Hairdryer, iron and ironing board. A fan which was great as it was hot when we stayed there. The bed was large. Everything was spotlessly clean. The area was extremely quiet so we had a great night's sleep. We were advised we could use the facilities at the Edgbaston Park Hotel. We used the bar for a nightcap. Drinks were expensive but the staff were pleasant and helpful and the bar area itself was very relaxing. Parking at the Hotel is free but just be aware parking at Peter Scott House is for permit holders only. It is only a short walk across from the hotel to Peter Scott House so once we knew about the parking it wasn't an issue.

Peter Scott House looks very dated on arrival. The lift door is very slow to open and close. The bathrooms are tired looking however the shower was excellent. For the amount we paid it was great value but my heart did sink a little bit on arrival. We stayed two nights and by the time we left we couldn't fault the place and would definitely stay again. It just shows never judge a book by its cover!

The restaurant was first rate, serving a super steak in the evening, and I thought the breakfast was ideal, with a good range of food for varying diets. The room was very good, and the only reason I gave a 9 not a 10 was because the sealant was coming off the shower door.

Very little. Slightly clearer instructions about parking and reception would have been good for a first time visitor, but once I had gone up the wrong drive to Garth House, the board for which also includes the name of the conference centre at which one was instructed to park, left the car, walked around and then got back in the car and found that the next gateway was the right one, all was well.

All of it. Breakfast was superb, so was the comfort of the bed. Staff informed and helpful and friendly, which is nice.

Not complaints: consider it feedback, to be helpful. Unless I am mistaken there was no real ale in the bar (even in bottles, which would be acceptable). It seems we are expected to drink gin. Shower temperature could only be adjusted with the water volume, so I had to use many gallons for it to be warm...almost flooding the tray. Not very sustainable. The TV ( room 107 Peter Scott) had a fault: its image sometimes quivers. Something to do with the aerial cable. I didn't report it. I couldn't park my car at Peter Scott. I would have welcomed a little local information: what to enjoy on the bus routes from the venue. I like to ditch my bar and take public transport.

The room was ok. I loved the view onto the Tudor type building and the lawn. The breakfast was great. Staff were super friendly and helpful. I was extremely happy and impressed with their service. Particular mention to Meslie, a lovely Jamaican lady in Peter Scott House. Very kind and helpful. Also Merona and a couple of other young women waiting staff. So so kind and helpful too. Nothing was too much trouble. Exemplary service. Including the manager. Thank you. It means a lot. The locating was great for watching the tennis. The grounds were beautifully maintained.

It would have been essential in this unusually long period of hot weather to provide a fan in the room. I was melting and suffered a lot. It was very stuffy and even with the windows wide open, the night was very unpleasant. Had I known Peter Scott House was a little way from the main hotel I would have changed the booking as my mother is disabled and it was very hard and stressful to walk that distance. Unfortunately the food was hit and miss and it wasn't cheap. However, when I complained both mains were given free of charge which I thought was a wonderful gesture. The next night too was also overcooked and dry. Mine was sent back and changed. Staff were very obliging which is not always the case elsewhere. The lemon and elderflower eton mess is a must!

Everything was perfect very quiet and peaceful my room was clean and amazing I had a very beautiful view of a lovely garden by my window they also have heatings in the hall way that keeps you warm while walking over to your room, how thoughtful is that, that's something you don't see everywhere. Overall 100/100.

Well the reception where you collect your keys is at the other side of the building, is not that far but someone who's never been there will be confused, but still okay I love the coordination of everything

Breakfast was really good, with great choices for various diets. The room was good value for money, with a very comfortable bed. The location is conveniently close to the University of Birmingham. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There is no air conditioning and the windows barely open (for safety reasons) so it felt a little stuffy at times. Breakfast is in a different building so you need to walk a little to get there. The shower was slightly old, but still worked okay.

quiet location on campus. Good desk in room, close to the conference centre. well placed for a morning run though there are many dead ends on campus. I knew of Peter Scott as an artist but was unaware/forgotten that he had been chancellor.

Plumbing primitive - toilet took 4x to flush properly, Design issue. Bed a little to hard (I like hard beds). Shower was too much off-on - not ecological water flow.

The environment around is perfect for having a comfort stay, very quiet and peaceful. The staff was extremely helpful, they let me leave my luggage for free and they helped me to figure out how to travel to London the same day.

There was a little noise in the building, maybe something related to plumbing which took place day and night. It wasn’t a big deal but if you have light sleep it can annoy you.

Very close to University. Perfect for open day. Clean and comfortable room. We were on a budget and this suited us fine. We asked at booking time to change the double bed into twin beds and this is exactly what we got. Staff very nice and helpful. Nice breakfast.

Everything was fine apart from the hair dryer which wasn't working and poor reception for the TV but it didn't really matter as we were only there 1 night. Read our books instead :)

Brilliant quiet location. The staff were really helpful, explaining where to park, and making sure you felt looked after while on site. The breakfast was exceptional, a huge selection on offer and freshly cooked. Will certainly stay again.

The lift was a little slow to arrive and the pillows slightly firmer than my personal preference, but apart from that, no faults.
