Very Organised, warm/friendly staff, good sized room, plenty of hanging room and storage, complimentary toiletries, tea/coffee facility in room, sheets/bedding/towels were crisp/clean as was room and bathroom...very clean 10/10, quiet nights sleep, good breakfast options and bar/club available too

A little tlc in shower, could do with hand rail for hand towel (hook on back of door for bath towel was fine), whilst sheets were crisp & clean, they need to be a little bigger to fit mattress as they kept coming away during the night.

This was exactly what I was looking for - a clean, efficient room to stay in whilst I was at a conference. Leslie (member of staff) was particularly welcoming but all of the staff served you with a smile. Leslie is the chef and her food was impeccable - I’ve included photos of the medium breakfast (a bargain £5) and the massive burger I had in the evening, which was £8 I think. The rooms are above a lively pub (even on weekdays) but you don’t hear the noise from downstairs at all. The location is perfect, there is a bus stop right over the road and the X21 service takes you either into Birmingham, the hospital or the Uni (which is where the conference was, so perfect for me) - a day ticket is £4. There is on street parking if the car park is full - it usually emptied in the evening and I was able to move my car into it no problem.

The bathroom light was a tiny niggle in that it was a motion sensor one so sometimes during my shower it would go dark until I waved my arms about, but it was a minor annoyance really - no harm done!

Very friendly and helpful staff. Ideal location for our purposes. Room was beautifully quiet. Free Parking. Local shops very handy. Bar on site. Bus-stop immediately outside. Delicious food, freshly cooked to perfection. Affordable prices.

Tiny bathroom. Slight plumbing problem/ leak in bathroom caused strong smell of damp on arrival (room 22). Breakfast was late both mornings (but excellent when arrived)

The room was reasonably small but had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. The staff were really friendly. There is a bar downstairs and breakfast was available in the morning, we didn’t visit the bar or have breakfast at the property but good to know that those facilities were available had we needed them. Great value for money and great location. Perfect for what we needed.

The room was a good size, facilities were good, toiletries provided, good amount of plug sockets, little desk in the room good for getting ready or leaving snacks and drinks and tv, shops across the road and a bar downstairs

It's a little out of the way but I'd stay again, it's not a premium hotel and my expectations weren't high but I was happy with it

I stayed here for over 2 weeks during the games. for what I paid it was excellent. Little tatty and tired in places but great location, parking and the best staff you could ask for. would definitely come back

Breakfast a little hit and miss. Excellent value but one day took a while when so busy and another day finished bit earlier than advertised

The staff was very friendly, we arrived too late for dinner but there was a Chinese takeaway across the road and the really helpful guy on the front desk supplied us with plates, forks and even sauce ( for the kids). The rooms are very basic but good value for the money we paid, they were clean and had everything you needed. We had breakfast and that was very nice. There’s also a nice bar for you to have a drink and a game of snooker pool or darts..

The walls are paper thin and we could hear everything going on outside and next door. There was nothing not to like..
