I was extremely happy with staff's communication and efficiency! During check in I had an extremely tight turn around of 15 minutes as I had to go spectate a team at a competition taking place at the BIC which is only 5 minute walk away. They checked me in within 5 minutes and did not take my flustered-ness personally at all... in fact they were really calm about it and understood my rushedness without judgement! I also had an issue where I couldn't check out during the check out period as I was competing at that time. I had messaged them about this when I had booked them (quite late at night) and I was very surprised they were quick to respond saying they were fine with keeping my bags safely at the hotel until I was ready to collect. 2 Separate staff members clearly remembered this request as well and immediately knew who I was - again, excellent communication, care & attention to detail. The cooked breakfast was also good - it was quick and I was attended to super promptly!

Amazing hotel, nothing was too much trouble for the lovely lady who checked us in. She showed us to our room, which was a 2 bedroomed suite. Very well equipped with fridge, microwave, shower gel, hand wash and plenty of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. Also 2 bottles of fresh drinking water. As we were checking out very early the owner said she would cook our breakfast extra early for us. Breakfast was delicious and the children loved their pancakes from the special children menu. We would definitely stay again.

Nothing to dislike, this hotel is just perfect.

Breakfast was delicious - a good choice of cereals and cooked breakfast items - they cater for allergies too. The host was lovely, she carried my friend's suitcase to our room downstairs. Great value for money Our double room was on the lower ground floor. It was a good size, modern and clean. The shared spaces are a little dated, but clean.

Our shower was temperamental and either super hot, or cold, although we made the best of the cold water and cooled off after a hot day outside (22°c)! Not so nice in the morning though. Our radiator wouldn't turn off, so we had to sleep with the windows open- which meant we could hear every noise outside.

I was impressed with the hotel I'd chosen, it was in a safe, quiet location and close to the beach. I booked a shared bathroom accommodation and wasn't sure what it would be like as I've never shared before so I was glad that there were only 2 other rooms sharing the bathroom. The bathroom was clean and all the toiletries. My room was small and clean, it even had a fridge. The bed was comfortable and had a goodnight sleep. Breakfast was good and well done and the staff were friendly. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.

Only there for 2 nights, but ideally situated for all our needs. Close to the beach, plenty of eating and drinking establishments nearby too. Breakfast was 'spot on' plenty of tea and coffee in the room. Parking limited, but still managed to park, all different times of the day, afternoon or evening. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Stairs to our room, as it was situated 'below stairs' it was lovely and cool though, which was a godsend, as the weekend we were there, was the hottest this year, so far!

The lady that greeted us was absolutely lovely, she was a fantastic host, and generally lovely to be around! The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the BIC, which made getting there and back after a concert incredibly easy. It was warm, the room was pretty basic but the beds were extremely comfortable. Tea and coffee station was perfect, and there was even a small fridge in the room, which was a lovely surprise! Breakfast was fabulous, all cooked fresh to order. Plenty of food, plenty of tea and coffee, and offered more toast!

There were parts of the hotel that weren't necessarily clean. Our shower cubicle had hairs on the bottom when we arrived. But nothing a quick rinse out didn't fix. There were some quite strange stains on the side next to the sink, and on the toilet lid itself. But had quite obviously been there for some time. At breakfast, the tables and chairs were covered in toast crumbs, and other various food crumbs (I assume) so had to wipe the chairs off before we sat down. And the same with the table we were sat at. The lids of the small milk jugs were also starting to rust on the inside, so had to be careful not to get any rust in our morning brew! Nothing too serious, just things we noticed during our stay.

I really liked the hospitality of the owners and staff. My room was small but I was on my own so it was perfect for what I needed. I loved the veggie breakfast - really well cooked - and a good veggie sausage (quite often they taste like sawdust!). The hotel was really handy for the BIC which was where I was working.

I couldn't get the shower to run hot consistently. Maybe I didn't leave it to run long enough to start with. Only a minor criticism.

Amazing breakfast with a great choice. The room was as expected for the price we paid. The location was very good, a short walk into Bournemouth, all downhill. The bus stop was about 100 yds from the hotel. As an older person with health issues the bus came in handy getting back up the hill from Bournemouth. A few places to eat near the hotel in the evening, we had a couple of meals in the Italian, not cheap, but what it is these days. I would stay at this hotel again if I was in that area. A very pleasant lady running the hotel who couldn't do enough for you.

Nothing could be better for the price we paid, and the service.

We were looked after exceptionally well by the lady owner. She couldn't do enough to help accommodate us. Without asking, she changed our room to a ground floor family room as she could see I was struggling with walking due to having a bad hip. The cooked breakfast were very good, the children's breakfast were free, which were a cooked breakfast then they had pancakes too. There was lots of choice on the menu which was great for 3 autistic children that struggle with food choices. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the hotel, just to note it is on a hill from the beach to the hotel so be prepared if you struggle with walking 😉 We were also aloud to keep our car parked at the hotel after we had checked out so we could still spend the day exploring Bournemouth. We will definitely return to this hotel 😊

Wasn't anything with the hotel we didn't like

This was our first time in Bournemouth. We went over a bank holiday weekend with our almost 3 year-old. The staff was kind and very helpful, the room was very clean, the breakfast was nice, the guests were respectful of one another and were mindful of noise when coming and going.

This is a lovely old building so the floorboards were a bit creaky when the upstairs guests were walking around in their room, but this was quite a minor inconvenience.
